My my, no wonder friendships are so important to you, with the Sun in the 11th.

Maybe they meant the things that they said, but their opninion/feelings of you changed over time? And the thing is, they're probably not as into friendship as you are. You just need to find people who value friendship as much as you do.

Hi Rosalind -

quote:
Dunno what orb it is. Its a blank field. I was born in July 86. I started studying astrology 4 years ago and believe at least regarding my natal chart I still have questions without an answer because astro says one thing, the software I use another thing and astrotheme another thing. Thats why I am not 100% sure about the orbs. I do think I have Mars/Neptune aspect.

The orb is basically how far away the planets are from each other.

I had a look for July 1986...
On the 1st of July - Mars was at 30 deg in Capricorn
On the 30th of July - Mars went retro all the way to 12 deg in Capricorn

During that period Neptune was at 3 deg Capricorn.

So the closest orb you would have is around 9/10 deg.
Most astrologers would consider that very wide for a transpersonal planet aspect. If you do feel like it affects you - it may just be because the planets are in the same sign. To some extent planets in the same sign have a simpatico kind of vibe happening.... even though it wouldn't be as intense as a conjunction.
I'm not surprised this does not affect you sexually though, because it's a wide aspect. Besides Mars is exalted in Capricorn. It is a strong Mars.. In your case, it is not directly affected by Neptune... so you probably have what most psychologists would refer to as a healthy sex drive.

Thanks Betty. Mars is at 17 degrees in Cappy in Rx motion in 3rd house. Neptune is at 4 degrees in Caoricorn also in RX motion in 2nd house. I was born on July 11 1986.

The good thing about Mars in Cappy is that it gives me STRONG self control apart from the STRONG sexual drive. If I don't like a person, I wont have sex with him no matter how attractive might look.

I have all this and barely care about sex. I don't have sex unless I'm in a relationship. Especially when younger I was called a prude. I can be very open in the bedroom but only when in a committed, loving relationship.

I have a problem with the cancer energy, I have a sagg rising conjunct uranus and I am a gemni sun.. two of the closest people to me have cancer moon and cancer rising and I can easily feel trapped by them (why dont you return my calls, are we not friends nymore?) and they get easily hurt by my sagg bluntness, and they think that world is against them all the time, but when I get hit really bad I turn to them for comfort. and they turn to me too when they are depressed and I'll give them am optimist injection. Taurus people dont seem to like me, but I lack earth in my chart, maybee they think I am too restless(sagg), intense(scorp) and airy (gem).

In response to OP,the most difficult aspects to deal with, imnsho, are squares/oppositions between Sun and Neptune.
Boy,do they live in Illusionville. The most irritating part is when I hear about their perception of idols and dreams (which is in line with Sun symbolism, for it denotes self-awareness and purpose) which in some odd way turns out to be mediocre. Now,it is a pretty cruel thing to call any dream mediocre, but I can't be fair when I see how they rise the ordinary and shun the good, unique. Very often I saw the confusion as to where they stand in the world and really you can always sense that they see themselves in all shades of pretty pink. And there is no improvement, however, breaking that illusion would be breaking themselves entirely - they hold onto their illusions, because it means survival!

*seems that Neptune is a hot topic*

I have Mars/Neptune sq and I confess to strong fantasizing aspect of sex, however once it hits realisation phase ,it is all Mars' doing - passionate, could be love-less,very physical.
The main problem with Mars/Nep is that energy is derived from thin air,the sex is what happens between the moment when you start desiring someone and actually having sex with them - it is a flimsy, undefined, yet glittering sentiment in-between and the thinking that there is no need for consummation is what causes frustration and sexual confusion often linked with Mars/Nep aspects.

There is also sponge-like tendency to soak up everyone's fantasies and to tease with them, but never to fulfill them.
On the good side, natives can be are magicians, you can't see the trick and you end up being attracted to them all over again.

Ahhh, okay. I'm SOOOO tired of Scorpio Moon having such a terrible reputation. It's such a widespread opinion that WE even believe we're evil and twisted.

Yeah, I used to be really angry, mean, hostile and defensive but I've done a lot of self-work and I'm not in that place anymore. I had to heal a lot of hurt to get out of that frame of mind. I still have my dark side and I'm still really hot-tempered but I'm a good person. I don't care about revenge anymore and I'm not nearly as resentful. I've just been learning how to let go.

But I've always been a good person at heart, even back when I was really difficult to deal with. Lunar Scorpios are just so pathologized from an early age. Because we're such intense personalities and react in such extreme ways, we're called 'psycho' and told we need to calm down and be rational. So, I feel like, even when we're just trying to do good, we're still going to be called 'evil' and 'dangerous' because our very nature is so strong that it's threatening to most people. And that may not be fair but I guess that's the way many people are. But, to get that response constantly from society can plant a seed in someone's head and make them believe they're as bad as people say they are.

