My sister is an absolute ***** and she's very arrogant. She thinks I copy her & is very conceited. As much as I love them, I'm attributing arrogant and vain people to Leo energy.
What sign or aspect do you think is most arrogant?

Here's an example of something she'd do:
My brother would go get milk from the fridge. & "I'd be like that sounds great, I think I'll go get some milk too." And my brother he would shut the fridge on me & say, "what do you think your doing?" I'd be like "Getting milk" and he'd be like "But I'm getting milk" & I'd be like "Yeah, so? So you had a good idea." And he goes like "Why are you always copying me?" & I'd be like "Yeah because I'm always copying you ,Adam. Arrogance? That'd be Aries, Leo, Scorpio, and Capricorn energies. I've been guilty of this before but in a healthy way since I no longer have much of an ego. I've seen people take it too far though and it becomes destructive to others. My cousin is a Pisces so you'd think he would be the least likely to be arrogant but he's got most of his planets in Capricorn and I think he's an Aries rising so he comes out way different. My friend is an Aquarius but has Mars in Leo so this gives him an arrogant streak.IP: Logged |

I'm a Leo and I admit, I used to be really arrogant as a kid. But now, I'm not. I guess I grew out of it.My sister is a Leo, too, but she copies me a lot. It actually bugs the hell out of me. I hate it when people copy me. And it's not even like she's copying me subtly, she does it in a very obvious way. I think it's because of her insecure placements, though. Anyway, Aries are more prone to arrogance than us Leos. We do know how to bow down to people when they deserve it. Most of the Aries I know don't. IP: Logged |

Fire signs are arrogant (Leo leading).
Earth signs are ignorant (Capricorn leading).
Water signs are biased (Cancer leading).
Air signs are idealistic (Libra leading).^(All "may or may not" be rather flawed ways of thinking).
It's good to be ignorant to something that makes zero sense because it's then a waste of time. (Capricorn - "Time is money!"). Lol.
It's good to be arrogant when you're confident about your idea or knowledge in the given situation. (Leo - "I know I'm right. Research and check for yourself.").
It's good to be biased when it involves someone who loves you unconditionally vs. someone who couldn't care less about you. (Cancer - "I would protect my offspring from whoever tries to harm him/her.").
It's good to be idealistic when in search for new ideas, have enough resources to back up the idealism, on a team with a bunch of practical people and trying to start a creative project, or to lighten up a mood and bring motivation. (Libra - "How beautiful would it be to experience an all-encompassing relationship with the girl of my dreams."). Perhaps if I were to say Aries was leading with fire sign arrogance, there would be a connection as the other leading signs are cardinal modalities. They're the first sign for each element as well; which can maybe mean that the cardinal signs express their specified element most naturally and stereotypcally than the other modalities. Or, if I were to say Aquarius was leading with air sign idealism, then there would be another connection, as Leo is Aquarius's opposite and Cancer is Capricorn's opposite. Fixed signs are stubborn (Taurus leading).
Cardinal signs are one-track minded (Capricorn leading).
Mutable signs are changeable (Gemini leading). ^(All "may or may not" be rather flawed ways of operating and thinking).
It's good to be stubborn when someone is trying to persuade you of doing something negative like breaking your religious or spiritual traditions, or doing something dangerous. (Taurus - "You want me to slide across that freezing lake? There's no way I would do that. I don't care if you already did it, it's still dangerous.").
It's good to be on-track minded when you're on the direction and path of something productive, beneficial and successful. (Capricorn - "No, I can't, I have work to to do now, maybe another time." or "I want to be an accountant, so I will never give up and work until I achieve it, so no distractions or recreation time for me. Because then, I can do all that, plus more").
It's good to be changeable when you need to be flexible, multitask, or try out different things at once to see the direction it's heading in - will it work out or turn out to be a failure. If it fails, no worries, I have this to do instead. (Gemini - "This is boring, let me do this instead because it is more exciting and I can work better with it since I enjoy it more."). If I were to say Aries for leading with cardinal sign one-track mindedness, then there will be a connection because each leading sign for the modalities would be the first sign of each modality. Interesting observation. I read somewhere that Aquarius has as large of an ego as Leo. Some aquarians in my life have fit this description as I have observed them being slightly arrogant about their intellect- using it to play mind games on people who clearly are no match to them. Btw not bashing the sign of Aquarius, this was just my observation of some of the unevolved ones.

