I looked at the synastry between me and my husband and found a DW of 1st and 4th house rulers.

his 4th house ruler conjunct my 1st house ruler
his 1st house ruler conjunct my 4th house ruler

my first house ruler square his seventh house ruler.

ruler of his 8th and 7th conjunct my Eros

ruler of his 10th opp ruler of my 8th.

in thinking about our relationship these aspects do work.
1st conj 4th We feel comfortable together like at home and we share a home as well.

1st square 7th I don't have such a comfortable feeling about though, we have been married for about 11 years.

ruler of his seventh and 8th conjunct my Eros. He always said he is extreamly attracted to me and wants to be married to me you would not see this in the normal synastry but works with rulerships.

quote:
MY pattern:

7th house:

DESC in Gemini:
his Mars squares Mercury
his 1st house ruler squaring Mercury

With your DC in Gemini, communication can mean a lot for you. He has some Mercurian influence, and specially with his 1st house ruler so that it's relevant, thought the aspects are challenging, so his Mercurian side is challenging (but it still fits with your DC's expectations, although it would further depend on how his Mercurian side manifests).

quote:
Ruler of 7 in Sagittarius in 1:
Aries intercepted in 1st house (for my 7th ruler in 1)
Sun-Moon-MC conjunction in SAgittarius; 1st house ruler in Sagittarius; Mars ocnjunct Jupiter; ASC-ruler conjunct Jupiter

You might be interested in Sags? Or a sense of sharing beliefs/ideas/philosophy (being open minded) is a relevant trait you might want in a partner.
He has heavy Sag/Jupiter influence, and they are harmonious, so he should fit this pattern.

quote:
Ruler of 7 conjunct Sun:
Sun on the MC and conjunct Moon

Hmm someone whose ego/self-expression is relevant? He has Sun on the MC conjunct Moon so his Sun can be relevant and even manifests on his public side.

quote:
5th house:
Ruler of 5 in Capricorn in 1st house
ruler of 5 squaring Pluto:
his Sun and Moon in 10th house squaring Saturn
Aries intercepted in 1st house
(ruler of 2nd house squaring Pluto/ Mars, 1st house ruler, on the antiscia of Pluto)

The 5th ruler in Cap could mean interest in someone serious/responsible/structured, while it squares Pluto could mean someone who is intense, or even has some inner Plutonian conflicts. His Sun/Moon square Saturn can fit in the Saturine image, although being a square, it depends on how he deals with it to see if it manifests positively or negatively. Sometimes, people can seem ideal, yet the opposite when they manifests the negative traits (for example, I have Pisces DC and needs the positive Piscean traits, but can run away from those who manifests purely negative Piscean traits lool).
But it seems that he might lack the Plutonian traits.

quote:
8th house:
ruler of 8th house in Aquarius in 2nd house
Saturn in 8th house:
Sun and MOon in 10th house squaring Saturn
(Uranus exactly trine ASC, but probably minor; ruler of 2nd house in 11th house)
No Taurus or 2nd house placements

I'd think that Uranus trine AC can fit your 8th ruler being in Aqua. His Sun/Moon squaring Saturn can also fit your Saturn's interest (but then again, depends on how he manifests it).
He might not fit on the 2nd house/Taurus image thought.

quote:
HIS pattern:

7th house

Desc in Virgo:
Mercury conjunct Sun in 1st house

He might want a Mercurian partner, and you have a strong Mercury.

quote:
Ruler of 7th house in Sagittarius in 9th house:
Sun-Mercury-conjunction in Sagittarius; ASC in Sagittarius squaring Jupiter

Ruler of 7th house squaring Mars and Jupiter:
for Jupiter, look above
ASC conjunct Mars

Someone philosophical and open minded would be ideal for him, and you have a strong Sag/Jupiter influence.
But he also wants a fiery Martian partner. Is that your Mars/AC conjunction? If so, then you also fit this image as well.

