s I collected this long ago and remembered it recently. What do you think? What is New Age Anyway?
by Jack Clarke

It's people taking conscious responsibility for their own lives, not blaming others for their problems.
It's people who deliberately decide to learn and grow.
It's people that don't have to be right, except for themselves.
It's people seeing problems as lessons, perhaps in a long series of lives and lessons.
It's people who believe we are what we think we are, and can change ourselves by changing our thinking.
It's people that feel they can change the world by changing themselves, not by trying to change others.
It's people who search for strength from the universe by going inside themselves.
It's people that recognize love doesn't have to have conditions attached.
It's people loving and knowing themselves in order to better know and love others.
It's people who see others as not better than nor less than, but rather different than, themselves, yet part of the same whole.
It's people that choose their own path rather than follow dogma.
It's people honoring your right to your own path, not theirs.
It's people who realize that now is all we have, since yesterday is just a thought and so is tomorrow.
It's people interested in owning themselves rather than things.
It's people who see joy in life rather than pain, having experienced enough pain already.
It's people curious about extra sensory perception and all it implies.
It's people in all walks of life, from business persons to flower essence healers, psychologists to UFO investigators.
New Age is not a new religion with a hierarchy of priests and rituals, seeking converts, though some new agers choose some ritual.
New Age is not often gloom and doomers, though many are concerned about ecology, the economy and other forces that affect our world.
New Age is not a movement based on guild, anger, fear or hurt; it is a journey toward the love that is God.
New Age is not allegiance to one master; it is learning from many masters in the quest for the oneness of God.
New Age could not become a cult because of what is said above.
New Age is not just humans doing, it is humans being.

I don't often use the term "new age" because I'm not fond of labels, but this captures how I feel about what I do and who I am.
I have love for all in my purse and I try to spend it freely. To all who seek........

s Greetings to all, I trust everyone is doing well. jb, I thank you for the prayers, I will return the favor tonight. I seem to have developed the habit of talking to God and listening to "the casual reply." to quote John Denver. Anyway, it works for me. Saffron, I will include you and all others also. One thing that I have learned from the book I am reading is that we all need to pray for guidence and for others as well to be remembered by others in their prayers.
As I listen to the two candidates for president, I think that I am becoming worried that one of them might be elected. (ha ha)

Dearest Saffron, none is higher in Spiritual advancement that the other, You as I are a perfect Creation of God/Dess. We hide behind a mask of personality which hides our Souls perfection/Purpose. When we listen to our Souls cry, then we begin our journey to Spiritual Awareness. God/Dess hears you, listen to your Heart and hear Her.

My Teacher taught the story by requesting the students to Know Thyself. To Know thyself is to Know that which we have to spend

Jesus was passing by a group of religious Jews. They taunted him and reviled him.
He turned to them with Blessings and Love.
Afterward, the followers of Christ questioned him about this... : The Christ replied... "I can only spend of that which I have in my purse".

" This is touted as the truism for forgiveness But look deeper... What do YOU have in YOUR purse? Yes, you have that which the Christ had...but it is veiled, hidden. Hidden behind these other things like hate, resentment, anger, frustration and pain So, FIRST we must spend all those things from our purse. In a purposeful way. In a way that they do not multiply. In a way that they do not harm others THEN we will be left with that which the Christ had an abundance of... "

Look beneath the personality and see what Lies in the Heart.

Love and peace to you Saffron,

's I hope you are all well today. I want to recommend a new song that I heard today. I don't know if y'all listen to country music, but find a station and listen to Andy Griggs' song "If Heaven". I promise that you will be moved.
Saffron, I don't know where you are now but I think you are trying to get home' spiritually. I am reminded of something I used to tell tenth graders a long time ago, when I taught Cathchism classes. I picked up a phrase that is as wonderful as it is simple; "Let go and let God." Isn't this a great way to begin, or continue?
To all.....

The reply is the Guidance we need to apply in our search for God/dess,Truth,and Unconditional Love.

Weeseldad, Let Go and Let God We must always remember it is in Loving and safe hands when we do and never take the problem back. Thank you for the reminder!!

indeed, i shall try, today, to let go and let God. your messages are so timely.

juniper ~ i'm glad you've found some answers. how nice to find a way to release a problem and never have to take it back. i guess that would benefit a lot of people.

love, Saffron

's I am happy to contribute to your lives in my small, quiet way. I always try to leave a little love and happiness wherever I go. You have no idea how exciting it is to have found a group of like minded friends. I was afraid that I and my family were a very small minority for a while. I did finish that book I was reading. It ended with a victory for Good, but there were some people that didn't survive and some that were sacrificed for a season, just like in real life. What I took away from the story is a reminder of the importance of prayer on a daily basis and the realization that when people you know and others act strangely or badly, there is an underlying reason. This is usually due to the influence of the powers of darkness. In the end, we must choose our own way and it should be, always, the Light of God. As always......

