.....That's so...... rigid and primitive. I can't believe that some people can be THIS primitive. And don't say you feel sorry for someone's troubles when you clearly don't mean it. That's damn insincere. "I feel sorry for you, BUT blablabla". You do know the rules for using the words "but" or "however", right?

When people are depressed,Dop, the REASON is being they are in denial

That's a huge leap in logic. How'd you come to THAT conclusion?

If I knew you weren't serious I could at least say it's a lame joke, but what's even sadder if that you ARE serious.

Looks like a large majority of people here fit into this category.

I totally did, anyway. It's sort of the expression I get when I read...um. Stuff like this.

It was long, but thank you.

It's not like people take pleasure in your pain, or that they can even relate to everything you said, but your honesty and self revealing speaks to many people on different levels, and its comforting to know that pain isn't a personal experience, but a human experience, Teasel.

Once we Cancers get hurt, we will do everything to prevent it from happening again. We general have the same knee-jerk reaction to a threat which is nothing like a jerking knee, but more like digging our heels in and holding firm, no matter how much our argument contradicts the true nature of our good feelings toward people.

Being black and Muslim, I am probably everything Ami is afraid of and dislikes. I like her anyway, because I see past her fear and posturing. We won't hang out. On that point Im sure we agree, but I like her.

The thing about that never-ending Cancer battle is we actually recreate the pain and abuse we once experienced...and sometimes we feed on it..

These threads aren't an accident.

^^^💜💜💜Venus

I just don't believe in standing by someone who abuses your love. I don't like ppl telling me fake things. I don't like ppl plastering my placements everywhere, branding me as cold, callous, psychopathic. I don't appreciate the refusal to look at the truth. It has nothing to do with cancer placements. It has a lot to do with free will, and having a generous heart and some humility.

And Venus, I think this type of thinking is very similar to the prejudices towards Muslim, or any type of racial/ethnic/religious group.
I'm religiously agnostic. I don't "get" religious ppl but that shouldn't prevent me to have compassion for them.

Does anyone know of a handy spell we can say that will prevent this thread from ever getting bumped, ever again?

Let's be compassionate to Ami and not remind her of her worst mistakes.

You're right. You know what's interesting though? For about 2 years I kind of distanced myself from my Muslim family. Nothing "they" did. I just needed my space to figure some things out, and in a family it's difficult to get your space. So I would say I left "the fold of Islam". When I recently became more involved with the Muslim Ummah (family), in general I found them frustrating, in their response to world events, media, etc...

Time with them, and myself, is changing my perception. I might not be very clear because I'm still figuring it out, but it's like there's this giant storm of anger enveloping the entire world- Anger or denial and complacency.

I'm a fighter. In fact a part of me loves to fight. When I was a child I had this reoccurring dream of going through some intense trial, and then escaping with my captor or enemy's horse or horses. That is the Native warrior spirit in me.

..Anyway, the great deception in the world is evident to me. The ignorance of Muslims and non-Muslims (and everyone in between, including myself) is overwhelming to me. The world is getting smaller and the offender and offended are being forced into close quarters.

I only see one way out (my Muslim family is reminding me) and that is to 1. Never get angry, even when in "battle", and 2. Occupy myself, as opposed to Wall Street or something.

I thought my Ummah (religious family) had given up. No. They have taken the battle to the next level.

I have always admired Malcolm X for his articulate and concise way of telling it like it is, but even he, when he tasted peace became more like Martin Luther King.

By the way, there is something very powerful in your reserve. You're not a chatter box like myself; always working things out out loud. So when you speak it's effective.

eta: I believe wholeheartedly in speaking out against injustice. Some of the things Ami said to some members is deplorable. I was actually hoping to give her something to think about, in a very indirect, walking sideways, Cancerean kind of way

but now the cat's out of the bag...or the crab is out of the shell..

eeta: I kind of didn't address your post. You're right. Not having knowledge of something or understanding of something doesn't justify prejudice. The act of one evolving person with an air moon or sun doesn't justify stereo types. I guess my comment above, which is almost a whole other topic (lol), is just me explaining where I personally am with bigotry and complacency

I did. Haha. I was trying to find a time to properly respond. And I think complacency and bigotry are the words here.

I really appreciate your honest, thoughtful posts. I never thought you were a chatterbox. I'm just more curt with how I want to discuss things. Aries moon is kinda impatient in that sense.

And I'm angry in the sense that this is someone who calls herself an astrologer, who attempts to give guidance to others. I don't think she ever changes honestly. Just days ago she start talking about Aquarians again. It's tiring to see a thread or a poster and already know what he/she is gonna say.

Yes, at the beginning of this thread she said she will say what she wants to say. So yes, other posters are gonna tell her what they think too.

I truly believe that to be a teacher, one has to be even more generous, forgiving, and compassionate. It's a big burden.

Any way, I've said too much. But I have always appreciated your posts and I hope you don't feel pressured to shorten them

Elysia, that's true.

Weirdly I think people take Ami seriously and repeat that phrase "loyal moon" as if it has some validity.

I can't imagine concocting something that random and having people believe it. It almost makes me want to write a totally arbitrary "article" and see how many people repeat my "teachings".

Omigosh, do it do it!! Please.

I'd love to read that.

P.S. Yeahh.. You know, we all have some silly opinions/theories at some point. (Granted, most people's misconceptions aren't about blacklisting random sets of people). Let's say terrible life experiences shaped them. But we outgrow those misbegotten ideas, as we see more of the world and learn. It's baffling how someone nearly three times my age still hasn't 'come round'. Can no part of the truth slip through the cracks of such a flimsy defense? In so many years? *sigh* Anyway, to each his own.

I don't. It was just hurtful to see something like that, yet again, from someone I've taken care to include in things, even if I don't agree with her on certain things.

Thanks, Venus. I edited, because I thought that Ami would think I was ganging up on her. I realized it wouldn't be taken as intended, and I don't want to be hurtful.
