My dad is big into Kate Bush. I think Megadeth basically blows chunks when it comes to singing.. And yeah, that's a bunch of Radiohead.

AG, yeah, I love Fiona Apple's lyrics. That's what hooked me on her.

Snohawk....lol. That's the only Megadeath song I like. I rather enjoy the chunk-blowing voice in this one

Good Girl - Glad you liked it! I start to get all teary and bawl my head off when I listen to Oum Kalthoum. Apparently this is normal in Egypt, and she seems to have that reaction a lot. It's weird.

Well, I am ******* exhausted. I am seriously ****** off too. I'm happy to FINALLY be starting my own website/business for my own readings. I really need to - the place I currently read through gets a lot of traffic, but charged 45% of what I make!!!! Can you believe it?! Well, anyway, so it sucks and I am kind of at a point when I am ready to keep my own money from readings that I do. I may not have a lot of traffic initially, but I intend to give it about a year to see what happens.

I am tired of people asking for readings about if they are pregnant. I also write on my work page that I do NOT do medical readings of ANY kind. I also tell these people to go and buy a pregnancy kit. Seriously, people, how hard is it? I charge anywhere from 3-4 dollars A MINUTE. Trust me, it's cheaper to run to the store and pick up a kit. And yet clients act all insulted when I tell them this. Like I've told them to go lick a lightbulb or something.

Then I have the reads where people who are in school ask me how they will do in school for the semester. UGH! Instead of asking me, DO YOUR HOMEWORK! LOL.

I'd do horary if I was better at it, but that's just not my focus.

One of the things that bugs me about the site I work through is that people get to leave ratings for every reading you do. Don't get me wrong, I'm a 5-star reader. But sometimes it's like having to walk eggshells. I don't like to sugarcoat my reads but the level of gentleness can really be challenging sometimes. I don't let anyone hire me until I feel I've made a connection with their situation, and 9/10 I know the rating will be good - because I take the effort to make sure I can connect to them.
But still. Sometimes, my clients need to have sense knocked into them, and there's nothing less predictable than an emotional client who is going to rate based on what they want to hear instead of the honest vision. No matter how nice you are, and forthcoming, they will hate you if you give them negative news. And that's a bite on my ass. Because it feels like I am not always able to be as honest as I want since my ratings are being compromised potentially. And people DO hire on the site I work for according to pages upon pages of 5-star feedback.

SOmetimes I get clients who need a firm shake out of their state - they come back again and again. At that point, I tell them not to hire and then just try and smack some sense into them. If they don't hire, they can't leave feedback. I don't like to have client too dependent on me - they get a grace period of help, and then they can't keep asking the same question with me, because I don't allow co-dependent behavior. It's gotten a lot of my clients out of terrible relationships and feeling better about themselves, but sometimes, I swear, I just want to yell my head off that I can't have someone hire me while I feel free enough to give my reads out of fear of the ratings. I hate that I give my toughest advice off the clock.

Hence, my new site. I really hope it does well. I just need the freedom, and clients who actually want the kind of reads I offer, not ones who maybe want to try me out just because I might give them blanket words. I can't stress the point of free will enough in my reads. For every action there is a consequence. That's the 'catch' with free will. Most of the time that's all we;re asking about - how our own or other people's free will effect us. But it always does...and it only runs through my hands momentarily, before running through the hands of the universe, which obviously has its own will....

At any rate, sorry for the rant....I'm just totally aggravated today

Do you know how to design websites? I've got some that are coming up for renewal, and while I haven't spoken with anyone about this yet I would like to explore getting a team together if people are interested. The sites are currently dormant. I have one thing posted on one page of one site, and that's it.

AG, I don't do the design myself, just come up with the design concept/lay out/copy for it, and I've gotten really lucky since my sister's husband does the design. He does some jaw-droppingly (that's not a word!) good stuff. My sister does the coding.
Most of the web design people I know are in Cairo, from when I briefly worked in advertising as a copywriter, and did some branding work.

You have a few websites that need renewing? Elaborate, please....you'd like to get a team of designers and start a company? Or maybe I'm not clear....