quote:
Saturn and Pluto in 7th house:
my Venus in Capricorn squares Pluto; ruler of 2nd house in 8th house

oh intercepted ruler of 7th house in Capricorn in 11th house, squaring Pluto
my Venus in Capricorn square Pluto
Moon in Aquarius

You fit the Saturine and Plutonian traits he seeks in a relationship well! Although it can depend on how your square manifests.

quote:
5th house:

ruler of 5th house in Sagittarius in 10th house; conjunct Sun and MC, squaring Saturn:
my Venus in Capricorn
my stellium in SAgittarius
my Sun in 1st house

Interest in the Sag traits once more time. He can be quite self-expressive (5th ruler conjunct Sun/MC), if not limited by the Saturn square. Your elements here fits well. Cap Venus might not seem strongly Saturine enough, but can be something still.

quote:
8th house:

ruler of 8th house (Pluto) in Libra in 7th house, squaring Venus
my Venus in 1st house

ruler of 8th house (Mars) in Virgo in 6th house conjunct Jupiter and square Mercury
my Mercury in 1st house conjunct Sun
my SAgittarius Stellium

He might seek for a Venusian partner. Your Venus in the 1st could kinda fit it, but it depends on how strong it is in your chart.
On the other hand, he might also seek a.. workaholic? XP A routine, stable person that values reason, yet is open minded and has a board vision.
And then again, you have strong Sag and Mercury.

quote:
Uranus in 8th house:
my Aquarius-Moon

Your Aqua Moon can fit his 8th house Uranus image.

Hmm let me try it too:

My Pattern:

5th ruler:
- Saturn in Scorpio/3rd house;
- conjunct Sagittarius IC.

- he has Scorpio Sun in the 9th house;
- Scorpio Saturn/Pluto in the 8th house.
- Sag Mercury/Jupiter/Uranus/Neptune.

I want Scorpean traits plus communication, and I want to feel like home. Him being a Scorpio plus a bunch of Sag planets fits this image. Plus what's conjunct my IC is his Mercury, so it fit's the communication needs.

7th/8th rulers:
- Neptune in Cap/5th;
- Jupiter in Aqua/6th;
- Neptune trine Taurus Mars, Virgo AC, sextile Scorpio Pluto, square Aries Sun;
- Jupiter square Mars.

- he has Saturn trine Moon (his 5th ruler);
- Pisces AC/Moon;
- Virgo Mars square Neptune, Neptune trine Virgo DC and sextile Pluto;
- Scorpio Sun.

No Caps for me lol but I do look for mature/responsible/structured partner. With a touch of joy of course. XP His Saturn trine 5th ruler might kind of relate to this, although it might not be strong.
My 7th ruler in the 6th could indicate an interest for a responsible/workaholic/routine partner, which is actually very much his Virgo Mars lol.
My Neptune aspects can relate to his, and it screams for a Piscean partner. His Pisces AC/Moon fits this.
Lastly, my 7th ruler squares Mars, which can indicate a need for an active partner. He has 1st ruler (Neprune) square Mars thought, so it might fit.

------------------------------------------

His Chart:

5th ruler:
- Moon in Pisces 1st/house;
- Moon square Sag Jupiter and Sag Uranus, trine Saturn.

- I have Pisces DC;
- Aries Moon;
- Moon trine Uranus;
- Jupiter square Mars, Sag IC/Uranus;
- Saturn conjunct IC.

My Pisces DC can somehow relate to his Pisces Moon, and then my Aries Moon can kind of relate to his Moon being in the 1st house.
My Moon/Uranus aspect can relate to his.
I have Jupiter/Sag influence, although not sure if it exactly relates to his Moon/Jupiter aspect. Not sure about Saturn/IC relating to his Moon/Saturn aspect or not.

7th ruler:
- Mercury in Sag/9th house;
- Mars and Venus in the 7th;
- Mars square Neptune, sextile Mercury;
- Venus sextile Uranus.

- I have Sag IC/Uranus;
- I'm a packed Aries, with Mars trine AC/Neptune, sextile Pluto and square Jupiter;
- I have retro Venus conjunct Moon/Mercury and trine Uranus.

