How does sleepwalking tie into all this? Is that something completely different?I used to sleepwalk as a child and it stopped around age 14. Now, as a young adult, I'll sometimes have the experience of jolting awake (as if startled by something but there was nothing to startle me), then I'll hop out of bed, feeling panicked and confused until I realize that it's like 3AM and it isn't time to get up yet.  I seen this in another thread, and I do have this placement in my chart: quote:

Cool question. Not off topic. I am mutable. I go off topics and don't even know it  Sleepwalking seems to be from stress and extreme stress, at that. ------------------

Not at all. It is totally natural. We, all, do it, all the time, but we are not aware of it. The difference with OBE's is the awareness.
The Orthodox Jews have a prayer they say each night before they go to bed that God will bring them safely back from their night travels. An Orthodox rabbi told me that because I was asking him about OBE's.

Sleepwalking is rarely due to OBEs, remote viewing, and so forth.
However if one has an OBE whilst sleepwalking;
it can become dangerous.
Fortunately sleepwalking us usually not OBE connected.

I was close. I felt my body vibrating and I got soo scared & I just backed out. I regret it now. That was around 2 or 3 months ago.I will try again tonight. IP: Logged |

Thank you,Ami Anne, for starting this thread. I usually go to bed early and wake up after midnight, I will try and get fully awake and then attempt to fall sleep. Sometimes I don't know where I am for a few seconds after I wake up in my own bed, is that a sign of a pre-OBE? Or even a mini-OBE? IP: Logged |

In my case founding out that something like OBE exists was enough  I've had a few spontaneous outings and I'm looking forward the next one.------------------

Wow yes! We DO go to another dimension I never completely astral projected but I damn near did (which is significant), I felt the dimensions and realities changing around me, I felt an intense rocking and my soul floating up, I even saw the color of my soul ( cant remember but it was so light) hopefully i will get more successful in the future :3 IP: Logged |

Hi Ami and all!I dont know if this is off topic, but today i took a nap and in my dream i heard a man's voice. it's very deep and i only heard it in my right ear. I also heard vibration of sounds. I could not make out what he was saying because it was so low-pitched. I know that many have said one would feel vibration before traveling, i'm not sure if this has anything to do with it? I shall keep you all updated! btw, do you know much about recurrent dreams, but each one connects and transforms. my friend has had many dreams like that where he saw a dark cloud in his room and each dream the dark cloud transformed into physical manifestation. Ever since then, he hasn't had any dreams about it. During his dreams, he couldn't move his body. This seems to run in his family too, his dad has a third eye and also experiences sleep paralysis. I've always had very real dreams since I was a child. Night terrors too; to the point I am defending myself in the dream with every action being very self aware to my own entity...
recently I had a dream that was to different I've posted on astral realms about it. I was traveling through the sky almost felt holographic like; but so real, and then I was jolted back into my body; but it was like a belt was around my waist pulling me back at high speed and I awoke.
What I am wondering is... now that I am aware of astral projections; & more educated on OBEs...while dreaming how can you tell the difference between an obe and it just being a dream.
I took another nap after waking this morning; lets say i indulged in a possible obe ; )
& I slipped into sleep very relaxed like thinking to myself my body will be pulled through my head. I went in with an intention of hoping to find insight on a certain situation. As I went in I was just in a house/ neighborhood and I was around consciously; the person I was inquiring about was there; a black truck I could feel & see him about to leave; (It was odd a friend was with him I've never seen with he same name as him) and I went to tell him to stay I remember I needed to tell him something else; more along the lines of staying close or meeting. It was very odd i was waiting for him to come back into the house but then my roommate came home and I woke up
I've been feeling a gnarly vibratory effect with this person as if our consciousness is projecting towards one another. So how do you know if it is an OBE or just another dream?...
Also I love your comment on speaking with a rabbi; once I had a dream interpretation from a rabbi that was pretty inspiring to me. IP: Logged |

P.S. I think I wanted to mention this in between recent posts on this topic. But the Bible is made of at least fourty to fifty percent of dreams. Kind of interesting the idea of prophetic dreaming. Now the interpretation comes from...

Can I find your tunes if I hit that link. I will. Thanks to you and some other sweet people, I feel better! A little warm TLC is needed by all of us. Well, I have not had the OBEs for several reasons. I have not disciplined myself to wake up in the middle of the night, get up and do something and then go back to bed a few hours later. That is the prime way to have them. Also, they have to be on your mind, too, I find. I have not had them on my mind. However, just talking about them with you will help do that for both of us. It programs the subconscious. I will check out your link, Friend and thanks again for your sweet post ------------------
