Lioness, You cannot be an Aries Ascendant.

Aries Risers never back off from a risky venture on FIRST THOUGHT, it is the second or third thought that kicks in the protective responses, what ifs, modified flavors, denials and so on. The first thought is pure. Aries Rising backs himself or herself to win, be better, come first etc in the very first thought.
Text books give 100s of explanations for each sign and confuse readers. Only an experienced astrologer can help you.

I don't like to waste people's time and energy by giving confusing explanations or giving long winded explanations but I think after doing more than 5000 charts, I would back myself to know the initial first behavior of an Ascendant Sign.

You are a late Pisces Rising.

Why can't Lioness be an Aries Ascendant????

She already said that the following Aries Ascendant stuff she can relate to:

"While some may be competitive. Those born with an Aries Ascendant are quick to anger and quick to let it pass. They don't hold grudges as a rule… they prefer to be straightforward and direct. They may have difficulty finishing their projects.
They may exhibit a swift walk. Their complexion may be a bit ruddy.Children, with an Aries Ascendant, are known for being independent and often quite self-reliant. As adults, they remain the same. They come across at times as impatient and rude. It is easy for them to get carried away and overestimate their own abilities. "

shrugs

obviously there is some type of Aries/Mars influence of her Ascendant, especially with her being able to relate to a bit ruddy appearance.

her Neptune trine Ascendant can easily explain the Pisces Ascendant traits.

furthermore her strong Saturn influence and strong Venus influence can easily explain the practical,security-oriented response that she gave to your question.

FIRST THOUGHT is a pure Ascendant Response. You can have a zillion modifying aspects, it wont matter to the first thought.
Ergo, she cannot be an Aries Ascendant, just as you cannot be anything other than a Virgo Ascendant, even if your heavily Trans-Neptunian 2nd and 3rd ++ thoughts convince you that you could possibly be every other Ascendant. If someone tampers your birth certificate and now it became Taurus, you would be able to produce 100 pages of "evidence" from your life that you are a Taurus Ascendant and not Virgo, you have that gift. But I would just need to point out the 100 pages length of data and assert that you can only be a Virgo Ascendant. To see the light of Astrology, you need to love it genuinely, not just be a hack.

Let me give a piece of wisdom from an famous Indian Story. It is about Birbal and Emperor Akbar. A great philosopher challenges Akbar's Court to identify his mother tongue. He spoke a dozen languages clearly. The Wisest man in the court Birbal accepted the challenge, and asked him to spend the night in the palace. In the middle of the night, he pours very cold water on the philosopher, who wakes up surprised and starts cursing in Gujarati! His mother tongue got identified

Same with the Ascendant, the first thought is pure and correctly definitive, we can always use it to identify the Ascendant Sign. To get the exact degree, it is best to use the techniques mentioned by Geocosmic.

Wow... I really appreciate everyone's input here..

@ Winged Leo -Does your last post fit with the Solar Arc's.. What time did you use.. Your Awesome for helping!

IQ- Thanks for putting in your opinions.. I appreciate any help I can get here..

@Raymond... You are so great for getting involved and helping trying to figure this out.. I value your input.. I am putting everyone's input into consideration.

Raymond/IQ/Leo - I'm wondering one thing here, for conversation sakes.

Lets say my Asc moves to 29Pis.. My chart would basically be the same. I would have all the same aspects mentioned, I would still be practical, and a nonconformist. (true by the way) All my aspect would still be the same..
(oo Raymond you have me so figured out)

So what would be the difference from having a Mars Chart ruler in the 6th. Mars in Leo
Verses
Neptune/Jupiter Chart ruler. Neptune in the 8th.. Jupiter in the 9th on the MC cusp.
Neptune and Jupiter both in Sag

Also what would be the difference here..

So just looking at the 1st,4th,7th,10th rulers what would be the difference
from Aries,Cancer,Libra,Cap to
Pisces,Gem,Virgo,Sag..

If I have a late degree's Pisces Asc I would still have the cardinal signs in these house, only the ruler would change. The point would be on the last degree... (example.. all points would be at 29)

So would both signs influence each house?
If so
1st would be pisces/aries
2nd Gem/Can
4th Vig/Lib
10th Sag/Cap

What do you think???

==============
IQ/Raymond..
I dont take risky adventures, especially when money is concerned..
While I was married, I had 2 secret savings account. For a rainy day... Or just in case..

