I didn't get into the emotions of the abuse in my thread, I think that's why I didn't trigger ppls emotions. It's very hard for ppl to understand how you could have come to a place of understanding but it is possible.
I went through a phase where I felt he was a positive energy in my life. I got over that, it was a bit much to give him all that credit!! Lol
Now, I know it was not him that helped me, it was me, the way I handled what he did is what helped me grow.

Eventually we must realize it's us who deserves the credit. They didn't do anything good EXCEPT give us an opportunity to pull out all of our strength and take a spiritual HUGE jump forward in order to heal.
Whatever phase or stage your at...it's ok! Healing is personal and no one can guilt or judge you for the stage your at. If they do it's there own insecurities surfacing!

I'm not struggling with anything any more.
The biggest struggle in that thread was others', and their attempts to control and manipulate my opinion of my experience into one that was more comfortable for them.

I cut all ties with him emotionally a long time ago, and I rebuilt understanding that felt right - ONCE I was in a safe place to do so, ie, he was once a child who was hurt.

These "strings" that you are talking about are not really strings. I decided to understand him as a person. We cannot say that someone is ONLY an abuser, and that EVERYTHING they done was abusive, and driven by sickness.
That is completely unrealistic IN MY EXPERIENCE.

So, sorry, but I have to disagree.
I'm sure others have different experiences, that is their's, this is mine.

There isn't anything tucked away.
I feel compassion for ALL victims.

If people still can't understand that, then it is beyond my capabilities to communicate.

I just noticed you said that your stepdad was murdered as he was on his way to kill you and your brothers.

I had just made contact with someone from my stepdad's family, with the intention of meeting him, to close the door for both of us. This would have been a very dangerous act (I did not care about this then), as with nothing more to lose, he may have hurt me.
He "died" 2 months later before I got the chance.

Yes, I done a lot of soul-searching and consolidation 2011-2014 on these issues, so that makes sense.

Yeah, t.PLUTO is 7 degrees away from my VENUS, and square the Libra stellium.

It concerns me, however, all I have noticed is a lot of growth.

Not all the growth has been painful, but perhaps as I have the VENUS sq. stellium natally, I am accustomed to the energies?

Not sure how t.URANUS on the DC sq. n.VENUS is playing out.
My relationships have been quite stable for a few years.
They have gotten progressively more creative though, and my last two relationships have been both musical and romantic.

It's just that I haven't slipped back for a long time now.

I used to worry all the time and second-guess myself, then I realised I was keeping myself trapped by not having faith in how far I'd come.

It is tempting to over-question, but also dangerous.

My self-belief was something that was taken, I must protect it now I have it back.

I reflect often, this appears to keep me right.

You are amazing too! Like I said before, you are one of TWO people I have met who have walked this path following abuse.