's Greetings and peace to y'all.
I echo your thoughts on election day. So far it seems peaceful. I thank you for your prayers because I find myself a bit down today. Our youngest son (21) went to Hawaii to live and work with his oldest brother for the next year. It is time and a great opportunity for him, however, no matter how prepared you are, the reality of their leaving creates a void that takes time to get used to. We have six children and four have flown, but I never can get comfortable with it, especially since three of them are in Hawaii now and it is eight thousand miles away.
Enough of that. How are all of you keeping? And what happened to Orchid Spirit? I was beginning to look forward to her sharing. This is for anyone who reads this thread. Any of you who share knowledge of Summer Rain or have feelings or questions about what you read here, PLEASE jump right in and share with us. We are all just seekers who are trying to understand the present and make spiritual and physical preparations for the future. For today, may your Spirit Guides lead you into the Light. As always.....

Im here Weeseldad, I have only part read bittersweet by MSR and so feel a little hesitant to post here too much.

I have a quote for you that I found today and it reminds me of you and our friend Juniperb:-

"The kindness I have longest remembered has been of this sort, the sort unsaid; so far behind the speakers lips that almost it already lay in my heart. It did not have far to go to be communicated."

(Henry David Thoreau)

Saffron, it is good to hear from you. Do not worry about what you have or haven't read. Summer is just a common point for us, actually we are sharing our feelings, insights and messages from our Guides that help us to get where we are going. I am reading a book by Morris West called The Clowns of God. It is the sequel to Shoes Of The Fisherman. Here is a quote that says a lot. "The biggest mistake we've all made through the ages is to try to explain the ways of God to men. We shouldn't do that. We should just announce Him. He explains Himself very well." Isn't that great? So don't worry about posting, go with your heart, the Spirit will explain what we don't grasp. I believe that in my heart. What do you think of the election results? I am worried that we will see more things from the Phoenix manifested in the next two to three years. We should watch world events more closely and look out for the Draft thing to come back up. Peace to you and....

I read MSR years ago, when I first entered college. She got me through a lot of confusion. I'm also a HUGE Shirley MacLaine reader.... just wanted to add my love for those two readers. MSR and Shirley and Linda are my three "avatars" of world and individual healing.

So you are not alone!

Thank you again for Captains... it passed on again.

Yes, MSR has helped me thru some very difficult times as well.

Orchidspirit, I have missed you here. Bittersweet was somewhat of a recap of MSR`s life & understandings

Weeseldad, you always state things so clearly, it is a joy to read your words.

My thanks for the gift of your words of appreciation, I try to share my love and care and help some in my humble way. If I can bring a smile or an insight to one person a day, then I have accomplished much and enriched myself along the way. I offer one more quote from "The Clowns Of God". I pray that it makes you think; as it did me. I admit, I had to read it twice before the Light came on. Speaking of the Second Coming of the Lord, the author says; "When a man becomes a clown he makes a free gift of himself to the audience. To endow them with the saving grace of laughter, he submits to be mocked, drenched, clouted, crossed in love. Your Son made the same submission when He was crowned as a mock king, and the troops spat wine and water in His face... My hope is that when He comes again, He will still be human enough to shed a clown's gentle tears over the broken toys-that once were women and children."
I think that this is the most moving image of Jesus that I have ever ran across.

's Greetings to y'all tonight. I don't like to ask for favors, but I have a question. I was sampling other threads on the site, especially the ones about Linda's books. Does anyone know where I can get a copy of Gooberz in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia? (Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake). I have looked somewhat and it seems to hide or have just left. Is this one of the things that only appear when the time is right? Any help will be accepted with love and thanks. for now....

Good evening to you my friend. I thank you for the info. I never realized that MSR and Linda were connected in this way. Imagine having the same publisher. I guess I should have known since there are no coincidences, ever. Again, my thanks.

Yes, the song. Weeseldad posted acouple of Johns songs early on in this thread. Is one of them "the song" you`re thinking of?

There are no coincidences as Weeseldad said

Weeseldad, Blessings in your search for Gooberz, a must read

Hello to all. It is wonderful to see a new name here, welcome Thorshammer. I think the song is "rocky Mountain High". It seems to capture the spirit of NoEyes for me.
It is a beautiful Sunday, Fall morning and I must be off on some errands, don't forget to thank the Father for today when you finally stop to rest tonight.

HI,
Weeseldad and Juniperb,
yes, rockymountain high is a great one.
I remembered No Eyes telling Mary that there was one other, and I dont think it was the Native brother that Mary went to see, so one day while i was listening to my Country Roads collection...eyes closed, this song came on called FLY AWAY.

it just reminded me of her for some reason.
though i think its mother nature she is talking about, i dont know. just beautiful....here are the lyrics all.

FLY AWAY by JOHN DENVER

All of her days have gone soft and cloudy
All of her dreams have gone dry
All of her nights have gone sad and shady
She’s getting ready to fly

Fly away, fly away, fly away

Life in the city can make you crazy
For sounds of the sand and the sea
Life in a high-rise can make you hungry
For things that you can’t even see

Fly away, fly away, fly away

In this whole world there’s nobody as lonely as she
There’s nowhere to go and there’s nowhere that she’d rather be

She’s looking for lovers and children playing
She’s looking for signs of the spring
She listens for laughter and sounds of dancing
She listens for any old thing

Fly away, fly away, fly away

YOU KNOW....JOHN DENVER had the great alone didnt he? totally!!
