A recent conversation got me to do a search for an old screen name of mine (I never used it on LL). I found 2 people who I had a lot of respect for (though we argued all the time, but in a very intellectual and philosophical way) mentioned me as one of the people that made interacting with people online worth it. That actually gave me the warm fuzzies to see them both speak of me in such a way years after we stopped interacting online.

It's also nice to be reminded that I could argue as much as I did with them and we could still be fond of each other and respect and value each other's perspective despite our disagreements. (They were both Scorpio suns, btw, but I don't recall their other placements.) That seems much less likely to happen these days.

Hmm, that reminds me of a guy I used to debate politics with all the time online. We were passionate about that, but I don't recall either of us insulting the other or being mean over it, and we had other interests we were both passionate in to bond us together. When his computer was stolen I donated $60 so he could get a new one. He died eventually, and his birthday wasn't that long ago (he died years ago). (Too bad he didn't live to see my political leanings become more moderate and closer to what he believed.)

I'm finding it nice to remember people like that.

I was at the pharmacy picking up my prescriptions the other day. I put my chipped debit card in the reader to pay, and the internet must have been experiencing some kind of glitch.

The person behind me (this gorgeous super hot-looking attorney a very late-degree Pisces) pulled out a 20, and paid the 5.90 in cash. I said I did have the cash, but he insisted and said it was his treat! ....

Wayyyyyyy

I've never insulted someone over politics, until someone crossed the line here. I tried talking politics elsewhere, and Liberals were constantly being insulted there, too. People who said anything against trump, were moderated or banned, depending on what was (politely) said, and on-topic. It's moderated by people who are trump supporters, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

As annoyed as one or two people get me, in the political forum, I'm glad that we can express ourselves, and not be banned for posting a view that opposes that of the site owner.

I thought of making a thread but really I just want to make a comment.

I'm so close to a progressed Capricorn moon! I think that I'm feeling its effects and it feels soooo good!!

Power went out this morning. I was happy to have shows downloaded to my tablet, a working cell phone, soup in the fridge, a gas stove, and access to water for tea. Will finally get a shower, now that the power is back on.
