I understand that. It's like those soulmate threads that irk/amuse me. There could be someone spectacular in front of them and because they have a square aspect they'd prefer wasn't there or they don't have soulmate/twinflame links or because the person has brown eyes they allow it to change the feelings and the potential. It's bu11shit, quite frankly. Too busy looking for something else when something good is right before them - the forest from the trees expression. It's an excuse for whatever reason. You do compromise. You have to. That perfect person doesn't exist - not really - he'll have flaws - he'll leave the toilet seat up and forget your birthday and buy you totally innapropriate or just outright stupid gifts. That doesn't mean you can't make it something worthwhile and loving.

 I'm learning so much about this guy on this thread ~ and that's good, very good. He's conjunct my North Node. That's a message I can't ignore. All the discussions about relationships I flick over with a half glance. That's him Square my Mercury and Venus in Taurus. Sitting in my 3rd house ~ that's him feeling on an alien planet in Unmoved's friendship thread. .. but mabye not, you have to know where's the line, how far away you are from the chalk. PA,like always you have been spot on with your analysis. I actually think I am pretty committed and certainly noone for short affairs.
I lack a lot of confidence in regards to relationships, that is for sure, and that may have been the reason I wasn`t really open for many years.
But I feel like something has changed; but it`s a rather slow change. I can`t make the 180-turn, but I try to be open. Oh someone here mentioned a cold attraction, and that made me instantly think of my cold-attraction-guy, which is Julian Sands.
I do not find him to be goodlooking or very appealing or something of that kind; he is to me the epitome of coldness, or maybe more of some kind of a void.
And yet at the same time - he`s like burning ice.
You know when you touch something really cold, it burns your skin just the same as holding your finger into a flame.
I remember that the moment I saw him in a film, I was repulsed and fascinated at the same time (not an unusual thing for me I guess. lol), and I was instantly having an image inside my mind.
A black forest in a frosty november night and a feel of haunting compulsion.
And at that very moment I also had a poem inside my mind. I didn`t really WORK on it, it just surfaced from the depth of my mind or whatever and was there, as a whole. I`m not sure the words made sense, but it was the athmosphere of it, the feel, that captured the impression.

A whisper in the wind
A murmur in the night
Unseen eyes burn my skin
Blazing with unforgiven sin Your breath blowing through my veins
My entrails turn to ice
Unspoken nightmares

Oh my God, DD. This is so freaking weird. I am viciously attracted to Julian Sands. I don't think we're soulmates or anything like that but he ties my guts in knots. I don't get this!!! PA says Ralph is cold, you say Julian is cold and i say they're both on fire. I would expect YOU, DD, to at least be irrevocably attracted to him. I thought you were an intensity-junkie? DD,I looked at your syn with Julian. Your Venus AND Mars are both aspecting his Pluto. No wonder you're drawn to him. However, i think the cold part might be coming from the Sun/Moon opposition between the two of you. Now, the Venus/Chiron conjunction on your Moon might lighten it, but i can understand why you would be taken back at first. PLUS some heavy Saturn. Your Saturn is opp his Sun and inconjunct his Moon. THEN his Saturn is on your NN, Mercury and Sun. Some heavy restriction going on there. Dampens the attraction. IP: Logged |

Meta,it`s a different kind of "cold" as PA feels for Rafe, I`m sure. I never said he does nothing to me, Julian, that is.
I was absolutely mesmerized by him. But not in the way that you get all warm and fuzzy inside.
I was feeling like a cold hand was clasping my heart, a hard to explain fear. ´
I actually can`t watch too many movies with him, at least not in one go. I have several here, I never even watched.
He just sends shivers down my spine. But I am surprised you are into him. And I know we have some *interesting* synastric aspects: his Moon in my 7th house opposing my Sun his Mercury and EROS conjunct my Sun and Mercury his Venus and Chiron conjunct my Moon and trine my Karma his Mars conjunct my Mars, ASC, Lust and NN!  his Neptune sextile my Venus his pluto widely trine my Venus and square my mars his SN falls flat onto my asteroid actor, Eros-Psyche-mp and Part of Marriage  his Karma completes a T-square with my Venus and Pluto, because his Karma conjuncts my IC, opposes my Pluto and squares my Venus (Karma-Venus-DW!) His Karma also trines my Mars, Neptune, Lust, NN and ASC his Amor exactly conjuncts my Chiron his Juno exactly conjuncts my SN and also conjuncts my DSC his Juno trines my Pluto and MC his Sun opposes my Saturn We actually have what the Magi call a Sexual captivation. There is a mystical triangle of his Juno trine my Pluto (super sexual aspect) and quinkunx my Venus (the STRONGEST sexual aspect according to Magi; but we have the second strongest as well), along with a Saturn-captivation, as his Saturn trines my Chiron.
A magi astrologer would say I don`t stand a chance. And he or she would advise me to run as far as I can, as he would have the complete control over me added to that irresistible magnetic sexual attraction.

I think the aspects to his Saturn may be too wide.His Saturn is 9° from my NN and 6°-7° from Sun and Mercury.
But on second thought it falls pretty close onto my Venus-Mars-mp on 20° Sagittarius, so it might indeed dampen the attraction. But as I said my Eros-Psyche-mp is conjunct his SN. My Mars-Pluto-mp falls flatly onto his NN. I never realised that axis before!
But WOW! Also there is a strange similiarity between the synastry to him, Jude and Sean.
In all three cases there is an exact Eros-Psyche-conjunct in the Dracos: Jude`s and Julian`s natal Psyche are exactly conjunct my Draco Eros (and Vertex).
