Vote for the dumbest political quotes

Joe Biden and Paul Ryan slip, plus Donald Trump on Iran.

Each week, the Daily Caller picks the dumbest political statements and ranks them (just for Yahoo! readers) on a scale of 1 to 5 (5 being the worst). Who do you think said the dumbest thing? Vote in our poll below!

A taste of the dumb quotes:

Poor Joe Biden. The vice president doesn’t seem to realize that when he speaks, he has to make some semblance of sense.

Biden made two big uh-ohs Wednesday during a campaign stop in Virginia, which is not the same thing as North Carolina.

“With you, we can win North Carolina again!” Biden told the Virginia crowd.

In the same speech, Biden angered conservative pundits when he told the largely African-American audience that Mitt Romney would “put y’all back in chains.”

At least Biden will get a good rest this weekend. His official schedule has been wiped clean in order for him to take a long weekend at his home in Delaware.

It looks like somebody got a timeout

as always, Old Joe gets my vote

i like the way you include the options

When Republican vice presidential candidate Rep. Paul Ryan – whose platform is built around opposing and cutting government spending -- told an ABC affiliate in Ohio that he never requested federal stimulus funds, what he meant was that he did, actually, request stimulus funds.

“I never asked for stimulus,” Ryan said Wednesday. “I don’t recall…so I really can’t comment on it. I opposed the stimulus because it doesn’t work, it didn’t work.”

However, uncovered letters show that Ryan asked for millions of stimulus dollars for two energy projects in his Wisconsin congressional district in 2009.

and then apparently ryan is also blaming obama for the shutdown of GM plant in 08?
http://www.detroitnews.com/article/20120816/AUTO0103/208160480

and he knows better. this plant is in his hometown and he secured govt funds to help keep it going...but at 41 his memory seems burnt already, he thinks obama let them down...plant folding timeline goes from 6/08 - when bush applauded their business sense in "trimming fat" - and 12/08, when it finally shut down for good.

I don't see anything dumb about Trump's quote. The author is an idiot. Celebrity Apprentice is a fairly popular show. And Trump doesn't wear a toupee. See below:

Have no fear: Donald Trump is always here to fill out the list of the week’s dumbest political quotes. Rarely does one need to look further than his Twitter feed to find a gem or two. (Or three.)

This time, the millionaire mogul took to social media to ask his readers one simple question.

In between tweeting congratulations to Jennifer Aniston on her engagement and bragging about his all-time attendance record at World Wrestling Entertainment events, Trump tweeted: “What's more dangerous for the country--the Iranian nuclear threat or @BarackObama as President?”

What Trump omitted from his rhetorical question, however, was whether “Celebrity Apprentice” or his atrocious toupee is more dangerous for the country.

I'm speaking strictly of the quote in the article. I see nothing at all dumb about it.

“What's more dangerous for the country--the Iranian nuclear threat or @BarackObama as President?”

Really AA??

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad represents the Iranian Nuculear threat.

Ahmadinejad has called Israel's existence an "insult to all humanity", in one of his sharpest attacks yet on the Jewish state . As Israel openly debates whether to attack Iran ...

AFP via Yahoo! News - Aug 17 12:23pm
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told an annual anti-Israel protest in Tehran on Friday that the Jewish state was a "cancerous tumour" that will soon be excised

Ahmadinejad Calls for Annihilation

of Israel

Perhaps you are right tho,it is just stoopid to worry about that crazy Iranian threat to the free world.

Trump just asked a question. If you delve into it and dissect it, it is actually quite brilliant.

Curious Randall , how so?

He`s comparing the craziest man (with nukes at his disposa) in politics with an inept, butt kissing president. Obama isn`t my idea of an effectual leader but .....

Iran isn't a threat to the US directly, but Obama is the most dangerous president we have ever had. Everyone is focusing on Iran and ignoring our own nut job of a leader. Israel is more than capable of taking out that madman with one airstrike.

I disagree "everyone" as a blanket statement is ignoring Obama.

The obvious fallout of an Israel/Iran blow up IS a direct threat to the U.S.. And the stability of every country on the globe.

see it if you want to know who is against obama, perhaps. this is not fact but propaganda.

you really should read david icke, ami, if you want to enjoy a GOOD scare. he makes a solid case for his theories, and quotes miles of sources! and he has goods on obama too.

or the open letter i posted from "obama" about WHO HE REALLY IS and what comes next!

i checked him out for myself...his premises are AT LEAST as solid as most of jwhop's sources.

but you misunderstand my intent. humour can be so hard to convey, especially the drier sort.

i editted my post while you were jumping on it...

I would have to give the crown to Joe "Plugs" O'Biden.

O'Biden could be and should be described as Dumb, Dumber and Dumbest.

The congress of the United States is authorized by Article II of the Constitution...says the 30+ year Senator from Delaware. Wrong...it's Article I.

The Vice President's only duty in the US Senate is to break ties. Wrong, The VP is the President, presiding officer of the US Senate.

Stand up and let everyone get a look at you...says Joe "Plugs" to a disabled man in a wheel chair.

The sheer volume of Dumb coming out of Joe "Plugs" is astounding...and it continues!

LMFAO, more ostrich behaviour. i find it hard to believe that you have read more than a couple of sentences of icke, yet you put him down as if he were the devil himself.

i don't care if you read him or not. but, typically, you diss things you have no clue about.

as to clowns, the world could do with more of them. my first sweetheart (age 6) was the son of a clown and a fortune teller for ringling bros and now teaches clown school himself.

apparently the circus is full of people considered above average intelligence by the intelligence bureaus in this and other countries; they are full of agents known as performers!

clowns also display immense courage on the rodeo circuit where they volunteer as decoys to keep bull-riders from being gored and stomped to death when they fall to the ground.

and MOST of them use a lot of lipstick.

so enough of being so UNCIVIL about clowns.

I love the special clowns that preform in the Children`s Hospital.

They are gentle, funny and the kids just love them. Especially the ones with the big red lipsticked mouths and goofy hair.
