Again dunno who I'll support....Argentinas very popular here....most people will be rooting for arg in my town...

BUT

I argentina wins my yahoo FANTASY TEAM WILL GO TO THE DOGS!!!!

I have req from arg,but have ballack,lahm philip and frederich from germany..

So head says germany....heart says argentina..

MAY THE BEST TEAM WIN!

LAME. Games decided on penalty kicks are really irritating.

BTW, does anyone know what the whole fight after the match was about? The commentators didn't sound very sure, something to do with an assistant coach.

Italy vs. Ukraine is up. Ugh, I really still can't believe that Ukraine is still in and Spain isn't .

Ugly player fracas follows German penalty win

BERLIN, June 30 (Reuters) - Players of both teams clashed on the pitch after Germany beat Argentina on 4-2 on penalties to reach the semi-finals of the World Cup on Friday, the match having finished 1-1 after extra-time.

German team manager Oliver Bierhoff appeared to be at the centre of the fracas and and incurred the wrath of the Argentina players in the seconds that followed their exit from the competition.

FIFA officials and referee Lubos Michel were all caught up in the melee and punches and kicks appeared to be thrown in chaotic scenes which went on for approximately 90 seconds in front of a 72,000 crowd.

The trouble seemed to start when midfielder Tim Borowski gestured towards the Argentina players to "keep quiet" having scored his penalty to make it 4-2 in Germany's favour.

Several of the South American players walked towards him and when the final Argentina spot-kick was saved, the Argentina defender Fabricio Coloccini approached Germany's Oliver Neuville.

Punches were thrown in a brief melee before it was broken up.

I was neutral in this game but I felt kind of sad for Argentina. Some germany player hit the Argentina goalkeeper in the ribs so he had to be substituted and only after that did Klose score and the penalties was not really fair as Argentina had a pathetic substitute goalkeeper.

Anyways GO ITALY! .

OMG OMG! barazil lost...I still dont believe it!

Man they have something going on when It comes to playong against brazil in the world cups..

And they were soooo out of form! one match changed everything!

AND YAY!!! portugal got through!!

yeah the've never won a cup before...but the scary part is they're going to run into an onsong(almost) french side,with zizou almost back to his imperial best!

they better watch out!
