hi juniper ~ thank you. i'd like to thank you also for posting all the information about mary summer rain's phoenix...it helps me tune into the conversation here before actually reading her books.

i do hope to read these book soon, as my interest in these events and their meanings has been growing for awhile.

and i am reminded yet again, of similar words of linda's in Gooberz. they are in the form of the conversation between linda and heathcliffe, regarding the coming 'Earth cataclysms' as she puts it...i'll find them and post them later.

i did have a question for you, weaseldad....who are the 'guardians' of whom you speak? why are they withdrawing?

love, Saffron

s Welcome to all. The Guardians are the spirits that help keep things running smoothly. If a seal leaks on an airplane engine in flight, they would plug it or hold it until the plane landed. They do this for virtually everything that is mechanical and human made. Noeyes held the belief that they would stop helping us as the Phoenix days unfold. This will cause more accidents and mechanical failures daily. I don't want to be a doomsayer, but isn't there a rise in serious car accidents and public transportation accidents all over the world? Also, how about the incident in the Tokyo subway and the recent increase in terrorist activities everywhere? The Guardians are backing off their protection in preparation to taking a very long break. All of this is in the book, Phoenix Rising, by M.S.R. To my embarassment, I haven't read any of Linda's books. I will, as soon as I can. Isn't it interesting how this thread seems to connect Virginia, Colorado and Native Americans? I realize that we are scattered all over, yet drawn to this place of sharing. For now;

hi again

i just posted a topic in the health and healing forum about shamans.

it's just intriguing that the thought of shamans has occupied my thoughts so strongly the last few days, and then i found some time today to read and respond to this thread.

i've seen it many times, and even scrolled through it once or twice, but almost everything i found here today sounded new, like it was the first time i'd read it.

i'm looking for a shaman to help me with soul healing. perhaps this is part of my answer, to look deeper into the mary summer rain books.

also, weeseldad, i like the tony hillerman books tremendously. he's not a native american, but has spent much time with them in new mexico and arizona, i think. pbs has some very good films adapted from his novels.

and as juniper has stated, it is true that one doesn't have to be of native american descent to have the soul of one....but i have some cherokee lineage too.

one of the mary summer rain books i've found that i'd like to read is 'ancient echoes: the anasazi book of chants'. here are some of the songs from the book:

calling nature chant
ghost prayer
all tribes prayer
last journey chant
broken heart chant
sacred mesa song
warm wind dance chant
man time chant
woman time chant
sacred shield prayer
heart knowing chant
bread making song
open ear prayer
remembering way chant
medicine power prayer
sage hanging prayer
light calling dance chant
spirit journey prayer
give-away dance song
star power chant
big brother prayer
blanket dance song
moccasin making prayer
many suns prayer
child sleep song
rising smoke prayer
loving way prayer
snow moon song
bad heart prayer
twilight chant
new moon dance chant
full moon prayer

and there are more....

It is so exciting to see everyone sharing on this thread. As I was driving on my second job tonight, I was listening to a Neil Diamond cd that I made. One song just stood out and said "share me" so here is my gift:
CHILDSONG
Written by Neil Diamond

Weeping sky
We bring the sun
To make you glad
And fill you with the day.

Quiet tree
We have the wind
To make you dance
And fill you with our play.

And you shall be glad
And you shall dance
And you shall come
To hear our song
And learn its tune
Before it fades away.

1970 Prophet Music, Inc.
I think that there is nothing more to say today. I feel good now.

Thank you for sharing a lovely song indeed.
My song

Arise and Awake

Are your Children sleeping?

Fruit of my Gift

Take no more

Than you will give.

Give what you take!

All else matters not.

You will Awake.

s; Hello to all, I hope that you are well today. I must admit to being troubled lately. First, I have a very bad feeling about Mt. St.Helens. I would urge anyone who is in the immediate area or has friends or relatives there to leave soonest. I would say to give it least 25 miles. I have no information, just a really strong, negative feeling about it. Also, I heard that the Draft was voted down again. This issue seems to not go away and it will pass if it is presented enough times. As you may recall, the reemergence of the draft is going to be the first step of nationwide civil revolt; re. The Phoenix Files. As a rule, I don't pay a lot of attention to national news. I guess I will look a little closer from now on. Have any of y'all seen or heard anything that concerns or scares you lately?
On a lighter note, I am trying to do something to help someone each day. I want to try to live the spirit of a wonderful country song called "The Chain Of Love". I am doing my best to not let the chain end with me. If someone does you a favor, pass it on. It will make you glow inside and out. As always...

jb. Thanks for the gift of your blessing and the reminder of Who we can look to.
Sometimes, I think it would be nice to be a dog for a day. If it were one of our companions, it would be a real break. They are convinced that they are not dogs, just furry children that can't drive. Just that thought makes my day better. Bless you for giving my thoughts another path today.