I'm very routine, I really hate going out of my routine.. My job just recently changed by days off, and its totally thrown me off.. I feel as if it confuses me. I always did my chores/errands on my days off, and now that my days have changed.. I feel like I can't because its not my day to do these..

Lioness,

You already listed interpretations for Aries and Pisces Ascendants

I want to show you interpretations for
the following Ascendant aspects that you have
Pluto oppose Ascendant
Venus square Ascendant
Neptune trine Ascendant

I think that it's very important to understand the Ascendant aspects because they can add more flavor to the Ascendant.

I am going to list one aspect per post. Please keep in mind that these interpretations serve as only guidelines. They are supposed to give an idea of how they work. They shouldn't be taken for gospel. Therefore, take the interpretations with a grain of salt.

starting with Ascendant oppose Pluto

Ascendant Opposite Pluto
You attract people with powerful egos and strong temperaments. You have a strong desire for close, intimate contact with many of the persons you associate with, and this alone should be a warning to you. When you discover that someone is trying to make you over to satisfy his own desires, make a fast exit. But this is also a sure sign that you try to do the same thing to those you are attracted to. You make extensive demands on the people you deal with, but you resent it when similar demands are made of you. This is essentially the meaning of the old saying on birds of a feather. Such problems can ruin otherwise fascinating relationships.

Your talents lie in your ability to mold people, so public relations is a field you should apply yourself to. Political, social, and financial activities are other areas in which you could find a great deal of satisfaction. You express yourself with dramatic flair, and people are impressed with your ability to command attention.

You generally get what you want when you want it, and you do not tolerate refusal of your demands. If you are motivated to change people''s attitudes about their social obligations, you can accomplish miracles. You will be able to gain the support of your friends in seeking to improve intolerable social conditions. However, elected officials will try to discredit you and turn public opinion against you. But you are not afraid of such tactics because you have information about such officials that could be equally embarrassing to them.

In personal relationships you may have difficulty in achieving the success you enjoy in public conquests. When you relate to people at close range, you can become burdensome and make others feel uncomfortable. You understand how people think and may even be psychically tuned to them. This ability further helps you to deal with people.

In love you may seek partners who are quite dominating and powerful, not so much from a need to be dominated as from a desire for struggle and transformation within a sexual relationship. This can lead to very intense forms of sexual expression, but it can also lead to knockdown drag out affairs that can take quite a lot out of you. If you want this tendency to be sexually useful and not too interfering, you should not express it in your daily life but reserve it for the bedroom, where it can provide much pleasure. When conflict is confined to the sexual arena and ritualized, it can become a tremendous agent for transformation, making sexuality much more than just a pastime. It must be stressed that neither of you should force your fantasies on the other, even if the fantasies are very forceful. The scenarios should be mutually agreed upon so that each of you can fully express your needs for aggression and power, while maintaining equality in all other areas. If this is done effectively, it can defuse competition in your daily life, and you can use the transforming power of sexual energy for better self understanding and closeness.

Ascendant Square Venus

You are a sentimentalist and too attached to your early home life. Your still vivid memories of that time interfere with your becoming independent and secure enough to stand on your own feet. You feel that if you assert your freedom, you are being disloyal to the past. It should be apparent that unless you let go of binding obligations to those you love, you will never succeed in realizing your personal goals. To justify your difficulty in transferring loyalty to yourself, you devise all kinds of excuses for holding on to your obligations.

You can gain the security you need if you capitalize on your creative ideas. Not having sufficient financial reserves is especially painful for you. You know how to make money but you do not enjoy putting forth the physical effort to do so. You love your comforts and you do not like to be disturbed unless it is absolutely necessary. Perhaps it seems easier to let someone else provide for you, so you prefer to live at home, possibly with your parents or a parental figure in a ready-made environment.

At times you are ungracious to your friends when they ask favors of you, probably because you do not like to extend yourself unless it will benefit you in some way. You are generous when you talk about what you would do if you had a huge amount of money, but if you had it you probably would not follow through. You admire people who are skilled at accumulating capital in their endeavors, but you resent it when you cannot induce them to assist you in your efforts. Hard work seems worthwhile to you only when your future security is at stake. Your goals are not well-defined, because to define them would burden you with the responsibility. You avoid making a personal commitment in using your creative talents unless there is no other alternative, or if your source of sustenance is cut off.

