Okay, it was just worded weird to me. Do you fantasize about the one? If so then you probably just need the right person. If, OTOH, you never actually fantasize about sex (not to be confused with cuddling or close relationships) then you're probably asexual. Granted, sexuality tends to be fluid so someone asexual can change, and someone can become asexual who wasn't before, just as straight people can become gay (either momentarily or forever) and vice versa. Sexuality is very weird and not something we as a society understand despite our obsession with it.

The reason the thread becomes about you when you mention asexuality - because the same thing happened when I replied to you about it some time ago--- is that you tend to make unintentional faux pas on the subject.For example asexual people are actually pretty enraged about being told that "they just haven't found the one" - when the reality is that they simply don't experience sexual desire. So when you casually mention something like that - to you it's just a comment you made in passing --- but to others it could be more serious. It's like when certain "traditional" or closed-minded types tell a gay person they are not really gay.. They simply haven't found the right person of the opposite sex. So if a gay person has had to deal with that their whole lives and they read a comment on LL that says: "Hi! Btw I feel like I am probably a gay guy but maybe I just haven't found the right woman yet" - it touches a sore spot. You can say whatever you like Cappy - don't get me wrong. But this is the reason why it becomes 'about you'. It's not like others wake up on the wrong side of the bed & simply decide to make it about you. IP: Logged |

Just from the limited number of people I can think of atm, Venus/Saturn seems to be a theme (very predictable I know) Also cliche but Virgo is associated with "purity" which I've noticed to an extent and think this can apply with Pisces too... Literally every person I know who's waited is either a Pisces or Virgo sun or moonPersonally I have Asc ruler (sag moon) in 5th house, and 5th house ruler (aqua venus) in 8th. Moon sextile venus, moon trine jupiter, venus opposite jupiter... I've probably always been the opposite of uninterested in sex lol (casual or otherwise) but it's taken me a long time to be fully comfortable with that and understand it. I agree with Pixiejane sexuality is pretty weird and complicated, and labels can always change... IP: Logged |