Dear Weeseldad ~

i need some of your insight and compassion. you have spoken of our world becoming more dangerous, especially when driving (speaking of driving....). well, i experience that every day. i try to be a kind and courteous driver in all respects. i even stopped to help a lady on the side of the highway who had a flat tire recently. i let people go in front of me if they're trying to enter a long line of traffic....etc.

but my daily experience is that of people being deliberately antagonistic and unkind driving. and it's dangerous....people constantly pull out in front of me so that i have to slam on the brakes....and look right at me while doing so. today a truck pulling a long low trailer turned right in front of me and had i not been being extra cautious and slow, i would have slammed into his trailer, because the car in the closer lane he turned in front of blocked the view of the trailer.

this happens constantly. and methodically it seems. i know this isn't all coincidence. i've learned to be extra careful of cars zooming behind me just as i'm about to back out, of cars travelling directly in my blind spot, of cars turning sharply in front of me at intersections, of cars blocking me on the highway so that i have to drive at a reduced speed. there's much more than this too. and this happens every time i drive. i suppose the reasons for this are not necessary to discuss here. i don't really even understand them. anyway, i live in an area where the traffic is not too heavy; it's fairly rural in most places -- even the larger town i visit weekly doesn't have a bad traffic problem, so that isn't a factor.

and i have been driving many, many years in large cities and highways, all over the country. i never have experienced anything like this.

and well, i am sorry to go on this way....but...perhaps you can give me some wise words.

this has been happening quite a while, so i try to make the best of it. and i have had quite a few episodes like yours, of slowing down for a reason, thus narrowly avoiding something traumatic. and i have felt blessed at these times.

but today i had many places to go, and this driving madness seemed more intense than usual. i generally try to be smiling and forgiving and very cautious and, yes, conscious of my breathing....

but what i end up doing is ignoring the reality of all this meanness.....and then it gets under my skin, and it just really hurts! people just seem so incredibly mean! but i tend to ignore it, but today it would not be ignored.

first, i snarled under my breath at a person who pulled in front of me for no reason, not a lot of traffic or anything. i then apologized out loud and repeated "cancel" numerous times (something linda goodman recommends). then later, after several more worse incidences, a truck jerked in front of me so unexpectedly and rapidly that i immediately fired off an inappropriate gesture in much anger. he looked over at me and called me a number of insulting names as traffic came to a stop. i so rarely let it affect me this way! yet, as we sat there, my anger quickly dissipated and was replaced with remorse....i don't want to treat my fellow humans this way!

i felt sad and disappointed in myself and pulled up beside him, trying to get his attention. honked a little and rolled down my window. he finally looked over and i said i was sorry several times. he rolled down his window, and i said it again, that i had just had a bad day. he just said ok.

and then i realized how much this really does affect me. i just don't want to become so unbearably mean myself, and then i witness myself behaving this way! i started to cry and my 2 year old son begged me not to cry, so i tried to explain to him. that mama contends with this all day and acts as though nothing is wrong. but it is! even though i apologized, i felt so terrible for my behavior.

i suppose i need to acknowledge more how i'm feeling, but i feel that i need to stay positive to deal with this day to day!

any advice? i know this is a long post to wade through, but you seem to practice kindness so consciously and well, even in the face of these escalating events.

a good thing though, i noticed today a truck with some wording on the side that really kept my attention while driving down a long boulevard....it seemed to exude some kind of intensified aura, so to speak, of a kind sort.....i don't recall the wording, but something to the effect of, "we're there for you" or "we protect you" or something of that nature...of course it was an advertisement for some business....then it disappeared.

i thought what an unexpected change, finally to get a good vibe from a fellow driver...then the truck passed me out of nowhere, stopped just ahead of me so that i could see a large sticker on the back.

it said:

COLORADO ROCKY MOUNTAIN HIGH

wow! i had such chills, and immediately recalled your posts here. at that moment i did feel blessed.

so i want to thank you again for all that you contribute here. maybe the guardians are withdrawing, but i think some angels must still be around.

and i have purchased a few msr books...(i found spirit song for $.89 online, but it will take awhile to arrive). i looked also today at a used bookstore, but no luck.

well, i love reading this thread, and if you made it through this post, thank you! it's not necessary to respond; i'd like you to know much i appreciate your words of wisdom and kindness. so much warmth emanates from your posts. like being next to a warm and comforting fire.

