Hey girl, I've been meaning to pop in here for a while to see how you're doing- it seems like maybe we've been juggling the same flaming chainsaws lately. How's the weather in your woods' neck?

If I had a picture of you, I would have (crudely) photoshopped your head over Mariah's here, but I'll use my imagination.

My Mars in the 5th is acting up again...

I have such a craving for a man like Dwayne Johnson (aka The Rock, lol). A real big, strong alpha-male - a cop/police detective, CIA agent, former football player - with basketball palming hands. Are men even made like that anymore? When did men stop caring about their bodies? lol!

Guess I'll buy some new earrings instead...

Actually I need to stop doing that, indulging in retail therapy. I have been spending like there is no tomorrow...

Hey Aerial - I have been feeling pretty crappy. I am not liking grad school at all and I am starting to feel lonely. I used to be able to hide behind school and now, I just want to love and be loved ...

I am really feeling all Venus-ed up. I have been buying all of these clothes and beauty products - I mean, I just took this whitening mouthpiece thing out of my mouth a few minutes ago and I am thinking about scuffing my lips in a few minutes. I haven't felt like this in years...

How are your saws holding up?

Aww Mars, I think you're ready for lurrve. Are there no hotties in grad school? Not a one?

Hey, have you ever tried one of those toothbrushes I keep hearing about, that vibrate your teeth white? They're quite expensive but I hear they're good.

I think we could be friends in real life because we don't fancy the same men!! hehe

What's up with grad school, lady? Boring, intense, time consuming, hard, all of the above? What do you study, if you don't mind my asking? I've been having some trouble getting my butt to school as well lately, and I couldn't even tell you why exactly. I've just been so super neurotic lately that it's hard for me to focus, maybe.

Have you ever tried online dating? I know, I know- but I actually met BD online (okcupid), and he's an attractive muscley spiritual man who takes impeccable care of his bod; not the type I ever imagined would be dating online, but there he was! A good friend of mine goes on internet dates in NYC all the time, and she's met a lot of interesting people. You never know! At the very least you'll get to show off those new earrings, right?

¡BLECH!

I feel like such a whining baby over here! I just need to calm down, things will happen when they are meant to happen.

Thanks for the encouragement Wheels and Aerial! I actually do know quite a few people who have met people online and have gotten married. I tried the online thing years ago, literally 10 years ago (when I was all about the free meal and movie!) and it wasn't good. I think that all celeb stalkers and groupies should try online dating so they can see how thinking someone is cute, and even talking to them, doesn't always equal chemistry in person. I think that if it is going to happen, for me anyway, it would be a chance meeting or encounter. I just need to do something different. Or not. I don't know!

As for grad school...It just sucks. It isn't hard or intense really, I just don't feel like putting in the effort. It is how I felt when I first started college at 18...and dropped out at 19. It is funny because Saturn is going to be going through my 9th house soon and my return will be over. I think my best bet right now is to focus on getting a job. I will continue grad school, but I'll take less credits.

I actually, finally, applied for teaching certification in NJ. I applied for teaching high school psychology and I paid to take the Praxis test in November so I can teach K-5. That was actually my last resort plan but desperate times. That is what I mean by "chasing the dream vs. reality" confusion in my life...

See Wheels, I'd have a field day with the brawny guys who carry our bags!

HI DTM;

Popping in to check on you. Maybe not a dating service, but how about Facebook? Are you there? I've seen alot of people getting together that way, and usually someone in your group knows them and can vouch for them, so they arent a complete stranger.
Just a thought.
Sorry your feeling yucky.
But it is October and well, you are going to be dressing as a Godess still, Yes? That should turn the heads of some Gods I would think!

*makes me all nostaglic when you mention N.J., it may be considered America's armpit, but you know, it's home to me.

I finally got rid of the excess books!!! I only kept the astrology books, the Kennedy books, the cookbooks and the body image books. Plus a few race relations books. I donated 94 in total - not too bad! Mailed them out today, yay! Now I have to get rid of some other stuff - some VHS tapes, a glide rocker (with ottoman) and an exercise bike and I am sure there is more. I have so much crap! I bought a few more closet organization tools too: Shoes Under, Wonder Hangers and a scarf organizer. I hope it helps! There is only one box under the bed!

Eh, I am not going to force the dating thing. Sometimes I get impatient but when things are meant to happen they will happen.

New Jersey...who knows? I might relocate!

I really, really need to purge too.

I mean, seriously, I have to push my closet door shut, and I can't have all my laundry done at once, because it wouldn't fit in the drawers and closet.

Books,Dvd, movies, and cds are ssooooo hhhaaarrrrdd to get rid of. Whenever I do this, I find an interest in one of them later and get mad when I have to re-buy it!

Sunday is our library book sale. All you can carry for one dollar.
Err, maybe I'll purge come spring. <:

I miss you. Been thinking of you for a few days now. How have you been? Are your studies keeping you from us?

How about the love life, anything interesting???

If you don't reply, I wish you a very Merry Christmas, and joyous New Year.

Hey Gypsee, how is everything with you?!

Hey Wheels! Is Wheels still out there?

Wow –

I can’t believe it has been over a year since I posted on the board. I was really, really busy and just crazily preoccupied with grad school stuff. Sorry I just dropped out of sight like a jerk (I am working on that actually). Well, I graduated in December (woo hoo!) and here I am. I didn’t realize how much time it would take up because I took such Mickey Mouse courses in the first semester but it was insane. Plus, I am actually going for another masters in the summer time so that should be fun. The forum has been popping up a lot lately though, especially since I have been googling synastry stuff like crazy. Yes, synastry stuff. I know that I said I’d NEVER, EVER do a synastry chart until I was years deep into a relationship…well, what can I say. I guess it is that Mercury-square-Uranus, Aquarius rising habit I have of talking crap and playing devil’s advocate. Yes, I have met some men this past year…”some men”, lol, TWO whole men! I thought I would share my experiences and point out the astrological stuff, synastry and stereotypes…I have actually used my thread as a love-writing journal anyway, so why stop now?

I’ll start with this: Kids!!! I have been hanging around kids a lot lately. This past summer I have been taking them everywhere – to the fair, bowling, shopping – and playing games with them. They are awesome! They are so much fun and they are so funny. I mean, I have always liked kids but now they are making my ovaries ache…

More rambling and babbling to come soon!

Okay, so I spent the entire weekend posting on LindaLand...I almost forgot about this thread (even though I usually refer people here)!

It has been a long two years, I even reverted back (redundant?) to Placidus...

What's up everyone?

I was going to post this in the “Moon/Pluto” thread but it is too personal for that so…

Buckle up: Long story warning…

When I was about 14 I was watching the Montel Williams Show and the guest was Sylvia Browne. Remember her? The psychic/medium that would visit the show and people would ask her stuff she’d give her advice based on what she picked up or based on what a relative who passed is saying? Anyway, a very attractive brunette woman stood up and she said “All of the women in my family have the worst luck with men. They have either been married and divorced many times or they are single moms with deadbeat boyfriends….” Hearing this made me perk up because that sounds a lot like the women in my family – either married 2 or 3 times or a single mom, really lacking in functional relationships, especially the generation before mine. Sylvia Browne said to the woman “There is a long line of depression among the women on your mother’s side of the family and that has affected their relationships…” Well, you know how Oprah talks about “A-ha moments” well, I had one at that very moment, at age 14. The women in my family were miserable – they had low self-esteem or their self-esteem was unnecessarily too high and all of them had depression at varying degrees. I think this depression is what my Moon/Pluto is all about.

...ask again later...

Wow, you really get detailed.