My Mars and Venus are very aspected in the chart, I have lots of Aries energy, and mild Sag.

8th ruler:
- Venus in Libra/7th house;
- Venus sextile Uranus.

- I have retro Aries Venus conjunct Moon/Mercury;
- Venus trine Uranus.

My Venus is very aspected, although I'm not sure if I can still match up with his supa dignified Venus lol. On the other hand, my Venus/Uranus aspect can kinda fit his.

Hmm maybe the fact that I was born in another country, and that I'm from a multi-racial/culture background fits his Sag/9th house image too?

Hi DD, I find you to be mind-blowing in your analysis of astrological charts! I am going to throw this out to you, please. I have 2 different relationships I have been going through for a while, and they are something I cannot shake. I was hoping you would be willing to provide me with your brilliance. Can I email you with our accurate birthdate data and you supply me with one of your natal/synastry interpretations? We may talk further via email, if you do not mind considering my request.
Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you!

Hi DD,
Yes, used only traditional rulerships since that's what it seemed you were looking at exclusively. I have 5/11 axis on 29scorpio/taurus45, and I used Mars for 5th in the anyalysis, in Koch those 2 show up as early sadge/gem ~ which is part of the reason I use koch because there seems to be less interceptions. What do you think? I mean, it comes into play for house rulership purposes.

Edit,
also, too, in the Identity Profile, could you add any planet conj the mc and dsc, with orb of about 3 deg? does that seem valid?

Comica,

thank you for doing this.
The guy is actually one performer again (no surprise here, I guess ), but I have met him two years ago and talked to him. And there was some strange energy to this talk. Something completely unexpected.
I still was pretty stunned when I saw this synastry and natal comparision.

"Do you feel that your self-expression is inspired by him?"
Yes, in a way. I was acting uncharacteristically spontaneious around him, which led me to offer him doing a horoscope for him. That is a kind of self-expression, isn`t it? lol

"His chore ego/emotions and public side, as well as his self-expression and identity fits the ideal of your relationship?"
Interesting that his public side is mentioned, which makes much sense, doesn`t it?
I do not know if he fits my ideal for a relationship, BUT there is something strikingly familiar and at the same time intriguing about him.
If we had met in different circumstances (as coworkers or in a circle of friends perhaps), I definitely would have been MAJORLY attracted to him.

There was another weird thing, too. I had seen him two times before on concerts, without REALLY taking notice of him - I was at these concerts because of other people, it just registered with me that he was "kinda nice and entertaining".
It was actually the moment I met him and talked to him, that I was feeling very much intrigued by him.
This surprised me. I would have surprised for my "liking of him" to diminish, as I know I tend to like "stage personas". So I was surprised that I actually liked him MORE off stage.

"Could indicate similar approach to the 8th house matters."
Judging from the aspect alone yes. But I have Saturn in 8th and he has Uranus there, so I guess the similiarity would be limited. lol
But my 8th house ruler is unaspected natally, so this trine is a nice nonthreatening aspect.

"It seems that you fit his image of an ideal commitment partner too."
You know that was what really surprised me!
I wasn`t THAT Surprised to find that he fit my "ideal type" in some way (there must be reasons to feel a certain affinity, even to actors), but that I fit into his relationship pattern DID surprise me a lot.
Of course this is just astrological potential, but I was still surprised. lol

"He feels comfortable for being intimate with you and the way you show your affections and express yourself, but your own sense of identity might challenge his 8th house issues."
Interestingly the squares is not seen as a negative in this kind of "system", which is based on "Transpersonal astrology" by Michael Roscher btw (the ONE astrologer who influenced me the most I guess), but just that it provides the energy to grab your attention. (the Uranian /cosmobiologists also believe that I think); the positive or negative connotation is more due to your level of expression as well as the planets interacting with each other and how they fit.

Now, even though I basically agree with this, I still feel the square holds a bit of tension. So you may be right.
The ruler of his 8th house is in Virgo (conjunct Jupiter); my ASC is in Sagittarius.

