Aries Mars.....

My natural anger is the flashpan sort of stuff....I have a horrendous temper. Its in the 3rd so most of the time it comes out in words, but sometimes....especially when I was younger (like with my siblings), it got physical.

Its squared by Saturn and Uranus so its kind of on and off.....there are some places where I feel I have to repress it (saturn) and that doesn't go well with Uranus or the aries mars so it comes out in another less pretty way.

Mars in Virgo conjunct Venus and sitting on my ASC. I can get vicious. I'm not usually physical, but once I reach a certain point my words are absolutely ruthless.

Expressing anger has a lot more to do with the chart than just a Mars placement.

I have Mars Libra but my anger can erupt all of a sudden just like a crazed Aquarius because I have Sun (chart ruler) square Uranus, plus Mercury in Aquarius (think the lovely lil outburst from Christian Bale a while back on set).

It can be very dramatic too, with my Leo rising, and be over in 15 minutes flat, because fire signs like to get the energy out real quick and then move on to something more interesting!

Or it can be a horrible silence that invades the room where it makes everyone uncomfortable and afraid to say one word to me, that would be due to the angular Pluto that is square my Moon, plus Sun in H8. Alternatively the Pluto side of me will if in verbal mode point out everything that everyone is hiding in the most vicious manner.

My lil cute Libra Mars all by her lonesome likes to express energy in Libra activities: dancing, numerous artistic endeavors (Libra Mars is great for creative energy, I also have Leo AC and Pisces Sun so arts is a given), flirting like there's no tomorrow, making sure I look better than my "enemy" since good looks in the Libra mind will win the day, and turning any debate into a friendly "argument" by deliberately taking the opposite side, because Libra is all about "on the other hand."

See?

I see the struggle I am having with the Virgo Mars friend.
His anger comes out as caustic words. Sometimes words can go too far and the relationship is over.
Words are very powerful to someone with a Gemini stellium. Ami

quote:
If i didn't believe in god and karma i'd express my anger by killing people. In fact i wish i could go round doing it. People that cut down palm trees and kill adult orangatangs and sell their youngsters as pets for example - just for palm oil. I wouldn't even think tiwce about killing people like that. It would be a job i would get up very early for, and go home late. In fact i'd torture them first. and i'd do it all for free. I'd also kill my dad and m,illions of other people - more than Hitler in fact.
BUT because i understand spiritually that it would be counter-productive to express anger that way - i bury it deep down inside so it makes me ill and comes out in different ways. That's life.
People say 2 wrongs don't make a right. But hey if it saved cute animals i'd see that as reason enough to do it.
Mars in Scorpio. I got more and more angry as i wrote that even.

OMG! LMAO!!

For me, it depends on what the provocation is. I react differently to different things.

I'm pretty much a combo of everything everyone has said. In fact, I think everyone is, depending on what the offense is -- everyone has a breaking point where they can become violent if they don't control themselves. Everyone. The difference lies in the person's threshold of their breaking point. Some people's is too low and they goa round beating people up for little reason. Some people will never get to their breaking point, because their breaking point never happens to them -- like their child being molested, for example. But make no mistake -- everyone is capable of anything at any time for any reason if you hit their sweet spot.

Since I am all of them, I really don't feel like breaking it down and explaining. I think maturity has a lot to do with how anger is expressed, too.

I just had my chart done at Astrodient --Liz Greene with my new Ascendent(Scorpio)
It said that I must accept my primal nature IF I am to be the best person I can be.
I try to be too "good" so for me to write about my deep passions would be mature--not immature. KWIM?

Yes, my friendship with the Mars Virgo guy just ended for the same thing.
Thank God,it didn't develop in to something like marriage before I figured it out LOL
I got out in a fortunate way and I will always be grateful for that.
Things have a way of working out as they should if you trust God and hang on for the ride. Ami

I don`t express my anger.
Half of the time I don`t even know I am angry.

The only time I really get angry is if I feel there is injustice being done to others and I feel powerless to help them.
It`s easier to fight for an ideal or for other people.

BTW I think I have a lot of anger inside of me, I just don`t have good access to it.

Mars in Sagittarius in 12th house conjunct Neptune (5 degree) on the ASC.

DD, is that cuz Mars is in 12th house and the 12th house is a hidden house?
Also, would part of the reason be that is was conjunct Neptune?
Wouldn't a Sag Mars be an outspoken Mars? Ami

Oh I can be outspoken, but first someone else has to take my Neptune / 12th house for a while. If my Mars is "freed" from the Neptunian influence, it can actually be rather blunt.
But under normal conditions it`s like trying to make a fire under water.