You are probably less concerned with your physical appearance than with the status and beauty of your home and general surroundings by which you assume others judge you. Thus a beautifully designed and well-kept home is a more potent expression of your love and your desires than a fancy suit of clothes. Your reputation and what others think of you may seem quite important. You may structure your life to show the world that you have a particularly beautiful and loving relationship. Both these tendencies impel you toward very rewarding and satisfying relationships that offer you and your lover a great deal. However, you are inclined to express your desires symbolically rather than physically and directly, which may get in the way with communication with your partner. When such difficulties arise, do not hesitate to be quite verbal and specific about what you need and desire from your lover, even though you feel that your actions have made this clear. For many people words speak louder than deeds, and your lover would happily take care of your needs if you just spoke up.

Ascendant Trine Neptune

You have such deep sensitivity that it is difficult for you to be satisfied in personal relationships. Your expectations are rarely fulfilled, for you seek the ideal human relationship. A romanticist at heart, you attribute to people qualities that they do not possess, and then you are disappointed when they let you down. Instead of dwelling on this, you should concentrate on developing your creative ideas. With your imagination and flair for translating your thoughts into inspired action, this should not be difficult. You can easily compensate for the dissatisfaction in personal relationships by channeling your talents into artistic endeavors where you can be fully appreciated. In the beginning you may have to settle for meager returns for your efforts until you acquire the skill of a true and dedicated artist. There are also many other ways to use your talents besides in artistic pursuits. It might be a source of joy for you to work with young people and children and see them develop under your influence.

You tend to dwell on your character faults, especially if others have pointed them out to you. Forget them and go on to develop your abundant positive qualities. You are inclined to feel that you must do more than others to get the recognition you deserve. But beware that you do not become a victim of friends who try to take advantage of your indulgent nature. You are not afraid to work hard if your efforts are appreciated. Knowing that you can make a contribution to your environment in some way, you must persist in finding out "in what way?" in spite of seeming reversals. You should bring your creative gifts before the public, along with your interpretation of what is needed to improve the quality of life for everyone. You can demonstrate your spiritual concern for humanity by actively helping to arouse every individual to use his or her highest values to make the world a better place to live.

You tend to romanticize and idealize love in a spiritual way, but not to the point of being unrealistic. Instead of seeking a relationship that cannot be attained in reality, you use your natural talents to make your current affair more romantic and ideal. Throughout a love affair, you are more concerned with spiritual communication than with the technical aspects of sexuality. But you do this in a natural fashion so that the flow of physical sexuality is not interrupted; rather, infused with the higher qualities of a loving communication. If your partner shares these qualities, this tendency may lead into affairs in which sex is not at all important. In any case you will not seek sexual expression for its own sake, unless you know there is something higher to be gained from it, either immediately or in the future. You will probably retain a certain level of innocence and playfulness which make your sexuality airy and gentle rather than raw and intense. Indeed this trait will enable you to soften a partner who is less at ease and reestablish the flow of sexual communication when it has been broken by your partner''s problems.

YEs.. those are all pretty true.. If my Asc changes by say one degree I would still have all those same aspects... None of that would change.
Either way.. I think the key is looking at what would change, and trying to figure out what seems to be more accurate.

Either way I would still have
Pluto opps Asc
Venus sq Asc
Neptune trine Asc.
so on and so on...

So I am wondering what would be the difference it the sign of these aspects changed...

What Im trying to fiqure out is what would change with the new house rulers for the 1,4,7,10 houses..

Lioness,

Do you think that your Neptune trine Ascendant makes it difficult for you to see if you have a Pisces Ascendant or not due to the similarities that Neptune trine Ascendant has with Pisces Ascendant? I really do believe that your Neptune trine Ascendant could easily be the factor that you can relate to Pisces Ascendant.

You should also consider the Descendant (7th house cusp) which is the opposite of the Ascendant and has to do with relationships, partnerships.

Here is an interpretation for
Virgo Descendant which you would have as a Pisces Ascendant:

Virgo
The influence of Virgo in the seventh house denotes a need for a mate or a partner who will compensate for your lack of efficiency. As a very idealistic person, you are attracted to the intellectual who will balance and help bring your dream world to more of a reality; someone who can manage the detail while you have the vision. Partners, including the marital partner, tend to be hard working and effectual, and assume most of the responsibility of helping you take care of your practical affairs. You are not a particularly easy person to live with. You tend to be highly right-brained oriented, while your partner operates best in a left-brained environment. It is beneficial when you connect with an intelligent, analytical, and fact-oriented partner.