I figured I'd wait until I got home to answer you. Little did I know that LL wouldn't be available.

I have some domains. Same primary name with different suffixes. That's the right word, right (.com .net .org etc.)?

I got the sites with an idea in mind, but I'm thinking about assembling a team more for the purpose of actually doing something with the site rather than doing nothing. I don't know that I have the follow through to do everything, and it would be handy to have the help of people familiar with managing sites.

I could tell you all my ideas by email if you like.

A Rant?? It's so good to hear a little venting from you...you're usually such a cheerleader to the rest of us (bless your heart)...I am still wearing the smile on my face from reading your post.Fiesty girl!!

So my head is spinning: are you doing astrology readings? Or did you mean tarot? I'll have to go back a few pages on your thread, maybe you've already specified. In any case: CONGADULATIONS! Is it a public site, are you going to post a link to it?
Sounds exciting, I'm envious

So.. You've got a website for astrological readings, now? That's crazy!
Congratulations, and no, I don't think that sounds very harsh at all. And I sympathize when you talk about the ratings that blows.

funny about the Megadeth, unfortunately, I do not have internet sufficient to leisurely view the song, so I can't agree or disagree with you. However, where I'm coming from with my opinion on the singer, is from their playing of Paranoid originally composed by Black Sabbath. I think it sucks how fast they play it, aswell, however, The sucky singing is just more prominent because Black Sabbath *got together again* with Osbourne to play a concert or something and I heard it's album's version of Paranoid, and it was pretty much the same in the way of playing to fast, just the singing wasn't as bad. It can be judged however, that the original version of Paranoid was sung rather choppily. Despite this, I still like it, at least above all other versions, and still as a song relative to other songs. I imagine you're not that interested, so, I'll stop here, before I stress you out more, in so far that is still possible after writing this at all.

AG - Let me know when you're around, I'll give you my email. Yeah, I'd like to hear your ideas!

Leaping - I need to IM you...sorry I've not been around

Snohawk - Well, I concur. I don't think I'd dig on a sped-up Sabbath song, especially Paranoid. I've always been a fan of their stuff.

Good Girl - Oh yeah, I rant my head off sometimes My 5th house and Jupiter 10th doesn't show it (bouncy bouncy bouncy!) because I always try to be optimistic, but MAN, when I get ****** off, I can go on forever about how irritated I am

And thanks! Yes, it'll be tarot/empathic reads, but no strong focus on astrology. It'll also include past life reports, and some astrology (not much though) goes into those. The past life reports are fun to do because it's like travel to another world....I looooove doing them! I also like to integrate them with some practicality - life lessons, gifts, etc., and how they carry over into this life, and what to do with them. I'm still fine-tuning it a little bit, looking into what to include in there. I recently started using asteroids and draconic - and WOW, it works! I had a thread on astro2 where I was asking IQ about medical asteroids because I had a client who I did the past life read for, and I kept seeing a bunch of lives caught up in studying medicine. I checked his medical asteroids....and whaddya know? And then after I finished the report, he told me that he was actually doing an internship for internal medicine and hadn't been sure about it until now. So the asteroids have gained some importance for me...nothing like proof to make you reconsider, you know?

Yeah, that's what I was saying is I don't like the crappy singing OR the fast playing EITHER. They happen to be my favourite band.

And congratulations on the website again. Sounds cool about the past life reading thing, how does it work? I can't conceive your resource to assuredly declare. How are you sure what someone's "past life" is? How do you know, is what I mean. I'm definitely interested in this. Your saying astrology comes into it makes me doubtful of it, though, unless you meant the theory of progressing through the signs and "passing" you lives. Why I'm doubtful, and what I suspect you DO mean, is predictions based on astrological natal charts or something like that. My mom went to some website and got a sheet of a bunch of stuff on what people with her aspects were told their past lives were by Edward Cayce (if that's his name), but that, obviously, isn't definite, and I think is just the stupidest thing.

Wow, my username is my email without the webaddress (.com etc.), and by reflex I typed my whole email address instead of my username, but luckily enough, when I pressed back the text was kept. That would have been a pain in the ass.