"Wow, so many NN aspects! He should have a big influence on your growth/life path, although with the squares, it could come as a challenge."
I like squares to the nodal axis, as they fall on the midpoint between both ends. But I guess you are right. Meeting him was a little bit of a "wake up call"; I donīt know exactly how he did, but he made me become aware that I am not only existing on a mental / spiritual sphere, but need to take part in my physical life, too. Sounds weird, no?

Comica (cont.)

"With your DC in Gemini, communication can mean a lot for you."
Yes, it does.

"hought the aspects are challenging, so his Mercurian side is challenging "
Actually it is extra strong due to the square aspect (trine or sextile would be less noteable), even though it is on the "sharp tongue-side", a very quick mind, easily distracted by any new thought coming into his mind and a bit of a weird, almost "puberty like" humour. He is actually a lot like me in that regard. Maybe even more. I NEVER before have met a man who talked more and even more quickly than me! LOL

"You might be interested in Sags?"
Not usually. Even though the few guys who were interested in me curiously were Sagittarians! I just never reciprocated their interest. Well, eventually they just got too clingy, they were acting more Cancerian or Scorpionic around me!
Especially the more I tried to keep my distance.
WEll, there was one other Sagittarius that I was interested in. We were playing a bit of a strange "game" during highschool days. We never really acted on our attraction to each other; instead it expressed itself in a form of verbal sparring, that apparently was a bit "tough", as we actually scared other people with it. They really thought we were hostile to each other, and it was just typical Sagittarian word-play. NOt very diplomatic. lol
Funnily this guy from highschool was also born on 19th december.

"r a sense of sharing beliefs/ideas/philosophy (being open minded) is a relevant trait you might want in a partner."
Yes of course. He must like "the Simpons" like me.
What I mean with that is - I like the Simpsons. Seriously, I LOVE philosophy, but please in a more lighthearted enthusiastic manner, not that brooding, glooming kind.

"Hmm someone whose ego/self-expression is relevant?"
Maybe that is the reason I take so easily notice of performers? ruler of 7th ocnjunct Sun = performers?

"The 5th ruler in Cap could mean interest in someone serious/responsible/structured, while it squares Pluto could mean someone who is intense, or even has some inner Plutonian conflicts."
Yes, The Saturn-Pluto mix is definitely an important one, along with the Jupiter-

" His Sun/Moon square Saturn can fit in the Saturine image, although being a square, it depends on how he deals with it to see if it manifests positively or negatively."
Yes.
Well, his Saturn is in 7th house, so if I should risk a guess I would think he might project it onto his girlfriends, at least to a certain degree.

"But it seems that he might lack the Plutonian traits."
They are weaker than the other ones, yes. But he still has Mars on the antiscion of Pluto (antiscion / contrascion actually is a very intense aspect in my experience; some astrologer even say it is equal to a conjunction).

"He might not fit on the 2nd house/Taurus image thought."
No. He doesn`t have strong Venus, 2nd house or Taurus placements. He really "lacks" in that regard.
Our 2nd house rulers are very differently placed, too. His 2nd house ruler is in 11th house, mine is in 8th house. The only similiarity in this is the stubbornness of the fixed signs. lol

"He might want a Mercurian partner, and you have a strong Mercury."
Yes, M`am, I have.

Something that I found itneresting is that Neptune is very prominent in my "identity-houses": Mars in 12th house, Mars conjunct Neptune; Neptune conjunct ASC; ruler of 1st house in Pisces, squaring Neptune and so on. but that it is not mentioned in my relationship-needs. Not even once.
Seems, my Neptune is MINE and mine alone. lol
Maybe I should seek for a guy with Virgo ASC, so my Neptune can still his Piscean-needs. lol

"ars/AC conjunction? If so, then you also fit this image as well."
I believe that all planets conjunct ASC or Sun are extremely strong in a personality. Especially ASC, as this is such an individual factor in every chart.

It determines all houses and therefore all housserulers and hosueplacements.

