All Moons have pros and cons, with no exception. I'm aware the Scorpio one can be tricky (I have my moon in the 8th house (Scorpio), and I know what you are talking about. But if you know what you are capable of doing it can be really nice to have this Moon placement.
Scorpio Moons have an automatic protect-mechanism, it saves them from a lot of trouble. I would say Scorpio and Capricorn are the signs who protect themselves the most. I bet you keep saying to yourself: "I knew it!".

See this is the thing - You will see us attracting a lot of women, but hardly be in a relationship, we are not players at all, we are just very picky, we choose VERY carefully. I had friends and family telling me: "How come you're single with so many women after you?". Unfortunately it's not that simple!
To be honest I'm tired of attracting people, and I'm sure most Libra Moons are too. People always think there is something going on, when there isn't. Example: I'm chasing a Scorpio Moon at the moment at my work place, and when women talk to me I know she IS watching me, and I know exactly what she is thinking, and that bothers me, so I try to be a bit cold and short with the women who approach me, and I hate doing that. U know what's funny is that last year the libra moon guy (during the time when everything was platonic in my eyes) was ignoring me cuz he was going through personal things, and for 3 months no response. I explained him that during this summer about my dark side and how I feel things intense, he was actually glad I share that with him. The honest conversation is where you get to feel something genuine. Do it step by step

Also, I often felt I was always sharing new ideas and activities we could do. He was always down. He has a shy side even if he doesn't show it often in the public. I can go to "hibernate" mode if I'm focus on personal things. For example I have a friend who noticed something strange about me recently, he texted me: "What happened to you? Haven't heard from you for a while!". I didn't even notice I was being distant! That's because of my Scorpio Moon girl, I'm so focus on her that everything else is secondary. When I dedicate to something I do it 100%, not 2%, not 60%, it has to be 100%! That's why I disconnect from other people/things temporarily, because I don't have any percentage left. This will eventually change. It only happens at the beginning of a process.

Once I dated a Scorpio Sun, she was like that, she always suggested activities. I'm not shy but I'm very reserved. I don't show it in public either, people think I'm very social, but I'm not. I definitely talk more than her! She prefers to communicate telepathically! She struggles communicating sometimes.

My advice: First of all, I've never been in a situation where I had feelings for a friend, specially since you were born 😮 so I'm not sure if my advice will be perfect or if it's what you are expecting.

- Always be sincere and genuine with him (I know you guys are, thats' why I love you).
- If something is bothering you, tell him, even if it's about him.

I don't understand why he's "away" for a month without saying anything, I would never do that. I hope he's ok!
If he's very busy then one month might just feel like one week to him. Regardless, I would reach out, or maybe he is waiting for you to reach out, if that's the case then an infinite loop will start, until he can't hold it anymore and reaches you out, since you will never do it.

Even when I'm detached I would check on you.
Another reason that I just remembered for the detachment could be a protection. When I start falling for someone really hard I'm terrified of being hurt, so if I don't see you showing me that you like me I "don't move", it's like I freeze until you melt me back.
Libras like balanced behaviours - I move one step, you move one step, I move two steps, you move two steps. If I move two steps but you only move one step, then I will go back to step one and stop, it's ridiculous I know! 🤯
