And no, I am not her best friend, but if your 14 year old were about to give birth to a Down Syndrome baby, would you not even consider raising it as your own, to give the baby a better chance, and your daughter also? And who are you to judge that decision?

As I said, there are plenty of other instances where Palin has been less than honest. This, however, is third hand speculation and involves an innocent child and likely innocent young woman. To me it is not something that you can say with certainty one way or another so accusing her of endangering her child, well, its OTT.

That's not what we are talking about. We're talking about being governor of a state and lying on a massive scale about events surrounding a birth.

And you are the one saying we can't know anything for sure, so why assume it was Bristol's baby anyway? Do you think it gives you that much leverage in your Palin defense, that you will compromise your own standards for which points of speculation are even worth examining?

I hope that stylistic differences can be overcome if conversation is the desired result, end of story. I suspect e e cummings knew where the caps key was too.

When I looked at your story on the computer the bits that were too blurry on my phone didn't come up at all. I am NOT going to read her book so as you pointed out I don't have enough facts to make a solid accusation. I have only gut feeling that a) her age makes her the more likely mother and b) her hubris makes her likely to paint herself as indomitable.

That she is a bad liar will trip her up eventually.

So I'm saying she's a big time liar. I can say that fair and square. It has nothing to do with the Obama birth certificate. Obama didn't write an autobiography replete with indications that he was mentally unbalanced in a huge way.

You can just toss this whole scandal in your trash pile and ignore it, but to me it's actually a valuable discussion topic. For one thing, it tells me which people are willing to look at unusual issues before getting on their high horse and ridiculing them. It tells me whether or not anyone takes my own opinion seriously yet (apparently not!)