"You fit the Saturine and Plutonian traits he seeks in a relationship well! Although it can depend on how your square manifests."
Mmh, Plutonic, I`d say.
I guess I am a woman full of contradictions with that Saturn/Pluto concerning my Venus and on the other hand the Jupiter/URanus/Neptune placements.

"Cap Venus might not seem strongly Saturine enough, but can be something still."
I think the Venus placement can be rather strong (at least I feel that way), but given the sheer amount of his Saturnian aspects / placements, I tend to agree with you. Maybe I am not Saturnian enough.
I never thought I would say that one day. lol

"He might seek for a Venusian partner. Your Venus in the 1st could kinda fit it, but it depends on how strong it is in your chart."
I think it is medium strong. On the weakening side, it is in Capricorn, while the ASC is in 1st house, so maybe it does not become as obvious as if it was in Sag.
On the other hand I have MC in Libra, which is squaring the exact Venus in 1st house.
Plus I have Moon in 2nd house, which is a Venus-house, too, even though more the Taurean one.
So I`d say it is not weak, but other planets might be stronger.
It`s a bit of a speciality, though, as it is the only planet I have in EARTH.

Thanks again.
That was very good I shall think.

Vesta,

the conjunction between your 1st and 4th house rulers is just awesome!
I guess this is a very strong hint at feeling at home (4th house) with each other (1st house).

Also the ruler of 7th and 1st house in square is really amazing. Forget that it is a square, it is more important that there is a connection at all.
Okay, do not forget about the square, as the square adds a lot of energy / intensity, even yes, even if you sometimes have to balance it out a bit.
Since it is his 7th house ruler and your 1st house ruler, I would say he is passionately (square) attracted (his 7th house) to you (1st house). But if you do not have your 7th house ruler in strong contact to his 1st house, your feelings might be a little less intense.
Maybe for you the emphasis is more on 1st-4th house homelife then?

Stellium,

thank you for your flattering words.

You can send your natal info to:
Sulpicia@yahoo.com

Maybe I will take some time though, and I do not know how detailed it will be, but I will have a look, of course I will. I am just too curious to not.

Lonake,

I did use only traditional rulerships? Really? I did not even notice that.
Well, I find them both valid.

I am not using Koch (and what is so bad about intercepted signs?).
I once read a very thorough article, that explained that and how the houses after KOch are based on wrong mathematical operations. It has something to do with trigonometry. Of course I already forgot the exact deduction (even though it made sense to me at that time, so I think I must have understood it somehow), but I remembered that thing about the intermediate housecusps being "wrong".

I am flirting with equal now and then, actually equal housesystem and me have an ongoing affair (as I like the fact it works in polar regions, too), but somehow I always return to Placidus, or actually topocentric houses (but they are very similiar to Placidus) - I think there will never be a real divorce between us. *sighs*

I have only tried out the houserulerships with Placidus and equal. Equal seems to work to a certain degree, but Placidus just won out. I even did some charts for people from Sweden (with houses like ASC 12 Cancer and IC 14 Leo), with both housesystems, and let them decide which analysis was the more fitting one (I expected equal to win), but everytime they picked the one I did with Placidus.
*shrugs* For now I am sticking with it, even though I know there will come a time, I may give Equal another try again.

Conjunctions to MC would be part of our identity, but our social / public identity. So if you relate very strongly to the planet on the MC of another person, you might have to realize that you love their "image" more than their inner personality.
Conjunctions to DESC relate to the partnership patterns.

Comica,

I hope you do not mind me having a look at your analysis of your pattern.

"5th ruler:
- Saturn in Scorpio/3rd house;
- conjunct Sagittarius IC.

- he has Scorpio Sun in the 9th house;
- Scorpio Saturn/Pluto in the 8th house.
- Sag Mercury/Jupiter/Uranus/Neptune."

I`d say it is important that he has a Scorpio-Sun, but MORE important is his Sun in 9th house. It is the opposite house from the 3rd, which is where your 5th house ruler falls. And oppositions attract.

