I have my ASC square my sun by one minute. There were times in t adolescence I was probably more like a Scorpio (my ASC) but I am a Leo through and through. My ASC is also opposed my Taurus moon by 20 minutes. I strongly feel like a mixture of all 3. I feel like my ascendant slips away when I open up. Upon first meeting, or when I'm in new situations I definitely see me acting out my ascendant. And I do like the investigating nature of Scorpio - but I know other combinations that are like that too. I wonder if having more aspects to your ASC exaggerate it more. I have every planet aspect my Sun but Jupiter doesn't aspect my ASC although it is so close. I just have the Sun/Jupiter quintile natally. IP: Logged |

I agree with this in my case..I feel much more like my 29 Gemini rising than Taurus, and chart ruler hits most of my planets! IP: Logged |

I am a 1 degree 8 minute cancer rising so moon is my chart ruler. I also have moon and venus in Gemini in the 12th. Interesting that my ASC falls so incredibly close to Gemini as well. Although I came across strongly as a cancer ASC as a child, I and other people would now identify more with the Gemini. My progressed sun is also in Gemini. Now, with my ASC so close to my 12th house and my moon and venus in it, I exude a lot a Pisces qualities as well! My sun is in Taurus and I wouldn't normally say I connect much with that, but since it's an earth singleton in my chart, those qualities get thrown in there pretty visible too.. So I'm really a mixed bag and I've been told I'm very difficult to "figure out."IP: Logged |

ASC aint **** to me.
i hate my asc. its in opposition to a lot in my chart and just creates problems. it also makes people who dont know me think im libran. which i am NOT. ------------------

I agree with RAS, and Ceridwen. And Lionfish: we have the same Sun/Moon/Asc!!! Inwardly, and truly, I am definitely a Pisces. Dreamy, Emotional, Spiritual. But when I discovered that my Ascendent was Leo, it made perfect sense. No one pegged me for a pisces because when I am in a social setting, I have a definite presence, this is also where my outgoing SOCIAL nature comes in, although in reality I can be quite reserved. And of course the PRIDE. And when I realized I have a Taurus moon I thought, THIS is why I am so damn stubborn!

I did say the asc was how you approach the world. That is the same thing you're saying. I don't think there's anything wrong with calling it a mask. It is your outer shell, and your defense against the world. It's your mask.

This is so sad. Virgo is my chart ruler and Mercury is my highest ranking planet and also most afflicted. Also have a pAsc in Virgo plus a Stellium (incl Merc) in Virgo. I am probably more Virgo than most Virgo Suns or Moons....so sad...*cries*My Asc is also trine and/or conj and/or sextile Moon, Mars, Sun, Venus, Mercury, Jupiter, Uranus, Ceres, Chiron. IP: Logged |

Makes me think of the face masks I put on to make the skin glow or whatever.Usually when I wash it off my skin DOES glow.
