Drinking water or being near water? I live by the pier in Brooklyn, when it gets warm me and my son go fishing or crabbing. The smell and sight of water is very healing for me You may have meant drinking water though IP: Logged |

Both. Being around water, in water, and drinking water. That is one of the most soothing and protective feelings for me. IP: Logged |

Have you ever read any books by Masaru Emoto? He does many experiments on the healing powers of water. You may find them useful IP: Logged |

I find music soothing when I'm down in the dumps. I would usually listen to the most depressive songs, to fully allow myself to feel the sadness, I need to wallow in it for a bit. Then I move on to happier, more upbeat tunes to push me outta the fog.------------------ “If malice or envy were tangible and had a shape, it would be the shape of a boomerang.” — Charley Reese IP: Logged |

I like this quote: quote: The thought of suicide is a powerful solace: by means of it one gets through many a bad night. ~Friedrich Nietzsche
Much like the allowing yourself to fully feel the sadness as you said; and wallow or immerse yourself in it. It is weird but when I get very down, I think of ways to "take that walk out" and like Nietzsche, I can then move on and at least "for that time", not give up, because just knowing I can choose to end it all, makes me feel more in control when I am unable to change at times, if ever, a bad situation. If things were to get worse, I would not want to hang around being a burden to anyone, including myself. I hope that made sense.------------------ ~The present time is theirs, but the future is mine.~Nikola Tesla ~There is no box.~H♥ ~Balance is not letting anyone love you less than you love yourself.~Felipe ~I remember, therefore I am immortal~LEXX }><}}}(*>~ IP: Logged |

I always thought that was just me! I never understood why when I was sad I wanted to make it worse, but I guess that's all it is. Just get all the crying out and let yourself feel the hurt/pain. Then, decide you're done and turn on better music. Found this interesting At the end of the sessions researchers collected the "happy tears" and the sad tears" with eye droppers. They found that "happy tears" are made up of brine... salt water and not a great deal else However the "sad tears" were found to contain the very same chemicals and enzymes that are found in tumors, ulcers and other such lumps and bumps and sicknesses through out the body. This test concluded that the body, when crying in sadness etc is literally flushing out all of the toxic-chemicals that accumulate and are a part of the sadness /heartache experience. Therefore if one holds back those tears, those toxic-waters will find somewhere else to deposit themselves.. . and prolonged lack-of-crying- release will guarantee that the body will accumulate a huge amount of internal pollution and toxicity that should have been released through the tears....... is it any wonder that the eyes sting so much when we hold back our tears? So maybe that's why men die earlier, huh? Women cries while men stick to their pride. LESSON FROM THE STUDY: CRY YOUR HEART OUT WHEN YOU ARE SAD, LONELY, ALONE, DEPRESSED, ETC..... IT IS GOOD FOR YOUR HEALTH! http://www.jbsolis.com/2008/10/some-facts-crying-is-healthy.html Perty interesting. IP: Logged |

I welcome tears. They are a gift. If you have ever been in SUCH a sad place that you cannot cry, you know what I mean. I did, but it's in personal readings- I shoulda put it in astro 2 I s'pose. Just hate bombarding people with charts lol. I was supposed to clean, instead I went through all 8 pages of sweet peas haha. Had a sandwich, had a smoke. And now reply I am getting up soon as I hit enter, I can't come back to look for a reply or I wont go. Lol. You seem in better spirits today LEXX- I sure hope that is the case and I am not mistaken.
