I do know that statements will continue to clash... we all do not have the same belief systems... but I do think we can disagree while addressing concerns in an acceptable manner; I do, however, believe in good manners... and hopefully it would stay that way...

I don't remember who but someone has mentioned that in the past they have pulled away from LindaLand because of attacks... I think WE ALL can learn from that, as I believe it is essential to not push people away... We should be positive role-models... If we continue to attack one another, than new comers who are in search for truth and would like to meet BRILLIANT MINDS SUCH AS ALL OF YOU will freak out and not join... I know that I have met many here brilliant minds here and I enjoy the diversity...

And Nobody should leave the thread because such and such said so... we do not own this website... I think Lotus may begin to feel that way and quite frankly she has been a good help to LindaLand... I have also had my threads with her here in Universal Codes or Oober Land one of them... but she is good and has a good heart and means well...

Mirandee I agree... Better ways of communicating and presenting ideas will help... but we should also know that people will disagree with us this is a public forum where we all share... but I do think we can present ideas while in apposition with clarity and understanding...

I mean... I am seeing such things like "He started" and "No he did, read post #4" sounds BABY to me... and we are all ADULTS here

The key here is "letting go" of things, especially if negative... Peace to all... and nobody is perfect... we all done some harm even if not intended including the perfect me (Just kidding)

The bottomline is Mirandee is that we are all here because we all want to be heard and we all want to be recongnized in some way, form or another and you can't tell me that you don't either. It is just that all of everyone expresses themselves all in different ways and ignoring a person is never going to really help matters, it just makes things worse! Linda would never want that to happen, so why should we?

I know once a person that used to do nothing but lie about his whole entire life, but the question about that is whether if that really bothers me, the answer is "no" and why should bother me, it's not my life, but it is his bubble, so what would it be worth to me to burst it?

You and I will never see eye to eye on things. I hold my Christianity very dear to my heart. I am deeply offended that you did that to the picture of Christ and I posted my opinion. Instead of understanding my view you laughed it off and now state that since you are so close to Jesus he probably even got a laugh. In the same respect, I equivalate that to someone that makes an obnoxious gay joke and follows it up with "But hey, my best gay friend would have gotten a laugh about that".

It doesn't make it right and from the way we have worked here, when you offend someone religiously, ethnically and otherwise it is customary to say sorry for the offense.

You don't - instead you act as though it didn't matter.

THAT is precisely why I have a problem with you. You won't or can't accept responsibility for your actions or stand by your words. I already pointed out before- when it comes to our communication, there is a huge disconnect. I said it in another post it reminds me of those old sitcoms where one person is talking to another with a hearing aid. I said "Hey, how did you like the Music" You said "I never ate the Musilex".

Get it? You may not outright attack someone, but you do goad people into anger. You will make a comment that is antagonistic in nature then act surprised when someone shoots something back. In my dealings with you I find that you side-step issues and instead focus on something irrelevent and often carry that tangent for a good 4-5 posts. If I never had to deal with you I would be happy. I am not sad that you and I will never be friends, nor does it bother me that several people will defend you to the death (especially 1-2 of those people that share the same contempt for me that you do).

I find it those people are usually the ones that state they have some kind of inner connection to all that is spiritual while the rest of us are narrow-minded idiots that somehow stumbled on all that is esoteric. Mirandee is right, we are here for a reason at LindaLand and while I may not be into "immortality or cellular regeneration" I do not discount those that hold those beliefs. In the same respect, I do not appreciate my beliefs being ridiculed in the way of Christianity (or other esoteric diciplines such as dreams, astrology, tarot and shamanism.

In the case of you and I, we will have to agree to disagree and realize that we will never like each other and go on.

I've never called for ANYONE to be booted from this site, not ever. When it appears that that's my motive, it's not. My actual motive is to make those people think about why they're here, and what they're contributing. If they aren't contributing, or if their contribution seems to be an effort to convert people to a way of thinking then I want to let those people know that they aren't converting anyone.