Sure thing, AG - I'll drop you an email.

Snohawk....WHOA, there
No, i don't do predictions on past lives - I basically take a snapshot of someone and see stuff. It usually resonates with them. The asteroid thing is from the natal chart - so kind of as a backup, if I am seeing a kind of pattern in a past life, I check the asteroids connected to it, and go from there. But there are no predictions with the astrology. I just don't know enough about it to do that anyway.

Like I said, it's just fine-tuning now.

I'm not into Edward Cayce or anyone like that. I just don't connect to that stuff. I'm too much of a skeptic (I know it's kind of weird to say, considering my work - but I am a HUGE skeptic in general).
I just kind of do the reading and see the pictures/movie, and just write it out. It's pretty detailed, and interesting to do. Do I believe in past lives? I don't know. I just know what I see. I'm not 100% anything really... Again, I lean toward skepticism a lot of the time, because I tend to see/sense a lot and it's overwhelming. Mostly I just go with what I get and trust the inner voice, and it's right. If it's not, at least I tried my best. I do no more and no less than my best though.

I 'know' (whatever that term means) that it's past life when I see all the old garbs/cities/etc. But you know what? Most of the time what I am seeing is 'now', and present tense. 9/10 what I describe in relation to past life has gone in the person's life and they're working through it. So, who knows? Maybe these past lives are just present tense in the garbs of yesterday, you know? Who I am to be absolutely sure?

I kind of like that there are no definite answers, just a bunch of options.
It's odd about the esoteric stuff - the more I get into it, the more ordinary it seems. Very, very ordinary.

What, so your like a psychic theorist? You look at someone's picture and guess what past lives of theirs were? Sounds pretty crude. I'm really skeptical about everything too.

I got it, Leaping. I'll call you!!!

Snohawk, if you call using intuition 'guessing', then I suppose that's what it is lol. But I don't really consider developing intuition and using it consistently something as crude as guessing; that's just way too random.

I'm a Rooster, which is equivalent to Virgo, so you can credit that for my skepticism, as I have not Virgo besides an 11th house cusp. Oh, well, and Venus in the 6th house in Aries.

Well yes, perhaps not AS crude, but somehting I could do myself, and thus have little need to got to you for. It's not like you have some authority as to what is so more so than anyone else, is what I mean.

I'm coming at this harsh, just because you're using it as a service. I'd be happy to casually share predictive elaborations about each other casually. I don't mean this personally lol, but theoretically.

So what do you consider 'authority' on this, Snohawk? What makes someone an authority on such a thing, or anything?
I use my gifts as a service because I've been reading for 15 years, so experience does count for something here. I guess that's the authority thing. I would never have even dreamed of doing this as a job say, 10 years ago, even though it was five years of experience then. I just did free readings (and still do, by the way, when I have time). And then over the past ten years it became a focus, so a lot of my energy went into learning.

And I'm certainly not asking you to be a client

Any way....I think it's about doing something for long enough to feel confident about it. Like with any job....you do it long enough, learn enough about it, and you start to find out more. You become an authority when you've amassed enough experience to hopefully call yourself competent to an extent.

I don't see your boasts (being able to find someone's past lives) as dependable. I wouldn't see anyone as authority for this, as I AM a skeptical person, and hence. The reason I might pay someone to do this kind of thing would be out of curiosity of their extent and ability, as they are only human as me, I don't see why I should look up to them as an "almighty resource". I confess, I would be prone to dreaming of praise of my self or something like that, but logically, knowing you, I don't see you as someone with that ability. Not to say I think you'd make a poor psychic, or thing I know you or something like that, but I do both to the extent of relevance.

The thing is *I* don't feel confident about it, and it's my money.

And yes I understand you are not attempting to solicitous to have me sign up for this :P I'm just talking.

I've never boasted.
And you don't know me, snohawk....logically. Your motivations for getting a reading sound like they aren't personal for you at all. Besides, my focus isn't past life reads at the moment, I mainly do regular reads with tarot and empathic.

Again, you don't know me at all.
