The weather has finally cooled off for a bit ~ this weekend it is only in the upper 70's to very lower 80's if even that.......we got fog last night and this a.m.  So unusual for mid-August. S'pose to be cool all week I think. IP: Logged |

Here's somethin' for y'all to do in the Summer evenin's 'specially y'all southern folk:  Converting Cricket Chirps to Temperature Fahrenheit, count number of chirps in 14 seconds then add 40 to get temperature.
Example: 30 chirps + 40 = 70° F
To convert cricket chirps to degrees Celsius, count number of chirps in 25 seconds, divide by 3, then add 4 to get temperature.
Example: 48 chirps /(divided by) 3 + 4 = 20° C ~from the Old Farmer's Almanac

it's cooling off here. nights are cold. afternoons are warm in the sun, but cool in the shade. it kind changes each day, but lately is ranging from 70-80-ish. Windy too!IP: Logged |