thanks for the light...may your path be bright.

love from Saffron

saffron; I know just how you feel because we all go through the same thing every day. I can offer a few things that help me a little. Before you leave the house, say a prayer for you and for the others on the road, ask God to cover you with His light and visualize this. When you are driving and another person cuts you off or something, mentally say "patience" then ask the Lord to grant that person all he deserves in life, and think how happy you will be when he gets it. Instead of holding up one finger, hold up two in the peace sign and wish the person a nice day, after all, they really need it. I don't know if this helps you, but it keeps me from screaming and shooting other drivers, and I find I arrive where I was going and still relatively sane. One more thing, tell your little one that you were crying with relief because the crazy driver didn't hit you guys. Sometimes a small fib saves a lot of time, which can be spent in love and play instead of trying to explain the world to a toddler. There's time for that later. I have found a wonderful country song that helps and addresses thai topic. I can't remember the artist right now, but listen to "Some Beach". It'll make your day.
Hope I was a little help. AS always..........

thanks so much weeseldad.....you have some good ideas there. actually crying helped relieve some of the pressure, and i soon told my son everything was ok and i felt better because he loved me so much. then we went to a playground and ran around and jumped around and played A LOT! and we both had good fun. so it worked out ok. i always try to make sure that my son knows that there are always good things in life, that outweigh the other things, that sometimes make us sad.

i liked your ideas, and i'm sure they will help us in the future.

and weeseldad, i meant to ask, what do you mean by "we all go through the same thing every day?" this experience for me is beyond bizarre, by all accounts, even though it's been happening for a number of years now. i just can't get used to it.

can you explain this phenomenon, of people seeming so deliberately to be trying to cause accidents? is it just 'birthing pains' of the phoenix? if so, why am i trying so hard to avoid this behavior myself?

Are people genuinely trying to cause accidents? Or perhaps people have lost sight of where they are going? What they desire is confused & lost in the rushing to find it?

Maybe it`s not a symptom of the Phoenixs birthing Pains, but a symptom of the Souls Birthing Pain to find joy and peace in God/Dess?

Weeseldad is a shining light of manners, compassion and Service to humanity. Where there is one, there is more Seek and ye shall find. Do not dwell on the apparent shortcommings of life, but find joy in the Experience it will bring you.

hi juniper....

i don't wish to dwell on the shortcomings that push themselves into my consciousness every day. as i said in my post, i focus on the positive, and on trying to be kind myself, to the point of ignoring the reality around me. sometimes it seems like ignoring an illness -- the more you don't give it attention, the more it manifests itself -- until it hurts enough to address the issues that are causing it.

i am seeking! it's what brought me to this thread!

A story for you dear Saffron

**A Teacher was sitting at a crossroads one morning when a young man came up to him and asked whether he could study with him. Yes, for one day, said the Teacher.
Throughout the day, one traveler after another stopped to ask questions about man and life, about the Teaching or to beg for help – or just to pay respects. But the Teacher merely sat in an attitude of contemplation, his head on his knee, and he made no answer at all.

One by one, the people went away. Towards evening a poor man with a heavy bundle approached the pair and asked the way to the nearest town. The Teacher immediately stood up, took the man’s burden on his own shoulders and conducted him a part of the way along the right road.

Then he returned to the crossroads. The young disciple asked Was that man, miserable peasant though he looked, really a saint in disguise, one of the secret wanderers of high rank? The Teacher sighed and said: He was the only person whom we have seen today who really sought the object, which he claimed to want.

thanks for that thoughtful story juniper...it reminds me of a wonderful collection of books i had, some of which were by idries shah.

here's one from him:

quote:
an answer of Jesus

Some Israelites reviled Jesus one day as he was walking through their part of town. But he answered by repeating prayers in their name.
Someone said to him: 'You prayed for these men, did you not feel incensed against them?'
He answered: 'I could spend only of what I had in my purse.'

s Good evening to all. I am renewed once more because of the gifts that you have shared with all of us. I don't really know if the strange behavior of people is due to the advent of the Phoenix or what, but I know that there seems to be a growing disregard for the rights of others. Even for your life as you drive. I have become aware that several states have even passed special laws to deal with "agressive" drivers. The only thing that I can say is that we must not lose ourselves to the increasing pressures of life. Try to remember who we are, where we are going and the right road to get there. If we can pass these values on to the children, we can change the world, one child at a time. More and more I find myself saying those four letters as I deal with the world: WWJD? If you need to be inspired(as we all do) check out Martina McBride's song "Love's The Only House" It is a true message of hope. As always.........
