Most Pisces tend to have good intentions at heart.

Pisces men typically do tend to have more issues than the women. Maybe it's due to the hypersensitivity of the sign- they aren't really comfortable with their natural selves.

I have seen several Pisces males project this image of hypermasculinity to cover up what they perceive as weakness. Or they go on the opposite end: they see themselves as this great and savior-like martyr, but are actually rather self-absorbed. ie.) They are wrapped up in their own emotions and in following them, they may leave their family behind.

I would say Pisces' greatest strength is their sense of intuition, which is considered a feminine trait. Unfortunately, this discourages non-females from using it, and they refer to deluding themselves instead. Of course, this could apply to females equally as well. I definitely agree with Kannon in how Pisces men are discouraged from utilizing their talents.

There's good and bad everywhere. Find an extensive list of famous people with a sun sign (and probably any other placement, certainly outer planet placements) and you'll find names to praise and condemn (sometimes both). Where I see the difference is how they'll explain what they do and why to themselves and to others.

Yes, exactly.

Well the examples I gave were meant to show how Pisces maintains its independence...just highlighting how they remain their own person and are kinda stubborn at that. Most of these guys I listed are good husbands (or were, before they died.) If I told the full stories people would understand.

Actually I think Pisces is generally better in long term relationships than other signs, and it's partly because they are more self-sacrificing, and partly because they're better at keeping secrets. More discreet.

ETA: Hmm "discreet" is a problematic word, I meant that they know how to appease controlling partners while still sneakily doing what they want...they are good at relationship politics, I mean. I wouldn't call covering up outright cheating "discreet"..more like deceptive...but that's held many marriages together over the years, too, I'm sure...for better and worse.

Yo to be honest I'm sick of pisces men getting a bad rap I feel I have to stick up for my sign

Steve jobs,Victor hugo, floyd mayweather, Einstein, Kurt cobain, bruce willis, JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF, george Washington, Adam Levine, Paul walker (pisces moon), Michael Jackson (pisces moon and rising), martin luther king (moon)

I mean those are only a few but come on..we can do some extraordinary things but having every sign encompassed in you can really knock you off your rocker. We just feeeeeellll soooooo hard. And it's an extremely feminine sign. It's hard for pisces guys we'll get it together

Just remember with Pisces it has to be unconditional love.
They are not "bad" people. They are often misunderstood and so often they fall victim to lies and other people's controlling tactics which might not be in their best interests. I would tell someone who is marrying one not to fret and to remain happy and positive. That's another thing, they will sense if you are unhappy and it could cause them to be a bit distance because they like to be in happy situations with happy people. So be happy!

I looked up this old thread for you....please, no one bump it due to the drama as this is merely to comfort you (and anyone else with a Pisces) rather than a chance to work mischief by bumping it just to stir the pot:
http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/227757.html

I'm simply too tired to transfer the info over (to prevent those who love drama from bumping it) and besides I wasn't the one to do the work to put it together and wouldn't want to imply it was.

Oh, and what I said before here helps...usually when you "only hear bad things" is actually you only REMEMBER bad things while forgetting all the good (a major source of anxiety and depression among many people). Make a point that when you find something good to commit it to memory, it can help you feel better.

From what i seen they cna be lured but not controlled, theyll simply slip away. But its not hard to lure them, and the best way to keep them out of trouble is to simply lure them the other direction gently...

I think it's more to do with them being sensitive people and there could very well be restlessness associated with this sign. Sometimes, people might come on too strongly around them as well because Neptune and Pisces energy is thought of as being the most receptive of all. It's best to work things through with them in a civil manner, where they feel very safe and comfortable talking about it. They need to feel supported and not attacked.

LOL good old me with the Pisces appreciation thread. I forgot that I made it!

I got into so much trouble for it, too!

But look at all those cute Pisces guys.

Seriously I love Garth Brooks. I don't know anything about country music but I loooooooove him.

Pisces energy has larger than life projects they devote themselves to. The Pisces sun from high school eventually got her masters degree, wrote a book with another author and had it published. It is a local history book.

Thank you, Faith

Hm I do think this is something all mutable signs are good at (+ Libra, a double sign), they just have different tactics; all of these placements bring the ability to play double games and be political in relationships; I am not sure Pisces are the best at this. Them being accused of it proves it entirely I mean when was the last time you saw a thread here with "why do Virgo men have a bad reputation for cheating?" hahahaha that's because when and if they want to do it, no one will find out: smart, practical, attention to details, silent as the earth and always able to pull a Virgin Mary.

All the mentioned signs have this ability to say yes while thinking no, then eventually do what they think, not what they say, cover up their tracks, and also choose to lie to protect other people from painful truths, they just do it with slightly different methods.

Perhaps the focus on Pisces has something to do with the fascination and mystery Neptune brings; they seem to always have a more glamorized reputation than they actually deserve. Being openly unreliable, if this is the case, must be a reason too (they are escapists, if they can avoid something, they will do it). Also, they follow their feelings and emotions, and no one can cage feelings and emotions, and this probably triggers fears and insecurity in some people: someone following their feelings instead of the rules of the game. Still, they are able of incredible sacrifices for their loved ones and their friends. I wouldn't call them independent either, the Pisces I've known since childhood, men and women are actually very clingy and supportive and looking for someone to lead the way, to find a watercourse for them, so to speak.

