I think I do want to screen,though,in some way,not for fear of non payment but to avoid what I went through.
I could do an introductory reading where they get to know me and vice versa.At this point,I would not go further if I had a bad feeling.
I will give a reading,then,also.
After this reading ,there will be a charge for additional ones.
In my 100 free readings,most people came back . We developed a relationship. I am expecting this will happen with the paid ones.
I don't know if it will when they are paid.
I think if I help,people will come back in a counseling type of way.
I am a counselor,(Masters degree)if you have not read that post,RIAFC.
However,that gives me a skill set and theory base,only.
It does help a great deal but it is not what I am offering.
I offer my psychic abilities.I am trying to figure out the amount.I am thinking 25- 40 for a half hour to an hour. I think I should get testimonials from people,RIAFC.
That is a good idea.

I think I answered my own question on the amount to charge.
I will be up front and say this is my first professional venture with readings.
I am charging a small fee as I am just starting out.
I think it will be 25-30 dollars for a set time.
I can feel things from e mails,too. An e mail reading would be less.
A real time reading for a set time would be 25-30 dollars.
I will add the phone ,later,I think.
My 100 readings were done in text,mainly.
I will start with text.

I am happy that you are able to understand me better Pire. Yes, Knowledge has to be given free [after ensuring the recipient will not hurt herself or himself with this knowledge]. You have rightly pointed out that professionals have more burden. This also serves to make us strain very hard and give the very best. A Hobbyist has nothing to lose if he makes a mistake in astrological interpretations. About those who do not pay, I refer to those who after promising to pay and making us lose other time of normal work, then refuse to pay or correspond after getting what they want. It is tempting to blow the top for this but out of respect for Universal Knowledge, we must desist. <<

When something is charged, at least some thought is given to the information, some pondering is done. And hence some positive change will occur in the recipient.
Take a simple example, I have been giving dozens of people free information to buy Silver since 2004. How many listened? Had I charged 1000 dollars per seminar as a financial consultant and told the same thing, they would have bought 100000 bucks of Silver and multiplied their money six fold and hailed me as some kind of financial super genius. I recall the case of a great musician who played for free in New York, hardly anyone notice and savored the music. The same folk would not hesitate to shell out hundreds of dollars for a ticket to his show. In the highest level, Virtue itself is its own reward but only Aristocrats have the luxury of always giving their time for free.

I learned this lesson by observing others as well as from my own life. I was not able to do justice to all requests because of offering free readings in depth, yet I could make a difference by giving the most important info summary free in 5 minutes to all who asked, and if they felt they needed more, I could take time off from usual work and charge appropriately.I also learned that I was getting more results from material for which I had paid. That is when it struck me about John Baine's wisdom. His book "Stellar Man" is one of the greatest books on occult wisdom ever written.
But it is not everyone's cup of tea. The third reason is that if I do not charge, and people go to someone else that does charge but instead foists a computer generated report on them for 100 bucks, then
I feel partially responsible for them not getting the right information. A computer report will never be able to interpret the danger of Natal Uranus squaring Mars in 4 Cancer during a Saturn Return of the client. ------------------

I am not gonna offer free readings for screening. I realized that I will be able to screen from the first dealing with the person.
If I even hear the person's name or reference to the person from another ,I can feel if I should work with them.
That happened ,yesterday,when someone recommended to send someone to me.
I got a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach and I said "no".
I appreciated the offer but I will not violate my gut,again.
I am sure I will not be perfect with this but I will try . My fees will be very reasonable and accessible to most .If there are people I should offer free readings to,my heart will tell me.
I am gonna trust my heart and my gut.

I never charge money upfront these days. A while back I did charge 10% upfront just to check if the client is genuinely interested, but now I realized that if the money is meant for me, it has to come after the service only. IP: Logged |