Yeah, Aquarians can have superiority complexes when it comes to their intellect and ideas.

As a Leo.... It depends. I can be arrogant or even insecure.
My arrogance tends to come out during confrontation sometimes.
Otherwise, like at work I tend to be confident but not arrogant.

Capricorn, they take everything so serious. I'm an Aries who's just had a small falling out with a male capricorn friend because I "hurt" his feelings by the way "I came at him" because I had to end the conversation. Most arrogant man I've ever met. Apparently my "behavior" is showing him "who I really am" lol...From what I've seen of Capricorns they are the most arrogant so far,to me. IP: Logged |

Hahaha its interesting that you guys mentioned Caps. I have closely known an Aqua sun/leo moon and a Lib sun/cap moon. Both have a non-compromising energy. I don't know if I can classify them as arrogant buy I could definitely sense a bit of an inflated ego there. Definitely not the doormat types of people.IP: Logged |

I think it comes out when they talk about themselves.Also all fixed suns are strong because they don't change. So fixed suns come off as my way or the high way. It differs from arrogance but very similar energy though.
Aries are selfish and childish. Libras are self-righteous. Virgos think they are perfect. Capricorn think ppl don't worth their time.

Because someone can be biased with their own idealism about something, and therefore, not accept reality sometimes. Idealistic fits because it can be a rather flawed way of approaching something, like being arrogant, ignorant and biased. Air signs might be biased with their understanding of things, which means being too idealistic. I don't find Leos to be arrogant. Just stronger in expression. Aquarius maybe but it's more because they know what they are talking about (or maybe you disagree. lol).If you're talking arrogance in the form of inflated ego, i would think Aries, Capricorn and the rest of the cardinal signs.

i thought a lot about arrogance in astrology !here is my conclusion : leo are not arrogant they are more bragging about themselves : " me, i, myself" "i shine" etc.. virgo are more vanity i know a leo/virgo mix type and he is so a boaster, and don't want to be outshined. leo are immediatly grumbling if they see someone outshining them or compete. But that's not arrogance!!!! arrogance is an insulting way of thinking or behaving that comes from believing that you are better, smarter, or more important than other people. in someway, leo have this streak but generally speaking a sun square jupiter get an inflated ego that lead to arrogance and an afflicted sun often. I never saw someone as arrogant as me. I am so arrogant...i am even offended when someone dare to talk to me...then i am thinking a lot about what's wrong with this people and even myself to attract such people even those with a high status, smart etc...because i don't care i know i am smarter, i am better etc...i even come to an age where i say that it's no worth to proving my magnificence to this stupid world anymore.But sometimes I have to prove my considerable magnitude when a decorated man come to me trying to pontificate me because he felt he was in front of a demi-god so i speak i open waters in 2 parts with words and science(20 years of reading books and many high degrees gave me omniscience) then i am back again in scorn mode. Pus i have the capricorn streak wth saturn on ascendant that make me a master of denying others for their insignifiance, it gives so much joy, but it leads to solitude also so you have to assume that part of the game but otherwise you take all benefits from arrogance: being an eagle among those rats... I have 4 planets in Leo.Am a super Leo I was told I am arrogant. IDK. If you don't mingle, you are arrogant.

People who don't know me, like when they first see me, usually before they talk to me, think that I am very arrogant. I'm not arrogant, they find out after they talk to me. I seem that way for some reason. Many people said this to me.
I have cancer rising, I also have sun in the 5th house. I am not sure which placement is responsible for this.IP: Logged |
