Wow! Very interesting string. ------------------ "Life is like a box of crayons. Most people are the 8-color boxes, but what you're really looking for are the 64-color boxes with the sharpeners on the back. I fancy myself to be a 64-color box, though I've got a few missing. It's okay though, because I've got some more vibrant colors like periwinkle at my disposal. I have a bit of a problem though in that I can only meet the 8-color boxes. Does anyone else have that problem? I mean there are so many different colors of life, of feeling, of articulation...so when I meet someone who's an 8-color type...I'm like, 'hey girl, magenta!' and she's like, 'oh, you mean purple!' and she goes off on her purple thing, and I'm like, 'no - I want magenta!'" -John Mayer IP: Logged |

I love it It's a good transitional place before Portland. I'm kind of fed up with CA though. Outrageous rent, and people are flaky more here than anywhere else I've lived. Anyway, I'll put up some pics later. We're living a few short blocks from the beach - what used to be Neptune Beach. IP: Logged |

Always wanted to go to the French Quarter. I'm fascinated by Louisana. If a movie is set there, I always go see it, even if I don't like the subject matter. When did you go there? My brother lived in Portland before San Fran, he really liked it. The music scene drew him there, but he was disappointed to see that his favorite Grunge artists were playing in Coffee shops. He was a little late to become a rock star. IP: Logged |

Oooh, I love New Orleans too, Gypsee! I used to live there. I've actually lived there twice, both times at 2-year stints. I always miss it We recently went around the end of September for only 3 days on the way back from seeing my family in Jupiter, FL. Not enough time to soak it all in, we only stayed in the quarter and next time we'll stay in the Garden District where I used to live, along with the Irish Channel. I'm going to post up some more French Q New Orleans pics later that I think you'll . Portland is cool. MUCH more affordable than North CA. Small business-friendly. Yeah there's rain but there's actually a warm summer season too ...I can't help it, I love moving!!! I like the layout of Portland because it's residential and city mixed together, lots of cool little pockets to live in and explore.

I look forward to the pics!If I move to Alabama, I'll be very close, since the area I'm looking at is by The Gulf. Should only be a 4/5 hour drive I think. Are you familiar with the music of Shawn Mullins?? I've loved him for so long. He's from Portland, and many of his songs are about Portland, its people/neighborhoods. He had a big hit in the 90's with a song called, 'lullabye'. I guess he toured for years, but now he's back in the Portland coffee shops. If you ever see an ad for him, go see him, he's the shizz! Lemme find you some links, for when you are bored. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4NyxrveJYcc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxph73pXA78&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-z2818Kpbw&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KsPusehEd30&feature=related I better stop, I could go on and on, I love this dude!!
