Again, I think it's just important to survive. If you're dirt broke, then of course, use the skills that you have.

My apprehension does come from a deep ethics base.
I do not feel right profiting from the suffering of others, even rich folks in emotional need.
Sigh
So fool I am, will continue as I have with readings.
Lexigrams I would love to be paid for.
But I do not see folks willing to do that.
Oh well.
I guess I just have to try and finish my writing, which I cannot do by myself because
my one fingered typing just does not work out very fast for such big projects.
OK
enough of my whining.

What is your "gift" worth?
To a person needing and deserving of it,
it is priceless.

I think what Linda was referring to
(getting paid, donations, money in general)
was more along the lines of exploiting others for money.

No matter how much you give of yourself and of your time, you're still going to accrue expenses.
So yes you do charge, but I would give up everything above those expenses.
Remember, I'm superstitious

There will be instances when someone will be in need but unable to pay.
you'll know them instantly
you'll actually have very little weeding out to do because a lot of questions will be trifle.
"Does he love me?"
"Does he think about me when he's sleeping with her?"
"Will he divorce her and marry me?"

get my drift?

The more selfless you become, the more at peace with yourself you will be.

Love you Ami

For now ex helps, when he is not depressed or having seizures.
Also the books would clash with your religious beliefs. I would not want to ask you to type up such things.

I will admit that I agree with Linda in almost every respect (just a few minor disagreements from a lack of information that was unavailable to her in the time period when she was alive). But I don't expect others to. I am held to a higher standard. For example, people can come here and trash me with no one saying much about it (as they have in the past), yet if I went to their homes on the net and did the same thing, I would be crucified. It's not fair, but it comes with the turf. It is what it is. I accept it. I had the option of having Lindaland offer high-quality, reasonably-priced astrological reports, but I declined. It doesn't matter what I perrsonally believe. Maybe I think it's okay for astrologers to sell their wares and charge for their trade. My personal opinion doesn't matter. But since it is a Linda site, and since Linda felt that would be wrong, I must honor her wishes. IMHO, to do otherwise would be to disgrace her name (in my mind anyway). I have to stay true to myself and to my vision. But what others do or don't do is their business. Like I said, I am held to a higher standard. And not just by others. I hold myself to a standard that I feel honors Linda. And I have made mistakes in the process and have made unpopular decisions--but I always always always take my responsibility and my vision seriously and try with all my might to do what is right and what I genuinely feel Linda would want...or at least what she would not have a serious problem with. I do the best I can. I pour out every drop of my Soul into it. So, even though I personally agree with much of what Linda said, it up to each of you to decide for yourself. But it is my responsibility to stay true to my vision and to keep the "Linda" in Lindaland.

LEXX, I knew you were having an internal dilemma over it. That's why you reacted strongly and why you (who is usually so meticulously careful in her quoting) had interpretation gaps. But it wasn't my place to call you on it; nor did I desire to. I'm just shocked you saw that conflict within yourself so quickly. What is right or wrong isn't what counts--sometimes it's the way we feel about something that makes it right or wrong--for us. If you feel bad about charging, then...for you...it would be. Get your books finished. Your poverty days will then be over. I would buy every one of them.

I think it's pretty cool that you defend Linda-Goodman, Randall. She must have really touched your life.

I would like to have met her. I bet she was a fun, and intense, person to know.

Linda saved my life. I'd seriously be god-knows-where (if not dead) if I had not read Star Signs that fateful day. I had received a bunch of books free in a book club, and I almost gave it away thinking it was just another astrology book. A friend of mine suggested that I keep it, because "there might be something good in it." >>>>>>UNDERSTATEMENT OF THE YEAR AWARD* And then came Gooberz. But there's no hero worship there. I know Linda had many faults, and she shared them with us in her semi-auto-biographical book. But her writing changes lives. I created this site to closely mirror those writings in order to honor her, to keep her Spirit and books alive, and to have a place where people who love her can connect...and also a place where new people can be introduced to her. But yeah, she means a lot to me. <<<<<<ANOTHER UNDERSTATEMENT*

You allow everyone to have a voice. You encourage everyone to be the best they can be.
I am moving on to this next phase of my life because of you and people like Lalalinda and others I love on LL.
I could never have gotten to this point of HAVING the dilemma about my "gifts" and where to put them without LL.
I am grateful and fortunate to have this next step to take

Everything ,truly,is a lesson or a blessing.
For the people who don't like me, that teaches me the many life lessons I did not learn when I was numb.
Life is not all beauty. One is a fool and an idiot to think that.
*I* was a fool and an idiot.
I don't want to be any more.
Those lessons one must learn,too.
The Bible says to be as wise as serpents, gentle as doves.
The wise as serpents part is what hurts.
I want life to be Neptunian but it isn't.
That is what I must swallow as I go to this next step.
One must be strong. That is Plutonian and how it is.
Plutonian is pure strength.
One needs it as long as one is in the 3D world.
That is just how it is.
Pluto takes one for a ride in this world until one departs in to the next.
Talk softly but carry a big stick

You will get autographed copies.
Tired too, and hurting, on antispasmodic meds too, so a wee bit dingy and so still not at my best.
Hey let me know privately about the "gaps".
I really would like to know.

I wrote this thread cuz I wanted to get guidance on my next step, both emotional and practical help.
I realize a BIG factor in stopping me cold with doing this website was the revenge that two people exacted on me.
I was frozen, literally.
Here,I give free readings.I let people e mail me as many times as they want. I do readings on msn and FB,all out of the goodness of my heart and for the good of others and I get revenge back on me.
It was only 2 out of many people.
I really was disheartened.

The worse thing,MUCH worse than the virus on my computer, was someone who was besmirching my character to people whom I love.
That hurt me so badly that I cried.
I was afraid to go on.
However, I have nothing to hide. I have flaws and good points.
If I admit my flaws,no one can really hurt me.
This was a hard lesson.
It was the next lesson, for me.
I am grateful for it as I am for all of my lessons.
If I did not put myself out there through doing the readings,I would not have learned these lessons.
There are WONDERFUL people in the world too, lovers.
I have many ,many ,many of those.
I am gonna concentrate on that.

Whats the quote you put about better to be yourself and hated than to be someone else and loved? It sure did take me a long time to get that way with wanting to please everyone and afraid of people not liking me, now I don't care Point being, the more true you are to YOU the more sense of self you get. In bullsh*tting others you essentially bullsh*t yourself, if that makes any sense, it's a bit 420 here

I am gonna call web designers ,tomorrow.
I know what I want to do on several things ,now.
The first reading will be free. The sessions will be as long as needed.
Additional readings will be by donation.

If I know I can block people from the website ,I will be able to deal with the haters and I will be ready to move forward.
