I would beg all governments to increase security in nightclubs, see this is the second nightclub attack after Paris. Many years earlier, Aussies were murdered in a Bali Nightclub.

He was a US citizen born in the US in 1986. You can't deport a citizen who has committed no crime; heck, you can't deport a citizen period.

It's too early to know how he became radicalized (if that is the issue; it's quite possible he was a mentally ill "lone wolf" sympathizer, which is virtually impossible to predict).

I agree it's an epic fail, but it's an epic fail of a society that allows almost everyone to possess military assault weapons and huge amounts of ammunition.

Ps: regarding weapon.... The idea that "good" people should be armed to defend against dangerous psychopath is like saying to non smoker that they must smoke to not be bothered by the smell...

I'm in Orlando, too - so very happy to hear that your friend is okay. This weekend has been surreal and heartbreaking in the worst possible way... However, as you know if you live here - we have a strong community. We will be okay.
