what do you think is serious stuff? I don't think we intent to hurt people at all… I think sometimes I just get very confused about facts and forget what is the truth…I also really suck at maths(this could also be linked to this aspect?)

Sure everyone lies sometime, but not habitually or necessarily in the same way or for the same reasons.

I'm looking for (like it says in the op) people who lie or over-promise. YOU identified yourself as one of those people. You're naturally the person I was looking for to ask questions.

It's not exactly an over-promise if it was not intended from the beginning. So how can I be one of those people?

Everyone lies! It's a matter of survival of the individual. Whether that be socially, or even life or death.
I was hoping that I wouldn't have point this out.

And to put it blunt, this is really generalized.

"Mercury in hard aspect to Neptune are liars and make promises that they cannot keep."

Only them. Yeah right.

You keep editing your posts. Wanna make sure I acknowledge all of it like you asked. You can in to respond as fitting my assessment if those with the aspect.
Bluntly...

"I am a Mercury Neptune and I make promises I don't plan to keep. "

HELLO

You've fulfilled my curiosity with this exchange so I thank you for that. The similarities are uncanny.

Yes, actually!!! I'm also noticing that!!! I have BS in Computer Science and Math Minor and MS in Information Systems. People say I'm too analytical, but it pays the bills!!! Sun in 2nd house!!

My idea of serious doesn't matter. What matters as serious is the person you're lyi....errr equivocating to.

What are your experiences with Mercury ❌ Neptune?
What aspect do you have?

I have Mercury Trine Neptune.

Or they could be great writers

What's not being understood here is that I've called these people in to see what reactions I will get for these exchanges on the subject, not to correct them or chastise. It's easy to ask a stranger with no real interest in their lying/promising habits than a parent or a lover or a friend or Barack Obama who has this aspects and may need you to believe a lie in the future.

I'm getting exactly what I came in for.

How does saying "Make sure you acknowledge my post", then I decide to edit my post, have anything to do with lying?

I edited them because I wanted to add something. And I admit, my bad for that. I should of just quoted it and added from there. I have a habit of doing that. I also never said "posts", I said "this post".

And again, I never said "I don't make promises I don't plan to keep". I said "I just wasn't sure in the beginning. So instead of letting them down, I say yeah."

Whoa. Didn't say your edit had anything to do with lying.
You wanted me to acknowledge your previous post fully, so I'm giving attention to that request.
You're getting a bit TOO defensive at the moment. Please reread if you so desire to catch my meaning.

Okay, I see.

But where did you get this from?

"I am a Mercury Neptune and I make promises I don't plan to keep. "

"HELLO"

"You've fulfilled my curiosity with this exchange so I thank you for that. The similarities are uncanny."

Is that implying that I do this?

When did I ever say that I make promises that I do not plan to keep?

So where is the similarity between what I said and the truth about me?

Saying you will do something and noting being sure if you will do it becomes a lie when you don't do it.

So far from the truth.

I'm either considerate of other people's feelings and therefore, make it seem lighter, or blunt as hell. But never a liar.

Mercury in Libra in the 3rd House square Neptune in Capricorn in the 6th House

I used to never break promises, but now I have become kinda flaky, so I have to say I do in a way. Except, I never say "I promise that ___".

So perhaps, in a way, saying that I am going to do something and then I don't is technically considered lying.

I was merely mirroring your response below:

Wow…maybe the trine works greater than the square.. I can do math if I'm forced to do it, but it's not because I actually understand it…
But you are right, others may think I'm one huuuge liar, because I "bended the truth" with some smaller facts

Does Obama got this aspect? LOL very interesting indeed.

He does. While I generally support him ( Do not try to troll with political debate. I will not bite ), Immediately thought about him promising people could keep their current plans when he really wasn't sure.

Okay, but then I said "I don't lie in the sense that "lying" is used.

"All I'm saying is that "breaking a promise" is technically considered lying. And I am being "honest" about that."

I didn't truly lie, as I was not intending to from the beginning. I said if we were to get technical it was.

Not true, for me anyway. Mercury square Neptune, very tight orb. If I know I can't keep the promise or whatever I said I'd do I just don't do it. It's that simple. I'm not a liar and don't do or say things because they look good at that moment. I value my reputation.

EDIT- You shouldn't pick on other's opinions because they don't agree with you. After all astrology IS all a matter of opinions. You could ask 10 different astrologers one question and get 10 different answers

But again, I never said "I over'promise" to people, lol.

They ask me if I am going to do something and I am uncertain about the exact result. How would I know is something pops up and I cannot do it? That is why I prefer to tell them "Idk" or "Maybe".

And yeah, I am about technicalities as well, which is why I even mentioned it being technically a lie, but not truly a lie in the way the word is commonly used

*edited* because it is a waste of breath(type) really -
&
This /is/ a witch hunt.

- when someone is looking to confirm a pre-existing bias by seeking anyone with that trait (aspect/placement), with no concern for establishing reasoning and understanding with those of that same "marker", and still insisting they must fit into that prejudice based on some very narrow-assessment that only exists in their own mind/vision (experience), (even when provided evidence against or examples for greater discussion of the root and differences behind those misconceptions/beliefs and actions); and, a lack of acknowledgement or dismissal to those responding by stating any difference to that discrimination as being obviously "defensive" and "liars" as well (in the eyes/assessment of the OP), it shows that, yes... this is you finding just what you want to see, where you want to see it, regardless of all other factors. All be damned who see things differently.

It's also clear that the (2nd house) values you have are set as "superior" in your mind, so that the values of others are not heard or given the same due consideration. Which is fine of course.

all I can really say is...
glass houses... he without sin... etc...

maybe - put a lil *disclaimer* in your OP so others know you aren't considering anything they say that doesn't somehow prove you right.

Oh, but who would really be left to respond...

the 5th house stellium is in contention with those in the 2nd - so you do seem to get a lot of personal enjoyment out of the provocation, feeling superior and right.

M.I. is actually someone who came into this thread open to discussion, and somehow you'd managed to put words in their mouth, misconstrued what they were trying to explain, and dismissed them as being the "perfect" example of what you are looking for. How very insulting... I don't see myself (and hopefully M.I. too) participating in your threads in the future, LP. It's not very productive for people who want to discuss and expand their understanding to feed into the discriminating mind that is in every way opposed to expansion, admitting fault, or compromise. It just wants to be right.

; ; oh... and that was honesty. Don't want my Merc-Neptune to confuse you with all its smoke and mirrors, heaven forbid a fork-tongued, Janus speak true, right?
