Want to share some more ideas,DD, if I could.I have the Scorp Ascendant ,Pluto sextile Sun and Mercury and Pluto conjunct the MC. Saturn conjuncts the ASC. Pluto is power and Saturn is restriction. Pluto makes you want to shout with no restraint. Saturn makes you hold back, doubt, second guess. I have been given internal power from Scorpio ASC, Pluto conjunct MC and an eigth house stellium(moon, sun, and Merc) but Saturn conjunct ASC pulls me in to insecurity and doubt about my essential worthiness, essential sense of self. So, I have a fight between these two warring factions in my own nature. I know some of this is a re-iteration of my previous post but I am trying to tighten it up lol. Thanks for any help DD. Ami

I want to take a stab another house--if I could.I have Cap ruling the third house. Saturn is conjunct the ASC. My self expression/mind(3rd house) has been restricted by having both Cap on the third house cusp AND Saturn(Cap's ruler) conjunct the ASC. So, in my life I have had to thwart my self expression. I have had to put my self expression in an "acceptable" box rather than let it express itself directly and freely. Would this be a sound explanation of these placements? Thanks again Ami

DD, I am gonna try a few more houses. Hopefully, that is OK . I have Sag on the second house cusp and Jupiter in the tenth house in Leo. Would this show that I am blessed with material possessions? Jupiter goes in to the house of the mother/ society-10th. Would this be a protective factor against a bad mother and protection to having a good reputation? Ami IP: Logged |

I have Aqua on the 4th house cusp with Uranus in the 9th house in Cancer. Would Aqua show a cold father and /or home life. It WAS. Would Uranus in the 9th show an absent father(traveling) and also an intellectual father. He was both. Thanks so much ,again, (((DD))) Ami

quote: DD, what would you say about the lack of aspects between his chart ruler - venus - and my planets? The only aspects we have are:His venus parallel my AC His venus sextile my chiron His venus widely trine my moon
quote:
Fiona, hmm, not sure. It depends on some of the other houserulers, too, especially of the other angles. Are they unaspected, too?
Hi DD, other angles are aspected. However, Venus which rules his 1st and 8th are not tightly aspected by my planets. My AC is widely conjunct his Venus, though. That's the only "significant" aspect I can see. Here are the other aspects: My 1st H ruler - moon - opp his 10th H ruler - moon My 1st opp his mercury My 1st square his 7th H ruler - mars My 1st trine his MC My 2nd H ruler not making any aspect to his planets but his Sun conjunct saturn is right on the cusp of my 2nd H. Does this mean he makes me feel secure? On the other hand, his 2nd H ruler (which is also his 7th), forms many aspects to my planets/H rulers - His 2nd H/7th H ruler - mars - conjunct my venus (4th H ruler) - focus on building a secure home life? His 2nd/7th square my moon (1st H ruler) - what does this mean? His 2nd/7th opp my neptune singleton in 5th house. His 2nd/7th trines my Pluto. My 4th H ruler -venus - conjuncts his 2nd H ruler - mars My 4th squares his 10th - moon - by 4 degree My 4th squares his mercury - by 4 degree My 4th H tightly sextiles his 4th/5th My 4th trines his AC His 4th/5th H ruler - saturn - squares my 10th H ruler -mars His 4th/5th H sextiles my 4th His 4th/5th H trines my neptune singleton in 5th His 4th/5th H ruler squares my chiron in 10th My 5th/10th H ruler - mars - squares his Sun My 5th/10th H trines his moon My 5th/10th H trines his mercury My 5th/10th H squares his 4th/5th H ruler - My 7th/8th H ruler - saturn - parallel his moon - bad? His 8th H ruler - venus - only forms parallel to my AC and sextile to my chiron in 10th His 10th H ruler - moon - opp my 1st H ruler - moon His 10th square my mercury (over 4 degree) His 10th square my 4th - venus (over 4 degree) His 10th trine my 10th His 10th square my neptune His 10th sextile my AC All in all, there's plenty of aspects between our 2nd, 4th, 5th, 7th and 10th rulers but not so much between our 1st and 8th. My AC conjunct his MC though.

man, I love this thread, it's right up my alley.I couldn't agree more about the significance of house rulers in synastry. I especially love connections to the 5th, 7th and 8th for romantic relationships. And the 3rd house also, but my Dsc is Gemini so that makes sense. I've also noticed that people who influence my 10th are able to get me to follow their lead, and look up to them more easily than others. IP: Logged |

Well bumped. Use combined orb when looking at 2 house rulers. For example, you want to see how you will get on sexually. Look at 1st (body) and 8th rulers (sexy bits and pieces) in aspect to each other.Scorpio rising has PLUTO ruling 1st and MERCURY ruling 8th. Check one persons PLUTO to other persons MERCURY, and other persons MERCURY to one persons PLUTO. Or just look at each house ruler one by one to the other persons. IP: Logged |

Ami and Betty, thanks for your nice words. I don`t intend to come back, but I was seeing that Coffee is working a lot on a theme that is very close to my astrological heart as well, and I thought these threads fit in there. I also mailed Sunshine a few threads on asteroids I had bookmarked for the asteroid-forum. It would be a shame if all that knowledge and ideas got lost. DD IP: Logged |

Is there a reason that you intend to not come back at all? Some say this place has gone downhill all of a sudden. Glad to know some others actually look at house rulers. Astrology started making sense when I got that little bit of information. IP: Logged |

Yes , house rulers are a gold mine but one must really study and have some VERY good books in order to get it.------------------ Enlightenment doesn't result from sitting around visualizing images of light, but from integrating the darker aspects of the self into the conscious personality Jung You must lose your life for My sake in order to find it . I disagree. All you need to know that the house ruler represents the house in question in natal and transit. One line, that's all you need to know. IP: Logged |

But HOW does it represent it. What do you mean by how? Do you mean why? All I can say to that question is that each sign has an association with a planet. As sign is on a house, you need to have a way of that house being represented through the movement of the planets. This is done by having a planet associated with that house, so you can see the movement. Question answered? IP: Logged |
