It is interesting that you equate dreams mainly with lower levels of consciousness, as do I. So many people regard them as always relating to higher levels.

My dreams are usually a muddled mess that fades away.

People die, mostly
1: from stupidity
2: from boredom.
They can also die from a broken heart and other causes, but the vast majority are 1 and 2 above.

The third largest cause of death is accidents. If you believe death is inevitable, you will open yourself up to many death possibilities.

Often they die because of other people's boredom or stupidity.

When one long-time spouse dies, the other often soon follows.

this happened to my great-uncle... within a year of my great-aunt passing - he was completely lost without her poor man

Sad. If you can will yourself to die, you can also will yourself to live. Terminal patients given weeks to live, often stay alive many months longer till Christmas or birth of a grandchild. If only they knew they could use that same will and live longer.

yes... interestingly i stated something very similar to someone who was trying to convince me that death is "natural" - if it's so natural why are so many of us hardwired with a survival instinct? why does the body fight so hard to stay alive?

although, i do believe that each of us has the right to choose...

As do animals, but all the time they were alive, they had a chance to save themselves and did not take it.

Many are not aware of any choices related to death.

People commit suicide. Why? Not because they feel that other people value them and want them around. People are very sensitive to that vibe that they have been around too long and they are taking up too much space.

There are also now active euthanasia programmes in force all over the West. People are being starved to death in hospitals and that is only the tip of the iceberg. Positive thinking is not enough. We now have to fight to stay alive.