"7th/8th rulers:
- Neptune in Cap/5th;
- Jupiter in Aqua/6th;
- Neptune trine Taurus Mars, Virgo AC, sextile Scorpio Pluto, square Aries Sun;
- Jupiter square Mars.

- he has Saturn trine Moon (his 5th ruler);
- Pisces AC/Moon;
- Virgo Mars square Neptune, Neptune trine Virgo DC and sextile Pluto;
- Scorpio Sun."
The strongest connection here is that his Neptunian traits (Pisces ASC/Moon and Mars quare Neptune relate to your Pisces DESC.
the 5th and 6th house are important here, too. And he has Virgo-Mars, which fits your 7th house ruler in 6th house pretty well.

"Lastly, my 7th ruler squares Mars, which can indicate a need for an active partner. He has 1st ruler (Neprune) square Mars thought, so it might fit."
I almost missed that. But yes, DEfinitely! Wow! Beautiful.
You can connect to each other over Mercury, Neptune and Mars.
I like that.

"5th ruler:
- Moon in Pisces 1st/house;
- Moon square Sag Jupiter and Sag Uranus, trine Saturn.

- I have Pisces DC;
- Aries Moon;
- Moon trine Uranus;
- Jupiter square Mars, Sag IC/Uranus;
- Saturn conjunct IC."
His 5th house ruler in Aries-house (1) - your Aries-Moon.
The Pisces DESC is more part of your relationship pattern than your identity (even though of course it is still YOUR chart).
Sag IC and Mars square Jupiter might speak to his Jupiter there.

" and then my Aries Moon can kind of relate to his Moon being in the 1st house."

". Not sure about Saturn/IC relating to his Moon/Saturn aspect or not."
Yes, IC_is a Moon-point.

"7th ruler:
- Mercury in Sag/9th house;
- Mars and Venus in the 7th;
- Mars square Neptune, sextile Mercury;
- Venus sextile Uranus.

- I have Sag IC/Uranus;
- I'm a packed Aries, with Mars trine AC/Neptune, sextile Pluto and square Jupiter;
- I have retro Venus conjunct Moon/Mercury and trine Uranus."
His Mars in 7th house loves your Aries stellium.
What he definitely nees is some Jupiter there, which you have with SAg IC (maybe the attraction becomes stronger once he knew you better and got entry into your "soul" your IC), and Mars square Jupier.
Moon conjunct Venus in your chart definitely attract his Venus in 7th house, maybe on a more emotional than strictly sexual level for this combination.

"8th ruler:
- Venus in Libra/7th house;"
He really needs Libra there, doesn`t he?
Again your Moon conjunct Venus will speak to him.
In which house does your Venus fall?
Is it the 8th?
Well, even though maybe your own Venusian traits are not "enough" for his Venus-dominance there, you would have this similiarity on the relationship-level itself (8th house).
But I still think your Moon conjunct Venus is very strong.

"Hmm maybe the fact that I was born in another country, and that I'm from a multi-racial/culture background fits his Sag/9th house image too?"
Yes.

DD,
I am wondering how to interpret the NN
in aspect to a ruler what does it represent? ( i get the destin path ect...)but how do I read it in synastry?

so say for example his 7th and 4th house ruler were square my NN how would I interpret that?

DD, thanks for your opinion about the patterns! Actually, funny is, I have a strong Piscean side and a mild Libran side, and I've always thought that they came from my Pisces DC and maybe my Libra Angel/Juno, yet with all these analysis, I finally realize that it's due to my natal aspects to Neptune and Venus lol. (yeah, DC is more about others than myself, so my Piscean traits comes from my Neptune rather lol)

By the way, it's also interesting that the 7th ruler falling into a certain sign might not necessarily mean attraction to this sign, yet it can show attraction to this sign's trats.