I've tried dating several, pisces Suns or Moons.
Not one has been long term either due to lying...typically hiding that they keep exes and always flirt, they always seem to have a place they go to get a lot of xtra attention from other females, bars, clubs or one a dating site that he liked to talk to ppl but never set anything up with them.
Since they don't "physically" do anything they think it's ok to do this as they say they love you..... buts it's not it's called an emotional affair.
They hide this for but eventually they slip up or I sense it and go looking for what it is I'm feeling. Then they are always mad I found it and called them out.
They just seem to have an bottomless well of needing everyone's attention and will get it in anyway possible even if it means stepping on the ppl who genuinely love them. That's why I can't believe scorp's and pisces are supposed to be a good match, lol!!

Or they flip flopping between being very loving then cold and hateful then apologizing and being so romantic only to eventually return to being mean for no reason. In their apologies they will acknowledge that if they could stay consistent our relationship would be great because we typically get along so well.(my 12th house virgo moon and Neptune conjunct Sun, I'm a lot like them)
BUT maybe the fact that I'm Neptunian not a pisces means that the moodiness, lies, being mean for no reason and inconsistent behaviors drives me nuts!

True...or maybe they are just more honest and confess to it? But then, I can't understand how they maintain such long relationships if they are cheating and badly hiding it?

Oh it's such a riddle!

ROTFL

Well I keep mentioning all these Pisces I know and some of them... I cannot imagine them ever cheating.

I agree. Well I never dated a Pisces and now that I think of it, maybe I just wouldn't want to lose my "glamorized" impression of them.

In my experience many are physically clingy but all are mentally independent. I grew up next door to my Pisces best friend and she ALWAYS wanted me at her house. I could not handle being with anyone non-stop (not sure if all Pisces moons are more aloof than the suns, but it's true in our case.) However, she has her own opinions, she would never just undersign what someone else says, unless she fully agrees with it. My dream is for her to go to law school because I swear she's the most logical person I've ever met and could argue anyone into a corner. Amal Clooney included.

On the other hand most Pisces that I know are religious, and that's relying on a belief system that someone else laid out. So hmm.

Yes!! This is me. Excellent way of putting it. When I'm in a relationship I'm physically always wanting to show lots of attention, I am very thoughtful with romantic surprises here and there, and I'm always wanting to make sure that they feel loved. However at times I need my breathing room and when I want space, I want space.

It's sort of a battle of wanting to be around the person and being all lovey-dovey but at the same time wanting my own space and not feeling claustrophobic and stuffy. Being around someone all the time just makes me feel trapped and suffocated. Ugh, it makes me cringe just thinking about it lol!

I do have a girlfriend who is a Pisces and her boyfriend is a Taurus sun/Pisces moon. He is obsessed with her. No literally, he keeps a spreadsheet of all their dates with important notes: first kiss, first time I met her parents, etc. He posts on Facebook every single date they have had- he counts every single date. They had 50 dates within 2 1/2 months, they celebrated their 100th date with a grand vacation, and now they're having a group celebration for their 7 month anniversary. They have known each other for 7 months and are moving in together next month. It's crazy overboard. My friend (the Pisces) had told him many times that sometimes she needs her space to which he got offended. She was basically having a mental breakdown because she was stressed at work and then having to see him every single night without anytime to herself. It was too overwhelming for her. He of course was offended and thought she didn't love him and all of this drama. She had to gently say to him that sometimes she just needs her own space. He still doesn't understand and keeps pushing her to see her every single day. Oh well, to each their own I guess. The bottom line is that even though Pisces needs their space, it doesn't mean that we don't care about the other person. We just need time to recharge.

I wonder if an Aqua placement, most likely Venus in this case, doesn't play a strong role here, in your case, Polkadotstars, and for your friend too, Faith.

I'm an Aries Venus. It is conjunct with my Aries Mars which I have been told is like a Libra vibe. Not sure if that plays into part at all. I am on the Aquarius Pisces cusp as well- my birthday is February 19.

I also have a lot of guy friends. I used to have a lot more and was always friends with my exes. My ex boyfriend (Sagittarius) was extremely jealous and made me cut them out of my life. He even made me defriend people on Facebook. It was really hard on me and I hurt my friends in the process, including my exes which upset me a lot. But he said if I didn't cut them off then that meant I valued them more than the relationship. I should have ended it sooner with him lol. But I have always had more guy friends than girls. I just get along better with them. Girls are more judgy and uptight. I can be more relaxed with guys without having to worry they'll gossip about me behind my back- you know how girls are lol.

So sad.

I won't even get a Facebook because that would happen to me. I'm on good terms with most of my exes and I have some other guy friends. I wouldn't be able to say "no" to a friend request from them. But that would cause marriage problems.
