I've posted many songs on here, that reflect the kind of music I like.

There are many genres and sub-genres that I find interesting - rock, metal, ambient, electronic, house.

I'm not a fan of rap & r'n'b or pop music, though.

Here's an atmospheric song by the XX:

Fantasy http://youtu.be/MLawtUWzkdI

I absolutely love bass, drums, guitars.

Industrial, experimental, underground music fascinates me.

If we're talking about more upbeat music, I really enjoy Kings of Leon.

I can actually read and understand the written parts in the movie you posted, Brontex!
Really cool.

And wow, stuff just got serious right there, you know how to please someone, don't you?

Lovely music.
I knew about m83 (was listening to it today actually) & Empire of the Sun. Great.

The other two sound interesting, too.

Thank you for sharing!

I discovered that song a few days ago and for some reason I like it:
Casino Times - That's The Truth http://youtu.be/m7-wM0pSJ3M

Ps. It's hot here. Sunny days ahead.

Yeah. Not my usual kind of thing. But I could actually see that growing on me. I'm going to check out some more of their stuff tonight.

It's normally like 105 F+ here this time of year. You can keep your sunny days---I'll enjoy the rain whenever I can get it.

Gee. I'd enjoy the rainy days, too.

Here it's around 85°F, I think (we use Celsius degrees though - 29°C).

Where's MsPrism?

Yeah, it can get pretty ridiculous here. So far it's been a pretty mild summer though.

Dunno. Haven't see her around in a few days.

Please don't apologize---that one was entirely my fault.

I don't tend to talk with Scorpios much.
Guess you can probably see why...

Yeah, I saw them live a couple of times. Used to be pretty into them back in the OK Computer/Kid A days.

That video is cool. Reminds me of a cross between the old Brothers Quay-esque Tool videos ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hglVqACd1C8 ) and the one for Peter Gabriel's Sledgehammer ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g93mz_eZ5N4 ).

Lucky you!

I don't listen to them much now, though.

Tool - that one's with Maynard!
I love that guy, but for some reason I don't like Tool that much.
A Perfect Circle & Puscifer are more my kind of thing.

Breña http://youtu.be/uX39uHKAZHo

It tends to get heavy sometimes.

So I always switch songs from heavy to light, that way I don't get stuck in an "emotional rut" so to speak.

More like I have a knack for unintentionally offending them.

I do that too. I also tend to stick with stuff that's instrumental or in a language I can't understand---I have a bad habit of accidentally typing the lyrics of songs while I'm doing really boring work.
------------------------------------

That Tycho track is nice. Makes me kind of want to listen to some Boards of Canada. Do you know them?

Hahaha.

Well, we're quite sensitive folks, so you Airy people can definitely rub us the wrong way, sometimes.

But in your specific case, I think it's because your Moon is in Aquarius - natural square to Scorpio.

quote:

That's cool!
Or.. awkward, hah.

Yes, I know Boards Of Canada.

I also like Explosions In The Sky, Jon Hopkins, Ulrich Schnauss.
That kind of thing!

Bonobo is one of my favorite artists, went to see him (or.. *them*, they are several people performing) in June.

+2 for you

Tee hee, thanks.

Mogwai is pretty good.
A bit too calm for me, but still good.

Checked Squarepusher, now that sounds interesting!

Do you know Trifonic? I like it a lot.
It's really ambient.

Calm one:

Transgenic http://youtu.be/gmHiR3nTbfk

This one's more dynamic, and the video is quite original:

Parks on Fire http://youtu.be/P4R1nl_UbSk

The "Emergence" album is really good.

Can't say I know them. It's nice but I'm more a down-tempo than ambient kind of guy. I think it may be an EU/US thing though. Or maybe I'm just particular about my electronic music. Who knows...
-----------------------------------

Ever wonder where Air got their inspiration for the Virgin Suicides soundtrack/score?

I'm pretty sure it was this:

I think it's a generation gap thing.

And we're all particular about the music we like, it's only normal.

Definitely sounds like there's some similarity, especially with "Privacy".

I don't wanna share music with you now.

You're back.

I love Mezzanine.
Very sensual.

The other songs you posted are nice, though not really my thing.

Sven & AE will like them more!

And yes, you can dance with me anytime (even though I'm not good at it).
