For anyone who is keeping up with my thread,I feel depressed .
I signed the contract and then my BFF told me that the guy prolly does not know what he is doing with Search Engines.
My friend is gonna talk to the guy cuz my friends wife went through a similar thing.

The larger point is my feelings of being a failure in LIFE are getting highlighted.

I knew as I stepped out in to the world, more,I would start to learn more lessons.
.

Today, half of the time,I felt like I was the genuine me I asked questions when I did not know.
The other half I was frozen cuz I did not know what he was talking about and was afraid he would not like me and think I was an idiot

Ami, the guy who runs our office network is an absolute genius, something like a Renaissance man. One of the things he does is creating websites for people in our industry. He knows everything about everything about search engine optimization. I could put you in touch with him.

However, let me just say this: If you want a site in order to compete with every other psychic out there, then you need to keep it updated, and worry about key words and tags, etc. But is that what you really want? I kind of got a different sense from you, based on what you've posted so far. You want to be out there providing a service you enjoy but I don't think the money is your main thing and I don't think you're interested in being competitive yet, right? So is search engine optimization even a real concern for you now?

And don't you think that with the first few readings you might generate enough happiness that you'll end up doing well enough just by word of mouth?

My two cents at this late hour being very sleep deprived_ that's my caveat

CP, can you have him briefly look at LL to see what the Banner images are doing, and then see what he would charge to ty to fix it?

Today,I could not stop crying. My computer shut down. I started crying.
My guitar wouldn't tune,same thing.

This next venture is my first step in to the real world since before I had children.
I know that there will be many, many lessons ,most of which will hurt badly

Randall, not sure if he'll do the banner thing but if you e-mail me on FB I can give you his cell number. I am assuming he will have to gain access to the site and you'll have to tell him how.

Ami, I don't want to be an Aquarius rising and ask why you're scared b/c I know it'll all be fine.... don't want to discount your feelings... but... now that I have a child, I wonder, what could be more real world than raising those little critters? And what could be harder? My son, the Aquarius with the Gemini rising and the Leo moon, throws me for a loop at least twice a day in some respect!!

You know, the web designers are just people, just like you and me. They're doing this to make a living in this crazy world. They need the money. THEY need YOU. So they're not going to judge you for not understanding technical terms or whatnot. They have to keep YOU happy. Am I right or am I right?

You are a good Aqua, Crabby lol

It is not the web guy I am afraid of but the venturing in to the world. Raising kids is the hardest job,for sure. However,as you know, any kind of business is the opening for all sorts of lessons about life, human nature and yourself. That is what I was talking about

I signed the contract on Mercury Retro.I hope I did not sign it at the wrong time The guy sent me a sample page I did not like at all.
It looked cheap
I tried to get across to him that I do not see myself as someone at the flea market

can you revoke the contract now?

and if you have a scanner, Ami, maybe you can e-mail me his sample page as a scanned attachment__ so I can comment and show you the kind I have created by way of comparison so you have something to show the next person you choose to do your site?

Dear Crabby
You are the dearest friend. I want to avail myself of your expertise in a judicious manner . I do NOT want to take advantage of your generousity in any way.
This is what I would like to go.I would like to come to you at junctures when I feel *I* need outside expert help.
As of now, I am handling it,albeit, bumbling

Gotcha, Ami, but you wouldn't be taking advantage. I am very bored and burned out in my career, so I currently look for any excuse to do something to take my mind off of it. Anything creative. That's why I offered.

Either way, I am looking forward to seeing your finished product. I'm such a geek this kind of stuff is exciting to me.

RIAFC--it will be about 2500.I paid 2/3 down which was not smart, maybe, but the guy seems real and honest. He has been in business for 10 years and has done the websites for all sorts of businesses in my area.

I started using my own head .I figured I would just try to be myself and see what happened

After he made me what *I* thought was a tacky website sample ,I asked him if *I* could look at all the available pictures ,colors and layouts and come to him with what I liked to see what he thought.
I am doing that now .It is really fun to look at the various options of abstract designs,in particular cuz I love color lol

I have a general question for you.Which would you respond to more-- a website with realistic bl/white photo's of people's faces OR beach scenes and tranquil images?

Crabby told me to nix the pictures so I am off to find tranquil scenes.
Nicki gave me some great advice ,too.
I feel very loved by this community.
Thank you

Now, I can narrow it down to tranquil scenes.
I assume I should use tranquil colors as the background ,too,so that narrows that down
