Feeling incredibly blessed and thankful.

Thought I'd add in more light and warmth to this lovely thread.

This might sound corny, but over the past semester I really feel like I've found my calling (or at least part of it). I've never been so sure about my life path than I am with teaching. It's like everything is clicking into place, and I look forward to learning more and more about my field and coming up with ways that I can take what I've learned and help my students in the future.

What I love most about my classes is that they actually focus on and teach us about social issues and how to teach students from various backgrounds which is something that heavily interests me since I've always planned to teach abroad and also, come back to the states and teach in "urban" schools that are often deemed difficult and unfortunately left to be ran into shambles.

I feel like this whole post is just rambling, but I finally feel like I'm in the right place right now.

*Also on week 7 of working out 6 days a week and I'm down 8 pounds ! This year it finally clicked and I've been working out and eating healthy consistently without any stops or complaints. I also gained some nice muscle definition in my arms too , looking forward to wearing tank tops without feeling like I need a sweater or jacket this summer!

AWESOME! Honestly I loved reading this because I found a passion for teaching the last two years and it is great to see that you are really focusing on important issue within the school system. We need more teachers who really care about the profession like the way you do. Students never forget the teachers who really put the time and care into developing them as an educated and professional adult.

In fact, I am so excited like you, I will be applying to lecturing positions in the near future.

Really? LOL! What was it like? How were the other students? I always envision it to be really intimidating with a dozen know-it-alls here and there.

Yes, I was figuring that, Randall. Didn't Gerry Spence have long hair?
