Yes, indeed. I'm contradiction personified. My essential personality is one of introversion and my tendencies are to keep to conservative pessimistic myself. However, my outlook in life is one of optimism and extroversion. Therefore, there is a strange dichotomy.

OK Chiron in the 12th is like double Chiron or Chiron on steroids This is prolly your hardest placement. Once, you understand things in the chart, it becomes much easier. It is ,actually, like magic, in that you can ACCEPT them, and embrace them, as yours, because they are, for better or worse. You can claim them, rather than push them away as a rejected mentally ill relative lol.

I find that there is a great deal of healing from accepting these hard things. Your main one is this. The other parts of it are the oppositions to two powerhouse planetss--Pluto and Uranus in the 6th---the house of health and work(service). As we study these, it should become clearer if we were right to put them in the 6th house, but I think we were due to this being a health house and the pain from the genetic issues.

So, this will be my work, next. Chiron in the 12th and it's oppositions to Pluto and Uranus in the 6th. I think this should really open up big doors for you. It may be painful but understanding oneself and one's life is ALWAYS worth it, in my experience.

If you are talking about emotional pain, then indeed. I carry a tremendous amount of emotional pain in my life. I have pain from my childhood that I've yet to be able to let go, with constant reminders of the emotional scarring I have sufferred.

Despite having been married for two decades, believe it or not, I carry the pain of all my past relationships, including my very first. As ridiculous as it sounds, I still bear tremendous affection for all the women who have walked into my life.

Of course, I bear the burden of emotional pain on a daily basis at work as well.

Its a constant sufferring.

The pain is never going to go away on its own.

Its psychological. Its emotional. And its extremely deep. The sufferring is immense.

Might as well understand it.

Chiron hurts wherever it is placed, whatever it touches. It is the nature of Chiron. It is the wound which does not heal, but one from which we can heal others. We can heal others through our brokeneness, but can never have that wound go away in us. It is a sad story. We all have Chiron, but for some people, it is more prominent and more focal, as is the case with every hard thing in the chart. Some people have Nessus prominent and want to "abuse" others and have to put this dark energy in to something good, hopefully.

For you, Chiron, will be your hardest part, as I said, imo.

In the 12th, it will be hidden. Do YOU feel you must hide your pain? Does it feel hidden from yourself, too? Do, you feel you have pushed it down and away, very far? Do you feel grown men should be strong and things like that? Do you feel a deep, deep pain inside, but have not known what to do with it, so have just left it there

I will wait for your answers on these posts before I go on.

I will add a few more things. Anything in the 12th makes it harder for the person than for other people, in one's life. IOW, the fight to deal with the 12th house planet is an internal struggle, a fight between oneself and within oneself. The 12th house takes any planet and turns it backwards, you could say, as a child in time out, whose face is against the wall, There he stands, face to the wall, almost stuck there until he forces himself to turn around. That is a 12th house planet, to me.

With Chiron, you will have to work very hard to just get it to turn it's face from against the wall TO the outside where you can see what you are dealing with. Do you ever feel like you are a pressure cooker waiting to explode? Is this a feeling you have come to accept cuz you did not know HOW to get rid of it

In a sense, I try as best as possible to be a different father to my sons. They will have their pain too, but hopefully they won't have to deal with the pain dispensed to me as a kid.

Certainly. My life has been one pressure cooker. However, me leaving for college in America was like the Mayflower sailing. My attitude was "good riddance" to the sorrows of my childhood. I didn't really blossom till I was on my own in college. That was when I started having confidence and believing in myself. I started getting superb grades and achieving career success, thus surprising everyone who had written me off.

I don't share the pain, and that is part of the problem. Only those closest to me understand, and even then I don't want to innundate those I love.

I often have to put up a front of strength in front of my wife, or feel pressured to. She would understand some emotional depression, but can't take it for a prolonged period of time. Its not healthy, and I wouldn't be setting the best example for my sons being a depressed father.

OK, so does what I have said about Chiron fit to your INNER self? If it does not, in any way, how so?

Yes. The inner hurt has its presence well felt.

Ok, it is good we can talk about it, here. That should help

I am going to meditate on the oppositions, for a bit.

How does this pain come out, if it does? Does it make you want to drink it away, spend it away, exercise it away etc?

Does it come out as high blood pressure, migraines etc?

i am thinking it is in the 12th house because you do not show your pain. If it were conjunct the ASC or in the 1st house, you would show it ,more. This is another reason that I think we have the new time right.

It comes out through my quiet time with God. I get time on the train and in solitude. I exercise it away as well. I don't drink.. well, hardly drink.. like one drink a month. I have to watch what I eat though. I like food and the temptation to find solace in food is too great. I still watch my weight.

No, I don't show my pain well, but the pain is there. I'm often in agony without anyone knowing.

It is good if it comes out in sex

This will be the hardest part of your chart. The rest seems to be blessings, for the most part X

Ok, inner agony which is hidden would be classic for a 12th house Chiron. Is your agony linked to your marriage? I think I can say NO? That makes me feel I am right about Pluto and Uranus being in the 6th which is health and "service". This includes jobs, but not career, so I will need to meditate on this oppostion, for a bit.

Agony not linked at all to marriage.

Linked to upbringing, social contacts and to career.

OK, good, because we were right to take Uranus and Pluto out of the house of marriage and put it in to the 6th house. Something JUST hit me. Do you have a lot of angst over not being of service enough? Were you taught that you had to "do" in order to be worth anything? Was this a bIG message in your family? We, all, get some of this, from society, but I am wondering if it were a big, big dose?

The 10th house is career and social contacts. This opposition is to the 6th house, so I am trying to figure out how it plays out

How about doing this. I hate to take up ALL of PR but your Chiron does not have the lines drawn on it, so I have to figure out each aspect, mentally. Could you do a thread--with a new chart with the lines drawn to Chiron and we will try to see, exactly what Chiron is doing?Just title it My Chiron with Aspects--atten to me. I may leave it there and meditate on it. Just do it, at your leisure. I have a lot to work with, as it is. Chiron may be touching other things that I am not noticing.

No. My family didn't teach me this.

The "service" issue is self-imposed and developed from my relationship with God. I feel that this is my overall mission in life. I have ultra high standards for myself and never manage to satisfy my own standards.

My birth family wanted me to worship only at the altar of money, others be damned. Material success is considered the ultimate goal in life, and the guy with the biggest playpen and the most toys wins.
