It's pretty far-fetched to think that could end up in court, but things like that DO happen, so I would err on the side of caution and protect the whole forum by removing the person.

He was looking for a very specific *something*. While I don't know what that is, it seems he got disappointed that he didn't find exactly the line/thought/motivation/reason he was looking for. All else is white noise. Though, he appreciates the effort in a way - maybe it didn't resonate with something inside him.

Or, maybe he was just looking for affirmation of 'special-ness' of the chart.

BTW someone who is truly suicidal tends to not announce it and just acts on it, this is specially the case with males. This is what its typically called a cry for help except he doesn't want help, he has been offered help again and again but he refuses it bc he is an expert and knows better than everyone. He takes the route of not taking responsibility for doing what is truly needed to better his mental health and just blaming counselors and the health care system instead for not getting better. Our health care system is not my ideal but plenty of people do get help this way.

Very true. Not only from my own personal issues that I've fought but unfortunately I've known of a few males who have followed through with suicide. Friends of friends or friends of family. In every case of completed suicide, people were shocked and had no idea. I read one of the letters, which was a poem, and it made sense to me. Yet it never makes sense to stop fighting to make your life what you want it to be.
I don't mean to sound like we shouldn't take each threat seriously. That's ultimately the correct thing to do.

I have grown up surrounded by difficult people and then I married one, so I am very thick skinned about me offering help and someone rejecting it. Rolls off my back, and I don't hold a grudge.
