Deux - at least you are getting a taste of another

quote:
Is your progressed sun in Pisces yet? It would be a very interesting change.

Yes it went so in 2003. The first day, I cried. It has its ups and down, mostly downs though. I feel I'm more understanding and able to let go more but the downs are no good. Everything is no longer clear or crystal like it used to be, I'm not happy with who I have become - I've lost myself and my drive, I feel I am dependent on Mr 23. I really don't like it. I think having Sun in Pisces natally would be very hard, not that Aqu Sun is easy.

PA,

actually Venus-Mars-opposition is the most passionate aspect there is (apart from the Pluto-connections). And it`s a double - whammy.

Just remember Venus and Mars are natural opposites in the zodiac!
(Libra and Aries are naturally ruled by Venus and Mars, as are Scorpio and Taurus).

Also, this aspect seemed to work for the most passionate couples I can think of: Johnny Depp - Vanessa Paradis, Liz Taylor - richard Burton, Stuart Townsend - Charlize theron.

I actually think it`s preferable to have a square, conjunction or opposition between Venus - Mars, as it provides the tension, necessary for strong sexual attraction.
Other really strong oppositions are Sun and Moon (ask Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith, or Richard Burton and Liz Taylor), or Sun and Venus.

I think the difficult oppositions may be more between the masculine planets like Sun-Sun, Mars-Mars, Sun-Mars and of course between personal planets and transpersonal planets or Saturn.
Venus - Pluto is an exception as again they are natural opposites in the zodiac (Taurus and Scorpio).

Also, I agree on the Venus-Saturn-aspect; on the other hand it`s said to be a pretty karmic bond (it worked for my parents).

Also I read (and do agree) that "love ties" prefer the harmonious aspects like conjunction, trine and sextile, while "sex ties" need the friction-causing aspects like conjunction, opposition and square.

Aquarians by nature don't just willy nilly hop into bed, the person has to be special to them and be their friend that they've gotten to know and observe over a long time. He's allowed me to observe him but would he consider me his friend? Would I consider him my friend?

Agreed but a relationship I'd say must have one harsh aspect, seems in particular the ones involving Saturn. I never noticed your DW by the way! Not sure how his natal Saturn-Mars opp plays out.

Really? I'm certain I read somewhere yesterday that it creates tensions and blocks. See if I can find that. I could be wrong, of course. You do know far better than me in these things.

Why opposition, what about the conj, when the two are next to each other experiencing every gamut of emotion/connection under the sun?

quote:
Mars opposition Venus:

What does it mean to your relationship when your Mars is in opposition to your partner’s Venus? If opposites attract, you are in for some sexual fireworks. Your attraction is undeniable but you have differences that you will need to overcome in the ways you choose to express love and desire to receive your partner’s affection. It can turn into a struggle for dominance as each of you try to convert the other to your way of seeing and doing things. If your romantic partner’s Mars is in opposition to your Venus, you may feel that you always seem to be the giving partner and this may stimulate your urge to have your way. A little creativity is needed and practice taking turns if you want this love to be anything more than a competition.

From what I've read Mars trine Pluto seems to be the most sexual and harmonious. The others are competitive or have domination conflicts.

These relationships that you mention are filled with disharmony and tension - Liz Taylor & Richard Burton, Melanie Griffith & Antonio Banderas. I would have thought that the most important attractors would have a natural harmony to balance the level of desire and passion. Rather than causing conflict, just making irresistable energy. A natural drawing together. Where sex transcends everything - takes them to other places inside themselves and each other - where they dissolve into each other and everything - where they find and lose themselves at the same time - not just bandaids it.

DD

quote:
Mars trine Pluto:

What does it mean to your relationship when your Mars is trine your partner’s Pluto? There is nothing to hold you back from extremes. Sexual energies between you and your romantic partner are very intense, very absorbing. Whatever you two do, you do with everything you’ve got. You both have the individual assertiveness, desire, willingness to be inspired by challenges and overcome opposition, you could accomplish even more together. If your romantic partner’s Mars is trine your Pluto, you naturally have a source of regenerative energies which create and sustain a intensely possessive sexual union. Power plays come easily and both of you enjoy driving.

This sounds really nice to me - perfect.

I'd say for a long relationship, the trine between Mars and Venus is the best. The chemistry is there and it is always harmoniously managed.

23,

yes I also noticed at least one harsh Saturn-aspect to Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars or NN / SN in most relationships.

Yes, there is a dw
His Venus on 3 Gemini opposes my Mars on 5 Sagittarius
His Mars on 4 Cancer (along with his Eros) opposes my Venus on 6 Capricorn

There is also a dw on Juno-Aphrodite:
his Juno conjuncts my Aphrodite
his Aphrodite opposes my Juno

This is what I found for Aphrodite or Pan-aspects (Pan seems to figure strongly in my fatal attractions, and in this case it is conjunct SN and DSC)

Aphrodite:
Impulsive love and attraction, love inspired by fated events, animosity turning to magnetism, charisma
dynamic drive to mate, & to consummate sexual desire with a specific partner @ certain times. If one has a magnetic or receptive partner, this can be intensly emotonal sex. There is a strong desire to connect with others even if the person is a loner.

Pan:
Seductive and earthy sensuality, creative, wily, and likely to instill "panic" to produce change or contact

If I met him I might think he was a real knobend, who knows.

Venus CNJ Saturn features strongly in important relationships in my life. My niece, my dad, my best friend. They are all the Saturn.

Bear in mind I have Venus Square Mars. Having Saturn at either end doesn't have to be a bad kind of controlling, it can be the calming kind.

PA,

I guess I`m having my very own opinion on those aspects.
I know that other astrologers see that differently. But honestly, we can find at least one contrary interpretation for every aspect.

In my experience the strongest aspects, meaning those who make you pay attention the most, are conjunction, opposition, followed by the square.
Trines and sextiles are nice and soft, but won`t make you feel irresistibly drawn to each other.
You`d have good sexual relation, but something more intense would have to trigger that connection.

Oppositions of course contain an element of tension. They are opposites after all.
And of course there can be always challenges with oppositions, definitely. But I was talking about passion and attraction, not compatibility.

That is the beautiful thing about the conjunction; there you seem to have both, attraction and compatibilty. But it`s only my opinion.

The opposition between Sun and Venus and Venus and Mars in progressed synastry seems to be strongest indicatore of when a really intense and passionate relationship is going to start (according to Westran`s research of over 1000 synastries).

It makes sense to me, as man and woman are natural polarities. Of course witht he opposition you have that polarity twice.
1. through the polar planets Venus an d Mars
2. trhough the polar aspect of opposition

Maybe it can get a bit TOO intense after a while and proves difficult outside the bedroom.

This is part of my Grand Cross with mr bm.

His Leo Mars, my Taurus Venus.

I liked him young(ish) and slim, I like him fat and old. He moans a bit about his weight but it doesn't put me off.

I like Russell Crowe with a bit of meat on him, as well, I don't know why he worries about it (or seems to going on interview about how one of his roles messed up his metabolism). He looks fine either way. As long as it isn't a problem for his work.
