It's not a threat. It's a Rule. Actually, it's a modification of the Rules we already have in place. People need to know that if they open up here, they won't be subject to ridicule (or at least that it won't be tolerated). I love the idea. In the long run, this Forum will prosper because of it. Randall,I've seen the moderator deem benign comments "insults" several times since you first posted the notice about stricter policy a few days ago. Someone claimed to have psychic awareness about me-- it was wrong-- and when I said "you are not psychic," that was labeled an insult. How can anyone have confidence in this arrangement, with an eye to the specifics of the current situation? IP: Logged |

I make the decision to ban. Not the Mods. I think that comment would be okay. It depends on the context. But words like "fraud" would be a bannable offense.IP: Logged |

I told you, it wasn't directed at you and I never read your energy whatsoever. And I wouldn't even want to anyway!I am going to have to ban myself just because you act like a five year old with nothing better to do and I don't want to be around your constant whining. No of course not. I am against the new banning policy. But you should be more careful now. You cannot get away with calling someone a whiny five year-old with nothing better to do. Maybe you will just get a warning.

Usually on forums it seems to come down to blatant name-calling or directly attacking the person (or group) and not the argument. But something can be insulting without being a direct insult - which is just a grey area that I don't think can possibly be moderated.IP: Logged |

Athene, sorry for calling you a sheep. You attacked Faith and me and other people, it's not nice to attack people with your personal issues when they are protesting for something. You either join the protest, say nothing or join the anti-protest thread, Faith had opened one. You told me all I do with my life is discussing synastry and doing tarot sex spreads (it was just a thread though, huge success BTW, sex is nice). You can't attack people and expect no reaction. Plus, sometimes you speak like you believe you are the holder of universal truth. I hope you don't genuinely believe that. These "little insult" things are ridiculous! In my opinion, we should go back to Moderate Moderation. People can talk about what they want. Threads are closed when they draw blood. If we keep it this way, it will be one little insult war after another. That is MY opinion. I have no power to do anything but it is my opinion that I am putting out there.
