With the IX of Swords in the past, there is a feeling of deep guilt on your part. I think this has to do with the Ex you recently parted with. I interpret this card symbolizing anguish inside because you are feeling as though you really inflicted a severe wound on someone who is not as strong of a personality and character as yourself. Another way to put it, and something I sense, is when the two of you got into an argument, you knew intuitively that you were the meaner one and exercised an above average set of smarts of where precisely to inflict the pain.

In the present state, the IV of Wands is showing that you are feeling appreciated and acknowledged by someone. The feeling is of relief because you always knew you had gifts and talents, but they were not appreciated, or readily seen in the past.

For the future, The Emperor card is reversed and is part of the Major Arcana. When a major arcana card is present, it means more than the day to day challenges, it is a message carrying over from past lives and a form of energy that is part of our evolutionary process requiring us to master. In this case, it is a message saying you really need to pay more attention as to why there has been so much aggression and cruelty in your relationships. Past:
Deep guilt, yes. Indeed. It was eating me up until I decided that it was futile to try to get forgiveness from someone else - so I just gave it to myself. OMG, when we argued, there were so many things I COULD have said, that were direct blows to his inner ugliness, and he was quite insecure for sure so I know I could have really messed with his head, but I didn't think it was worth it. It would have only escalated the situation, and he had a very volitile temper. I finally did let him have it all in an email about 3 weeks ago. It felt tremendous, and I'm letting go of the dissappointment now. I wish I had done that long ago.

Present:
I'm back with my sweet Virgo ex now. Not living together, but almost. I realize how much better for me he is, how he makes me want to be a better person, to deserve the love he feels for me. I'm very good to him as well, but I don't spend as much time with him as he would like. I'm taking it slow, because I don't want him to be the "rebound guy"...Regardless, I think I love him 10X more now than I did before. I think I'd like to be his wife. (gasp - did I just say that? Lol)

Future:
I realize I have to be more committed, and not be afraid of it. That seems to be at the root of all my problems. I don't give 100% of myself, 100% of the time. It's with the nuts & bolts of the daily grind that I'm inconsistant. I get bored easiy, and can be unreliable because of it. I need to be more constant, and stop expecting a romance novel.

I can be like a lightening rod sometimes with my words and opinions. I blame my Aqua moon, and Sag rising for that. But I never thought anyone feared me because of it, or thought they had to walk on eggshells around me. I never have any malice in my words, but I suppose that may not always be obvious. Interesting.
