The only way I see venus in sag as a cheater is if they don't view cheating as a big deal and feel monogamy is unrealistic and they will use facts and science to explain why, or if they are atheist or agnostic etc..

If they have a belief system they are attached to that thinks cheating is wrong they wont do it, their belief system is more important to them, the fear of karma or consequences would be stronger and their self esteem is derived a lot from upholding their belief system with this placement I feel so that would be more important to them than even love I think..

I don't know a lot of venus in sag though! so I could be off but that is my impression so far...

My one ex used to sabotage some of my relationships by kissing me, making it so I kinda cheated on whatever boyfriend I had. Then I felt guilty and would break up with the boyfriend...I was pretty dumb about it actually, and had a super sensitive conscience, like hypatia was saying.

I was with my college boyfriend very faithfully for four years except twice I kissed another guy and immediately told my boyfriend, ending the relationship (which started again later.)

Thing is it's not like I have EVER been a player or promiscuous.

LOL! wow NICE! omg i never kissed anyone but i do get crushes sometimes but i try not to fall in love as that is what happened to me before and i stopped seeing that girl right away because i could not be emotionally investing myself with someone while i' m in a relationship.

but again i have moon in 7th in aries square uranus ugghhhhhh

You fit my perception of venus in sag prone to very guilty conscious, your mars in gemini is the curious one and venus in sag is like how dare you! and then you would end up being honest about your slip ups and ending the relationships bc venus in sag has very high ideals and prone to excessive guilt IMO..

Well you and others would call that justification or rationalization but to him what he is really truly saying is that he does not belief in monogamy but lives in a world full of people that do and that is how he copes with that discrepancy/issue by being loyal but not faithful and by having that rule that he always sleeps at home.

My first boyfriend was a Moon/Venus in Sag, never cheated, although he had wandering eyes, to be sure. He was also seventeen at the time so I think we can cut him some slack..

My boyfriend is a multiple conjunct Sag (Sun/Mercury/Mars/Neptune) conjunct in the FIFTH HOUSE!!! and he's the antithesis of a cheater. I mean, they love their space, yeah. They definitely hate boredom. They love to explore, they love a partner with an open mind, they love to laugh. If you can provide these things.. they're yours! You can't hang onto them with a Cancer-type of clinginess or a Virgoan-type of expectation and assume they'll be the perfect partner cuz.... yikes!

oh I see i understand yeah that would look good in synastry but its my girlfriend's natal. That's an interesting way to put it. I didn't have a problem with that belief. I really don't think I can do monogamy as well; he made me realize that about myself because I like variety too much and as much as I wish I could, I can never find that one person to fulfill the variety of life. I stayed loyal and never left my boyfriend while I was playing around with this Venus in sag. The Sag Venus used to try to lure me away from him but I just couldn't do it and eventually, he learned that I wouldn't and stopped trying. So we only came together when our significant others were out of town. I was honest about it with my boyfriend. The sag Venus wasn't with his girlfriend. That's the problem I had with him. He wasn't honest at all. We're not longer in that situation anymore and I'm completely single now for the first time in 9 years. I love it.

I know there are going to be lots of people shaking their head right now.

"High Ideals" is a great summation of his character, actually! He also has a Scorpio Venus (detrimental, fixed energy) so while he's only had 4 girlfriends in the 37 years he's lived, they've all been for YEARS because he's so picky that when he finally chooses, he'll stick with the decision until the very grim end.

Mercury is at 12°
Sun is at 13°
Neptune is at 17°
Mars is at 25°

Plus the 5th is a fixed house so I imagine the "stubborn" elements of Leo only exacerbate the (at it's worst) "holier-than-thou" vibes of Sag once Sag commits to a decision.
