i will say though that feeling like you're stuck doesn't mean you actually are and sometimes what we fail to do on our own the universe will take care of and fate will bring about anyway

i had many signs that relationship would end and eventually fate lined up in a way where it did, and so i learned about the nature of that as well

how even our attempts to avoid things that are meant to be can ultimately set the stage for them

EXACTLY! Look on Wikipedia for the term ‘tautochrone curve’- it’s a perfect illustration for why you sometimes feel ‘stuck’ in life, and sometimes things just pick up speed on their own. I was talking about resistance to change a while back, and thought about bodysurfing as a metaphor for life: You have to know when to jump to catch the wave, and you have to stand firm against the pull for a certain time if you want to ride it anywhere. (And, of course, know when to duck under the big ones😉 Not stuck at all, thanks... I kicked him out a month ago, but we have kids together, so... Honestly, I’m grateful there’s a reason to deal with the issues instead of just cutting him off. I realized just the other day that the one thing I was still resentful about was the fact that I’m still in the position of having to be the grown-up all the time. But honestly, I don’t know how else I would have learned that if I wasn’t having to ‘help’ someone with so many of the exact same flaws, but magnified.

I have done it but only when I felt stuck. (Abusive relationship, etc)

While I'm sure other social forces are also at work, for me the question implies women would not do that and that's so naive as to beggar belief. If someone asked me in real life I'd want to have a long talk about how life really is beyond the fairy tales drilled into us (the kind that cause a lot of damage and inspire many terrible decisions that they--men and women both--may regret for the rest of their lives, and done to control us rather than protect us). The main reason I don't really reply to the original question is I'm not sure where to start and it would be too long a post even by MY standards.

Yes, I understand.
Where I'm coming from is that I think some here could be kinder about it. I was even mocked for my statement.
I got the impression that the person asking really didn't know and was asking about something that they were told. Or it was their experience. We all tend to view the world from our little box and this person is branching out, seeking truth. They shouldn't be treated like garbage for it. There's some innocence in that question as well, not ONLY implications.
I knew a woman from The Republic of Congo. She was told that ALL white people in America are racist and that ALL American men demanded sodomy or they wouldn't have a relationship. She genuinely believed it. She didn't know.
Perhaps I'm wrong but people seem to automatically get worked up about things instead of seeing other perspectives.
Just my opinion.

And you have been told several times in this thread alone that both genders are capable of doing it and it is not an action that is gender specific, at all. What do you mean "thats what guys do"? Girls and guys do it.

I think many men can. It is like a sport to many men and some women. Check the moon to see. I think the Cancer Moon could not imo