Mars rules my 4th house, which is also a "hidden" house, so my anger is very much under the surface.

Actually, it comes up now and then if the pressure gets too high, and people are rather surprised.

Mars in Sagittarius...(2nd house here)

I express my anger in many different ways... going for a long walk, jog, writing, shouting, crying, and yes being outspoken... sometimes a little self-righteously so.

I scream a lot,cry loudly and speaking a high voice..When I was a little child I bite my friends when they anger me..Many people know me as high temper..(aries moon.)
Mars and moon relation is important I think also..
But if you ask the most is which one Crying..I cry when I feel nervous,anger,sad..
5 min later I laugh with big smiles,so everyone shocks

Dear Chang, Why does your Mars express itself in that way--cuz ist house and conjunct Ascendent.
A Sag Mars would not be "wild" like that--would it?

Ami Ann,

the houses cycle reflects the movement of the Sun at one day (just as the zodiac relates to the movement of the Sun during one year).

The ASC relates to sunrise, the DESC relates to sunset.
The Midheaven relates to noon, when the Sun is highest at the sky (that is the reason this is the most visible house of all) and the IC / 4th house actually relates to midnight.
Actually when the Sun reaches IC (Or any othe rplanet), it is on the other side of the earth, as it is night on our half, and you can`t see too clearly.

Another test is: Just think about what feelings midnight trigger, what athmosphere as opposed to Midday.
How many people are with you at an usual midnight to share this time with you? Would you pick the same people you share your Noon with?
Or would you pick more carefully? Only these people who are close to you`?
FAmily, lovers?
Or is your businesspartner with you in your home at midnight (I am n ot talking about parties!)?

Have you ever had a conversation at night?
Ever felt how it got more intimate, more personal than the smalltalk you had at Noon?

The 4th house is deeply personal; it is the house where you are very much yourself, but so deeply, so personally, that you will not share this with everyone. Only a selection of people will get access there.
Actually it is so deep that sometimes you will not even be aware of some of the things happening there; but that is different for everyone. It depends how deeply you are prepared to look at yourself.

Last July/early August - around the time of the eclipses - I broke something in anger, for the first time in my 34 years. Diana reminded me of this, with her post.

I had been a ball of anxiety all month - after feeling perfectly content in June. Nothing was helping me to relax, and I finally snapped one night, when a member of my family got angry (lacking sleep), and kept yelling at me, blaming me for something. That, on top of the anxiety/upset I'd been feeling, had me reaching for the mop that was in the bathroom with me (I'd been taking a bath), and smashing it against the door, until it broke. I surprised everyone (myself included). I wouldn't have hit anyone - I never want to hurt someone (wounding them verbally is bad enough, and whilst it's a rare thing for me to be mean - deliberately - I have been there).

My mother has Mars conjunct Pluto in Leo, trine her Sun, and I stopped her from breaking something, a couple of years ago. (I put my hand to hers, and said, "Don't! You'll regret it!")

I also cry... one member of my family has looked down on me for that, in the past: "Oh, you always do that." I don't see a problem with it, except when I feel pathetic with it - yelling upsets me. Then there was the time of the Taurus New Moon, last year, when someone told me they wanted to punch me in the nose, and I said, "Go ahead!" I just wanted to get it over with, at that point. Lucky for me, they gave me a surprised look and stalked off.

Thank (((DD))) and ((((Chang)))

DD
Is that why they say if you have planets on the lower half of the chart, you are more introspective and if you have them on the upper half you are more extroverted or are you talking about the house numbers in general?
Thanks so much, Ami

The member of my family who looked down on me, has Mars in Sag. I have Mars in Pisces.

*edit. I missed chang's post above. the member of my family, was also a physical fighter, when she was younger - aggressive. Mars squares her ascendant, whereas my Mars trines mine. I'm usually the one acting in a more mature manner, when I argue (95% of the time), so I'm surprised at my own reactions, over the past year or so. When I was feeling grouchy, yesterday, I warned anyone coming into contact with me that I wasn't in a good mood, and put them off talking to me, until my mood improved (a little after 4pm).

After the mop-breaking incident above, I made sure to remove myself from everything that was stressing me out (that I could avoid). (I've been so verbose, recently - I might come back and edit out my posts here... I feel weird for posting so much.)

Ami Ann,

yes, the lower half is the "night-half"; I wouldn`t call it the introvert-half though.
It is the half where you are faced with your own personality; only at the 7th house the others come into play.

So if a person has most planets in the lower half---how would they be?
If a person has most in the upper half -how would they be?
I have that now--in synastry. *I* am the upper half one. Thanks so much. Sorry for all the questions but I eat them up lol. Ami