Hi DD,

In relation to this topic, can we talk about my Venus for a minute? Seriously, I'm like obsessed with my Venus. I both love it and hate it, it's both pleasure and pain. I even put it in my board name

My chart is heavily 7th and 8th house. The ruler of the 7th house is traditionally Libra and I feel my 7th house is strengthened in that my 7th house ruler is Mercury, which is also the ruler of my Sun in Virgo. Mercury is IN Libra also, so that's like a double connection to Libra. Saturn is also there in exaltation...Jupiter too! So I feel that Libra/Venus is already strong in my chart and we haven't even talked about where the real Lady Venus is yet...

My 8th house ruler is Venus, who also happily resides in the 8th house. In Scorpio! Pluto is there also, in it's natural house, but in Libra...again, ruled by Venus.

I feel like this makes my Venus very powerful. In fact, my Libra stellium and all my Venus action makes me "from" Venus according to Pullen...it is my strongest planet.

So, I'm assuming, that according to your theory, any contacts in synastry with my Venus will be especially significant, especially as pertains to 8th house issues? Perhaps this is why I struggle in relationships. That whole part of my chart is very Venus/Pluto even though Venus and Pluto aren't even in aspect to each other!

Most of my significant relationships, or to be more honest, most of the men that really captured my heart or created an obsession within me, aspected Venus in some way. Out of the 4 relationships that I would say made the most impact on me in life, there was a Sun/Venus conjunction, lots of Venus aspects to Mars (usually DW), Venus in soft aspect to Jupiter, Venus in hard aspect to Saturn, or a Venus/Pluto conjunction. Venus is always there, getting magnified or hit hard in some way when I find myself really in love.

I am definitely thinking that in order for me to be into a man he has to activate my Venus in some way, and in a powerful way at that.

So the ideal lover for me would perhaps have his 1st, 2nd, or 8th house ruler in conjunction to my Venus?

Vesta,

I think you interprete nodal aspects just like with normal aspects. So 7th house ruler would be like Venus aspecting nodal axis (partnership influencing the path) and 4th house like Moon aspecting nodal axis (soul and home helping the growth of the other person.)

Starr of Venus,

yes, very Venus-Pluto like.
I would also add ruler of 5th house conjunct your Venus.

Plus I would check aspect to your 7th house ruler, too (conjunction, opposition,s quare and antiscia especially).

But yes I believe you that you need to have Venus triggered; I do have something similar. Venus-Pluto-square, ruler of 2 in 8, ruler of 8 in 2, the planets in 8 and 2 (which are the rulers of 8 and 2 in exact quinkunx - I only consider it, cause it emphasises something that already has been emphasised).

But I think the deeper reason for my draw to Venus/Pluto is not the square itself, but the fact that the houses 2 and 8 are connected as well that Venus rules 5th house, and therefore is relationship-oriented.
For you it is the house 8, which is also a relationship house.

Someone else, with similiar Venus aspects and Venus ruling 3rd house, might experience these aspects not in terms of relating to a partner, but in the way they communicate.

Comica,

yes, my 7th house is in Gemini. I have NEVER been drawn to any Geminis, not seriously. BUT I need communication.

. I also use the ancient rulers, too, btw (so Mars for Scorpio-house, Saturn for Aquarius, Jupiter for Pisces).

This referred to only traditional rulers for this thread topic.

I want to include conj to MC/DSC as identity rulers, such as asc or sun sign, since the Mc is our identity in the sense of reputation which plays a part in what someone may be attracted to in us, and the Dsc conj planet because it points to our identity in the relationship, and it could also be something like a planet in h1 that points to what someone might like/dislike in us.

The Dsc planet to me is both something we like and something we are. Like me with Merc conj dsc (3) I place a high emphasis on communication, and I'm looking also for someone else who does. When I come on to a person usually I act out my Mercury dsc, and depending if they're "quick" enough to catch on plays a part in if I want something further with them, but also my manner via merc conj dsc(identity) might turn them on, or not.

Hey DD,
you had written
1st house ruler conjunct Sun or ASC or even Moon could be wonderful for true personal compatibility.
If there are no attraction aspects though you may end up as brother and sister.