(please keep in mind that your Sun,an animus planet, is conjunct your Mercury which ruler of both Gemini and Virgo)

Here is an interpretation for Libra Descendant which you would have as an Aries Ascendant.

Libra
The Libra influence in the seventh house shows a strong need to have others play an important part in affairs. You need the calming, tranquil effects of the Libra/Venus type person in any sort of long term romantic relationship. You want to be admired, and you want the feeling that you are influencing another's thinking and behavior. You sow your wild oats at an early age and become calm and judicious when it comes to selecting a marital partner. You must curb your frankness and become more diplomatic to succeed in marriage or in other partnerships. Sharing is not a natural trait and must be learned. You have difficulty seeing the other person's frame of reference. Fortunately, you attract a diplomatic partner who knows not to contradict you directly, but uses tact to maneuver and lead you.

(Please keep in mind that Venus is square your Ascendant/Descendant axis. You also have Sun trine Eris which some believe rules Libra. You also have Ascendant conjunct Venus/Jupiter midpoint.)

Not sure about the right/left brain thing..

You need the calming, tranquil effects of the Libra/Venus type person in any sort of long term romantic relationship. You want to be admired, and you want the feeling that you are influencing another's thinking and behavior. You must curb your frankness and become more diplomatic to succeed in marriage or in other partnerships. Sharing is not a natural trait and must be learned. Fortunately, you attract a diplomatic partner who knows not to contradict you directly, but uses tact to maneuver and lead you.

I did marry a Virgo with Leo Venus and Mars. Note: His asc is also in Virgo.
My husbands info
Asc/Dsc is 24Virgo/24Pis
Moon 19Aries
Sun 10Vig
Mars 5LEo
Venus 23Leo
Saturn at 27Pis
Chiron at 24 Pis

She gave birth on May 12, 1992:

The Solar Arc is the umbrella so you look at those first. Are there any Solar Arcs affecting the angles? That's what we're testing her chart for. I only see that SA Pluto is approaching her ASC by Quindecile in about 2 years which is a signal for her changing identity especially geared toward finding and receiving her new job, but it's not involved in the birth.

SA Jupiter=Venus - Success in love; artistic success; philanthropy; birthing

Transiting Pluto at 21'34" Scorpio which is exactly Quindecile the ASC. Strong pressure affecting her physically.

Transiting Pluto=Sun/Mars (midpoint) - Force; ruthless application of energy; severe health strain possible. With Sun and Mars located in the 5th House of children I'd consider this to be a part of the trigger of the birth, especially since transiting Mars is approaching the ASC (or possibly on it, we don't know yet) and with this possible ASC being exactly Sesquiquadrate to this Sun/Mars midpoint, it looks like some kind of picture is coming together. Her ASC could still be 5 or 6 degrees Aries.

Transiting Uranus at 17'51" Capricorn which is Quindecile her Venus and moving on to her 4th House cusp (the MC/IC Axis) suggesting emotional excitement and shockingly exciting new energy in the home.

Transiting Neptune at 18'50' Capricorn which exactly Quindecile the IC suggesting a dissolving of boundaries within the home, possibly suggesting other family members and friends coming into the home to help out with the new baby, giving advice, taking control where you don't want them to, etc. whether you like it or not. Possibly some ego wipe-out and suppression of self.

Maybe I'll do some more later, it's just taking a lot of time.

You didn't answer my question about if Neptune trine Ascendant can factor into relating with Pisces Ascendant.

I also find it interesting that you can identify with quite a bit of the Aries Ascendant including the appearance.

My exgf,Meghann has Pisces Ascendant.

She's 5'3 with pale complexion, blue eyes, and light brown hair which she dyed blonde.
Her face is kinda round. There is a softness and demureness to it. I'd say it look kinda angelic. The face of a cherubim. She also had a tendency to put on weight. She's not thin at all. She told me that she used to be overweight. She has stationary Jupiter square Ascendant. She also has Venus sextile Ascendant. She's very pretty. Her body is Venusian. She has Uranus square Ascendant, and she's non-traditional type of person who wasn't into getting married nor having children.

