I was lucky though my parents wanted us to be honest with them about things and they wanted us to know we could call if we ever needed them. They didnt condone it and didnt allow it in their house but as long as my grades were up and I kept a job and made it home by curfew they were leinent. Honestly, I got bored of it all after high school because it was the same people doing the same thing every night. So I guess they knew what they were doing just letting me get it out of my system.

Totally agree.

But as a parent who have taken the responsibity of giving birth to a child, you should ensure that your child is going on the right track. Booze, drugs, smoking weeds have a sort of magnet that draws people, making you feel as if you are having the time of your life.Making this your lifestyle? Of course that would be the person's choice.

I fully agree with you in the parents' responsibility point. It's a parent's job to infuse and enlighten their child with all of the knowledge and experience they've reaped in their lives to try to protect them from dangers and to help make them successful, productive human beings...

I honestly wish I hadn't started smoking weed as young as I did because I know that the decisions I made then, thinking I had more important things to do than study and grow, have a huge impact on where I am in my life today. Do I wish I'd never smoked? No. I do enjoy it. I just wish my timing had been better lol

It's all about psychology you know. It no longer has this taboo feeling around what you were doing. Your parents did a great job!

Tequila queen

I think you and I would get along famously!

And yes, you're absolutely right. It's all about priorities. And I don't think most young people have them straight. I know I sure didn't.

^^ I've realised recently that I'm drawn to people, either in friends capacity or love interests who have pisces/taurus/capricorn/scorpio placements.

As for leos, I love being around female leos not males.

I have all of those!
Pisces: Sun/Merc
Taurus: Moon
Cap: Neptune (I normally wouldn't throw in an outer planet, but it does "rule" my Sun)
Scorpio: Pluto

I find that interesting about the male/female thing. I find myself enamored of both, but the males do tend to rub me the wrong way more than females ever could... Unless He's a Leo Moon or Venus...and then I'm putty in his hands *damnit*

Because I don't go out partying every night (anymore ) my friends make it a point to try to out drink me or get me to beg for mercy on my birthdays... Silly kids, I always come out the winner.

There are pictures of me "pre-funking" before the bar with a fifth of tequila to my lips (whoopsie! don't know how that got there!!) and I still would end up being the one collecting my drunken buddies from their random corners of the establishment, having the bar tender call a cab..etc.. Always looking out for them, even when I leave with twice as many as I came with (double vision lol) I think that's the Leo in me. No man left behind the bathroom door

I love male Leos!! The ones I run into are always so....masculine? Idk what it is really but I love it!! Maybe its because my Mars is in Leo...
Although lately Leos have been coming in second to Sags...all the drive of a Leo without the big ego. Really positive too and usually they have amazing bodies! YUM!

I'm in love haha! Sag Moon is one of my favorite placements...which is weird because my moon is in Scorpio. I adore them though they always have a tendency to bring the light back into my life when things get dark. One of very few placements that allows me to let go and have fun aroumd without having fear of being judged or betrayed.

Yes, exactly. I've got a Taurus Moon, so I know what you mean by "it's weird" being attracted to them in a cookbook sense, but gosh I can't help myself.

Really? That's amazing! I am really drawn to people with these placements and they are drawn mutually to me.

The male leo suns rub me the wrong way. They are very sexy, true, but they have a running mouth and they are always so full of themselves!

How do you feel when you can't be yourself around your family?

I would love for my mother to know that her only daughter loves to party, smoke weed, and be half naked. I was talking to a friend of mine about this and she says my mother doesn't need to know but I disagree with that. I would hate for my mother to find my Instagram and be shocked at what she sees. I would much rather her know who I am and what to expect.

Is this because of my Uranus and Neptune in the IV house?

Oh wow.

My family doesnt't know that I'm gay and when I told my Mom, she first "accepted" then went into denial. I have not gone further to tell the otehr members.

I think in the long run, it's improbable for one to live their life with the Mom knowing every aspect of one's personality. Most people say 'nevermind God's judgement, coz atleast that's still coming. Having to deal with my Mom's judgemental looks every other day, wouldn't be nice for me."

The way I look at it is;I don't know any other aspect of my Mom's personality-either. And I am sure that there are things that she has done in the past that she wishes to conceal from me; so that she doesn't forfeit the "grace" of being my parent. It really goes both ways.

I think the key word here is "unconditional acceptance". Some of us fear disappointing our parents because we may not have lived up to their standards/values that they tried so hard to instill on us.

This may be a controversial thought but I also think that the death of a loved one (especialy the one who assumed the parental role)is first sad, but progressively liberating; especially if the person feels like they have been living their lives in the parent's "prism of approval".

It's normal for other people including your parents to not know everything about you. Who cares if you're living a double life? We all have a double life in some way. I don't believe people can be honest about EVERYTHING. No matter how honest a person is, there will always be at least 1 thing that the other person doesn't know about. Think of it this way, do you know what kind of person you mom is? Do you know absolutely EVERYTHING about her past for instance? There might be aspects of her life you don't know about. If you think she's told you everything about herself then that's not true. Maybe she only claims that she has told you everything. After all, look, no one can really know everything about a person because sometimes, people forget things they used to do or situations where they did something they're not proud of where they feel like they were being sneaky. A person can't know what kind of thoughts the other person has if s\he doesn't tell you about it. So technically, we all live a double life, even if you've lived a long time with a person. There will always be another side to you (perhaps something embarrassing you did at one point) that the person you related to or your lifelong partner or sibling doesn't COMPLETELY know about. I don't know if I've made myself clear. I'm talking in general not just to your situation. Also, I know I gave an example about your situation but I don't mean anything personal by it, it's just an example. This applies to everything and everyone. That's how I feel and think of this. I think it's natural that your mom doesn't know this side of you. If everyone on earth was completely honest about everything, people would end up hating each other and possibly killing one another (if someone vocalized resentment for you while pretending to be nice to you, it would stir up very negative emotions.) Don't worry too much about it. Oh and, this is just my opinion, I know a lot of people might disagree with me but oh well.. It's normal.

Ps. You also have to take into consideration that sometimes it's necessary to keep the truth from your parents especially because not everyone is going to accept it. I have a pisces rising as well. I'm one of the most vague people you will ever meet. Even my mom has told me at some point "I barely know anything about you". But it's alright, you know, I don't look at it as something negative. I don't feel the need to share little aspect of my life with people. I don't believe in being 100% honest with your parents. Their generation is very different than yours and mine. (Also your culture plays a role etc...)

LOL I was raised by leo man, everyone loves leo men but they are so difficult.

Too fussy, dramatic, and entitled.
When they want to by nice they're amazing and when they're moody and they can push all your buttons on purpose..

I would never be able to marry or date one, nothing beyond friendship... nope.

You know girls look for men that remind them of their father...
OMG nooooooooo. HELLL NOOOOO.
I love my dad unconditionally but if I was dating someone like him I would run far away.

I recently did date a leo guy and it was a nightmare...
Leo women are fine thou in my opinion.

That's so wrong. My drug dealer supports his family with the money he earns. He loves life but hates money and would rather make his money the easy way while he can. He doesn't want a 9-5 because life is short. Some people have unconventional jobs. He shouldn't be respected if he was raping and killing people, but he's not. He's selling weed. That's it.