Jwhop's not finding future conservatives here, and he's not presenting conservatism in a way that's likely to convert anyone, so we can assume he's just here to stir the pot and see who he can bully into submission. I know from his absence that it's really no fun at all without him here, so by all means he should keep doing what he's doing (even if just for my own entertainment).

I'm not saying that the people should never talk about anything political, but this thint that either "people have to bring politics to the table or else", is something that I myself would never advise. Lots of time, I just don't even want to talk about anything political, most times lately, I just like to talk about things that might have more of a lighter note to things that don't have anything to do with politics, but this is my choice, if I so choose.

This might be the reason why alot of people around here are not understanding me, sometimes I just get so sick of the politics. I guess that you say it is to due to the fact with all the fighting that is going on in the world today, maybe it is time to hand out the olive branch every once in a while and take that grasp on thyself, for this is something that I have noticed that I was missing around two years ago. Do I talk about politics still? Sometimes, but I rather do it in a way that I state my piece and leave it at that, I feel that it is the best way to go about it...for me.

So, if you think that I'm in the left field, maybe it is because when your so distracted into the fighting of who is right and who is wrong, clearly any derivative will seem "off base"!

YOU posted that picture - regardless if you pain-stakingly perverted that pic or not YOU posted it. Again, I will go with an analogy. If I came into my office with an e-mail from a friend that contained an highly offensive racial joke and proceeded to read that to my friend. WHO do you think would be responsible? Is it the friend that sent it to me or is it ME? Legally, it would fall on my shoulders because I chose not to use discretion nor good judgment when reading from the e-mail. In fact, LEGALLY I would be held accountable as I had endorsed the e-mail / joke by reading it.

Working in mainstream America we are forced to take sexual harassment, discrimination and hostile work environment classes. The rule of thumb is "If you pass it on, post it or read from it" you are therby endorsing it.

Saying you are just "Posting what you find" or "Letting people know what someone else says" IS an endorsement that you need to take responsbility for when you put it out there.

IN SHORT RAINBOW - To post something is to endorse it.

IF you can't see that, then I am very sorry for you and the fact that you are unable and unwilling act in a responsible fashion.

He has put you in your place more than a few times indicating that you are lacking in intelligence, that you don't get the point etc... You two have exchanged some very heated remarks BUT, I have noticed that you try to be nicer to him especially with all the crap that is going on between me and You. Maybe you should take a look at the exchanges without your rose colored glasses on.

And for the record - I NEVER said you were going to hell. That is not my call nor would I ever be so high and mighty as to think I was better than another to make that judgment. I also don't have to go into my spiritual relationship with God in order to justify my beliefs.

It's true that sometimes when I post something, it IS an endorsement.....but not always....

There are times when

Yes, to post something is to endorse it. YOU may not think so but that is what is taught to most businesses, government employees and schools by certified attorneys during our mandatory harassment, discrimination etc.. training.

YOU obviously are not aware of such laws and regulations (most likly because you are not in the working force anymore due to retirement or otherwise). So YOU are ignorant to the rules.

NO, I did NOT make them up. That would be stupid. The e-mail situation I told you about was a real case that took place here in our county. In Mesa several people were fired for forwarding a "fun" e-mail that contained content deemed offensive by others. See, the rule is, if you send it you endorse it. If you post it you endorse it, if you say it you endorse it.

Repeating a story does not get you off the hook.

I am tired of beating a dead horse Rainbow. This is why I don't like you, this is why I can't stand to even get into a conversation with you because of this immaturity.

No one knows what Jesus looked liked anyway. All the icons and paintings of him have him looking different. Sometimes he is pictured as black. I don't like the ones of him with blue eyes because Jesus was Jewish.

My favorite portrait of Jesus is the laughing Jesus. I love that one. Because I do think that Jesus laughed just as we do. I mean just looking around at us and seeing some of the things we do and listening to some of the things we say must have given Jesus a big laugh. I think he loves to hear our laughter too. The most wonderful sound in the world is that of a baby laughing. It instantly makes us laugh too.