That being said, I don't think it's cool to judge ANYONE before getting to know them, in any sort of way. I think it's just as bad to write someone off because they have a particular Moon placement as putting someone in a box because of their skin color or sexual orientation. It's just as prejudiced as that. Because not everyone in a certain group is going to be the same.

There are certain placements I haven't meshed well with in the past but I try to give everyone a chance. There are also certain placements I've gotten along with swimmingly before and I met someone with the same placement and I couldn't stand them. It all depends on the person and their maturity level and how they handle their chart.

FYI:
The purpose of this thread is not to judge.
It is to share experiences.
If someone is not personally 'cool' with/is wary of Lunar Scorps in their personal lives, for whatever reason then *they are allowed to think that way.*

So how about you? What zodiac signs and aspects are you wary of?

venus in gemini!!!!! too airy fairy for me.

"Maybe Diana will chime in again, but ime the H8 Moons keep their cauldron locked up. You don't get to see what's inside, it only bubbles over in their reactions when they can't contain its contents any longer. Then they close up shop and try to get away from those feelings. That's what it looks like from the outside. It doesn't seem that they are scared of their feelings, just that they want them to be hidden for some other purpose"

lonake: i have a 8h moon, and i must say..........i tend to agree.

I didn't say they aren't allowed to think that way. I just think rarely anything positive is said about the sign and it's kind of ridiculous. And yes, if someone says they discover a person has a particular planet placement and then suddenly becomes wary of them, because of their past experiences with that placement, that is judgmental. What if you hadn't done their chart? Would you still feel the same way?

Not trying to stir up trouble or anything. Just my opinion.

Well I for one *enjoy the Scorpio Moons in my life.* Does that help?
So re:the issue of judgment, then you take issue with this whole topic? I'm confused.

quote:
What if you hadn't done their chart? Would you still feel the same way?

I don't know about other people, but I've long been at the stage where I can suss out certain aspects or placements of someone's chart (without seeing it). But only in person, through interacting with them. Then I see the chart and there it is. So........maybe for me it's a case of looking at too many of them. Most who've responded so far just added their personal opinions/experience. Mine is my opinion/experience as well.

I'm OK with people disliking certain placements. Heck, some of those already mentioned, I have in mine. But I don't care if it doesn't rub them the right way. I just keep going. That's my take.

Most people seem proud to have Scorpio in their chart, so I don't think it's a bad thing.......

In terms of getting "close" whether romantically or in friendship... I'm unlikely to get close to people with Cancer influence in their personal planets, in particular women. This is because I don't trust that they care about me.
I feel like they are envious and have issues with me, so I'm wary of being back-stabbed. If they have Capricorn or Aries stuff happening - that can make our relationship better.
In men - I'm also wary of:
Venus in Aries
Venus Retro
Venus square Mars
Mars in Taurus (if afflicted)
Mars in negative aspect to Pluto Their version of love & sex is at odds with mine. Love makes me happy - whereas it makes them feel inadequate or angry.. and I can't relate to their problems. I have Tau Venus trine Cap Mars.

I have venus square mars and pluto and quincunx chiron and being in love doesnt make me angry or feel inadequate,in fact the one time i was truly in love i had never been happier while it lasted, what did make me angry and feel inadequate was when^ the said libra girl i was in love with decided to simply discard me, she didnt even give me a text break up ,she simply started seeing another guy. Oh yea that brought out the love hate thing venus mars is famous for lol! I have noticed there is an opinion among certain people in the astrology community that people who have afflicted venuses are players and should be avoided, now it could manifest that way but in my experience it is us afflicted venus who get hurt way more than we do the hurting,i get that conclusion from my own experiences, and my mom and a few friends who all have an afflicted venus,we all have similar patterns of being very unlucky with the opposite sex, so we may come off as cynical or angry about relationships,i know i can be that way,but if i ever fall in love again i will be happy, atleast while it lasts.lol

I know a gemini with all mutable signs and mostly air who has venus square uranus, and though he's a huge flirt, and he'll lead you on, he isn't a cheater and wont actually use girls either. After meeting that guy, I now can believe anyone can overcome their chart tendencies lol. ^.^ I was exaggerating really. I'd just be on guard for that kind of behavior, wouldnt avoid the person or anything. Not with someone who has sun square mars either. They might have overcome that aspect in their chart...

What I meant to say in my first post was sun in negative aspect to uranus. I've met two people who had that. They defied society in a big way just for the heck of it. It was annoying, but I think it depends a lot more what kind of synastry/composite you have bc with the right person I'm sure it would've been fun. I like defying society with my aqua north node, uranus in the 3rd, and mercury opposite uranus.