Would it be true if the 1st house ruler conjuncts Dsc and opposes Asc too?
My Jupiter/neptune(Pisces ASc) is opp his Gemini Asc at about 3 and 7 degrees.
His Mercury( gemini Asc) is opp my Pisces Asc at about 8 degrees.

What does it mean in terms of Personality matches? Are we pretty incompatible since the opposition is a very strong and hard aspect?

Lonake,

"This referred to only traditional rulers for this thread topic."
Hmm, I didn`t meant it that way; I was trying to communicate that I will ALSO / ADDITIONALLY / SIMULTANEOUSLY consider traditional rulerships.

"I want to include conj to MC/DSC as identity rulers, such as asc or sun sign,"
You can do what you want of course.
PErsonally I won`t include it. I think it could be a little misleading.
But that is just my opinion.

My reasoning is this:
Of course every planet, no matter where it is, is part of your identity, as it is YOUR chart we are referring to. It is all part of your personality.

But I was looking for the PRIMARY aspects that constitute your identity in a very "instinctive" way.
The 1st quadrant is the instinctive quadrant. It is representative of your physical, instinctive and mental "make-up" - and these are the things you carry to all other areas, too, of course.

Mercury in your case is of course part of your personality / identity (as it is in your chart), but it is MAINLY expressed (and I am only looking for the MAIN significators, to not get drowned in a mass of informations) in terms of your relating-style or in your relationships and also often is something you want in your partner.
As I said Mercury is most relevant in terms of relationships (DESC / 7th house) and also in terms of the issues of the house, Mercury rules (with Gemini or Virgo at the cusp) as well as planets with strong aspects to Mercury.

Conjunctions of planets to MC will be very representative of your public persona, which is an important part of yourself, but quite honestly I wouldn`t want a man who is exclusively drawn to my LIbra MC and my Pluto conjunct MC, and then if we get closer and more intimate, he will be confronted with all my Sag planets and Cappy Venus - and he probably will be disappointed, because my public persona is so different of who I am in a more "personal" sense. (well, I am a bad example, as my MC is pretty interlinked with my ASC).
I think the MC can be pretty important in triggering attraction, especially if we meet someone under more "official" conditions like at your workplace or in other social gatherings.
But it could prove difficult in the further course of the relationship, if it is the only thing he would be attracted to.

I'm not familiar with all the theories and deeper knowledge behind rulerships or which of them (traditional and/or modern) should be used and why, but I would pay attention to both. This is simply coz I feel that there's a psychological connection to it - for example, if I have Pisces AC, then Neptune would be meaningful to me too, since Neptune represents the part of me that is related to Pisces (ideals, unconsciousness, surrendering, collective consciousness, etc.), so that psychologically, anything that affects one thing (Pisces AC or Neptune) would be directly or indirectly affecting the other too (being a Pisces AC, I can focus on the issues Neptune represents; and how my Neptune issues/part of self goes affects my overall Pisces AC's way of being).
And that is why I think that rulerships basically works - anything that affects my Mars would pretty much affect my Aries planets, in the psychological view.

But back to the traditional or modern rulerships issue - unless the modern ruler planets aren't even considered to have a meaning in a chart, if they are there, and they are related to the signs they are related to (due to each of them represents each part of ourselves), they will always be linked with the sign they rule, psychologically and symbolically speaking.

(I hope that I'm not being too confusing lol)

Rajn,

"Would it be true if the 1st house ruler conjuncts Dsc
My Jupiter/neptune(Pisces ASc) is opp his Gemini Asc at about 3 and 7 degrees.
His Mercury( gemini Asc) is opp my Pisces Asc at about 8 degrees."

His DESC is too wide in orb to have an actual conjunction to your DESC (even though the sign background may still help).

Your ASC-ruler conjunct his DESC is a "jack-pot" aspect for attraction.

(Of course only if there are not other blocking factors).

Opposition is not negative.

Lara,

hm, stressed out much. With some problems with a (female) colleague, who seems to be trying to play a powerplay with me. I hate things like that. It is such childish behaviour.

Anyway hope you are well and happy with your man.
