MMMMmmmmm I love lightening! We only get it once in a while!!! Thunder, I used to love sometimes, but my little babygirl dog is so scared of it. It pretty much terrifies her! She shakes, shivers and pants really hard for hours. Hides under tables, desks or furniture.

Well, you did ask for rain. I aim to please.

Yesterday it was 101+ here, and for once it did not cool off during the night. I simply could not sleep because it was so hot...........I got about 2 hours sleep.

However, my Belgian Waffles did make me feel a little bit better this a.m.

It reached 104 here yesterday! Then about 6pm a wonderful North breeze came up and brought in clouds and then huge rain drops for about an hour! It was great and then the rest of the evening was fairly cool..in the 70's.

Waffles...yum, one of my favorites! I went to the pool first thing this AM and then came in to fix home made biscuits and jelly and some coffee...mmmm, good!

Wow, you are lucky it cooled off after 104!!! Today it was a bit cooler, in the 90's..........and now it's starting to cool off a little bit so I hope to be able to sleep tonight!

It's neat that you guys get rain during the summer. We get *none* from Spring to Winter.

Mmmmm biscuits!!! I love biscuits. Soft, warm, YUM

I'm afraid our rainshowers will be few and far between for the rest of the summer. We are actually 7+ inches under normal rainfall for this time of year. We didn't get near enough in May or June. Now we are really behind! But, this is Oklahoma and that could change tomorrow!!lol
I've seen it cool off and rain for a week in the middle of August...not the norm, but it has happened. Normally, I will be out there every morning watering the plants and flowers cause it is so dry and hot.
But still, I do love summer!!!

We had the most glorious cool front come through night before last! I went to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at 4:30 and it was 101. When we came out of the theatre is was 20 degrees cooler and raining. There was a magnificent lightning display all evening and it rained all night. The temp dropped to 59!! Yesterday my plants and flowers were dancing in their beds!!!

I only have 1 week left of summer. Therefore, I am going to try and do good/fun things every day. Then school starts.
Randall, can I still count on you for help with my essays?
