^ Thank you. Well said And I also meant, relative to emotional cheating: what is that? I think people can close themselves off too much from others, in the name of fidelity. So, if you have feelings for someone, the expectation is that you: a) track your feelings like a hawk to make sure they stay at an acceptable strength level b) suppress your feelings when they exceed the proper level c) properly name and catalog the feelings (ie, "just friends," "small crush," "infatuation") at all times to help you behave in strict accordance with standard societal protocols relative to each level. Again I am resorting to parody to get my idea across. What we end up is an international love deficiency where people are afraid to feel too much, because feelings can be so transgressive. Done. Lip zipped. Have a nice day

That's deep right there. I do agree. Putting it into practice is challenging with Neptune influence though. IP: Logged |

My Jupiter is in Sag so this Venus never fails to put a big grin on my face! They can't be kept in one place or forced to be with anyone who doesn't excite and stimulate their thirst for discovery. I so love their freedom aspect and they should always be as they are. If a venus in Sag is dishonest, they probably haven't taken that inner journey to figure out what they want, which can happen with all of the signs. Choice lies with the individual. If you're the one for them, they won't stray. IP: Logged |

Definitely not the generalization I'd give... more like they feel nervous to be pinned down, perhaps. Don't want to feel 'trapped.' So, maybe not unfaithful, but in need of their freedom in order to commit to a relationship. But I notice that with all Sag types. Very dreamy and fun-loving, adventure-seeking people, and usually absolutely stunning physically. But, feeling trapped is a very very bad thing for people with lots of Sag. IP: Logged |

I also agree with others on the board who cited Venus in Geminis as worse. And actually, one of my best girlfriends has Venus in Aries and even when she is extremely secure in her relationships, she is okay with the occasional fling. She will almost always wind up at least kissing someone outside of her partnership. She doesn't expect the people she dates to be any more faithful than she is, but that is just her approach. Committed.... but with one foot out the door just in case. IP: Logged |

I've refrained from posting in this thread thus far. My ex-wife is Venus in Sag, as a couple others I've known. And a couple of Venus in Gemini as well. My Leo Moon finally compells me to defend some honor.I find threads that name a placement as "more" or "less" likely to cheat unhelpful and on a par with "most likely to lie", "most likely to steal" or "most likely to commit murder". While the percentage may be higher for certain signs than others, a minority of every sign can and does fall victim to their personal weaknesses. Perhaps a discussion about which conditions are harder for some signs than others with an eye to overcome those situations may be of more use. Nobody likes being painted with a broad brush. Especially those who may have been tested and passed. But so too with those that failed as it sets them up to continue the pattern. IP: Logged |

^^ *swoon* *headspin* . . . Oh wait. I'm married. Uhhh....cancel that. *serious look* Thank you for your insights, GB. As a non-flirting, non-straying Sag Venus, I appreciate your balanced approach to stereotypes about my sign, and about signs in general. It's true, we cannot judge a sign by its sign. Aim for higher ground, people. IP: Logged |