She was very critical, discriminating, and perfectionist in how she approached relationships. She was also prudish too.

She never said anything about being a lonely, latchey child. She has a sister that is year younger than her. They're very close. Their parents split up. She's an introvert. She is very close to her mother. I'd even say that she's a mama's girl.

She shares strong feminist tendencies with her mother who had a strong dislike for males.

She has Sun conjunct Mercury in Aries as well as Mars in Aries. They are in her 1st house. Her Sun-Mercury trine Jupiter-Uranus conjunction. She has Moon conjunct Saturn in Scorpio conjunct Pluto in Libra with corresponding midpoint picture of Moon conjunct Saturn/Pluto (Nessus-sensitive) squaring Nessus-Orcus conjunction.

but yeah my exgf Meghann has Pisces Ascendant with Aries planets in 1st house.

Geo.. Thanks for taking the time to do that.

Not sure if it matters are not..
5/12/92
But When my daughter was born I was told I was not in labor, and I was sent home.. When I went back to the hospital 2 hours later I was in full on labor.. I was then "accused" of doing or taking something. No time for an epidermal. Because labor with a 1st child never goes that fast.. They even took her away and drug tested her and me, and would not let me see her until the neg results came back... (Maybe Neptune/Uranus influence) Total of 4.5 hours of labor from the was sent some until birth time.

4/23/02
With my son.. I never went into labor.. I was two overdue.. I went to the hospital on 4/22 for them to induce labor... nothing they did worked.. They were scratching their head trying to figure out why they could not induce my labor..
The next day 4/23 they broke my water and labor started within 10 mins.. He was born 3 hrs and 50 mins later...
Note: After I got the epidermal, everything went down hill.. His heart rate dropped, alarms were going off, and a bunch of nurses and doctors came running in the room.. yelling push NOW!! The baby has to come out NOW!! This was a tough labor..

I agree, Glaucus. I am an Aries and I could never identify with being an Aries because my Sun is in the 12th House. Also, I'm supposed to be very maternal and nurturing because my Moon is in Cancer, the ultimate Moon placement, BUT my Moon is squared by Saturn almost completely drying up those characteristics. I don't really cook or nurture anyone, no children. Also, my ASC is Gemini BUT Neptune exactly quindecile's my ASC, there by fogging over my Gemini ASC qualities. Needless to say, since the three major placements in my chart are heavily stressed in someway, I could never identify with any of the descriptions that (cookbook) astrology provided. My chart NEVER made sense to me until I learned about testing the chart and it's angles with Solar Arcs, transits, etc.

Lioness claims that she's an introvert, but if you asked her friends and family around her, they might describe her otherwise. The same with me, I don't see myself as an Aries in any way, shape or form, BUT all my friends and family will tell you that I exhibit all of those characteristics.

I agree that the possibility of Neptune trining her possible ASC would add to her feeling like an introvert and contributing to that behavior if it really exists.

Very interesting, Geocosmic.

You're a perfect example of how aspects work like modifiers.

Do you think Pluto oppose Ascendant can also account for any introversion that Lioness has? Yeah..I see Neptune trine Ascendant can be it.

If Im one on one with people I'm more sociable, and relaxed. I just cant be in large crowds... Ive never even went to a concert.. I cant stand the thought of being around that many people... I refuse to go shopping on a Sat/Sun or at night..

The funny thing is that I when most Pisces influenced people post photos on social websites, etc. they REALLY love to put up blurry or out-of-focus pictures. However, this could be a perfect example of Neptune trining your ASC.

Here's a question, Lioness. Do you have any dental imperfections like a gap between your teeth. I'm an Aries and I have a gap, my best friend is an Aries and she has a gap, my brother doesn't have a gap, but he sucked his thumb through out childhood so his teeth are slightly pushed back. This is not a definite, but sometimes I've noticed that Aries have some unique dental "characteristics" before they get them fixed, so to speak.

Now, my father has a gap, but he's a Sagittarius, but I don't know what his ASC is.

Glaucus,

Yes, it's possible that her ASC being opposed by Pluto could contribute to the introversion/suppression of self in the 1st half of life, but then she may find herself or her partner becomming prominent at some point.

Pisces.

Just going with my gut. I'm usually right about ASCs for some reason.

No rhyme or reason, just a teeny tiny bit of feyness in your bearing that I detect. The way your fingers hold the phone.

That was my immediate impression. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
