It seems that way with race, too, at least when it's toward sex. I've noticed that those attracted to black men keep envisioning them as especially strong and forceful whereas both gay & straight men attracted to those of Asian descent imagine them as submissive and accommodating which clicks with their sexual desires and fantasies. This isn't meant to include other factors that might draw someone to a certain race.

I have a very mild form of it...I'm into glasses. I believe it's because it makes the person seem more interesting (older, educated, etc), though it's not a true fetish as the attraction usually isn't erotic, nor do I have any need for glasses to be worn during sex, etc.
