Calling all Capricorn experts. Does it ever stop being about them? While interested in me and my life, inevitably, we gravitate mostly to talk about HIM and his life grievances, thoughts, feelings and passions all the damn time.

Also, for the love of God, when does this glacial pace reach a pinnacle? I'm pickling here, anticipating when he will make his move.

Brief background:
Met him at a work project. I reached out over social media just so we can 'stay in touch'. Incessant DM-ing and texting from him since. For months. We still text every day, hang out sometimes, talk on phone sometimes. He acts like it's friendship, but whenever we're together, touches and hugs me, never wants to go home, blah blah blah. But then also calls me 'homie' and makes no moves. If I flirt or am too forward, I sense he doesn't know what to do and sorta just freezes and moves onto a different vibe. So I go along with this 'friendship' pretense for the moment, because for better or worse, we do get along really well and have a great time. If anything, he'll be a good friend to have. But the chemistry is undeniable.

What's everyone's read on this creature?

This is MY FIRST CAPRICORN, so I'm sussing it out.

HIM:
Sun Cap
Moon Virgo
Merc Sag
Venus Scorpio
Mars Pisces
Not sure about Ascendant.

ME:
Sun + ASC Cancer
Moon Sag
Merc Leo
Venus Virgo
Mars Cancer

Thanks, y'all.

That has not been my experience with Capricorn men or women at all. They are usually private and reserved, preferring to learn more about you.

You can say I am a cappy expert, I work with 3 capricorn women and the director has moon in capricorn, my parents are both capricorns and so is my brother, my last lover is a cappy and the current guy I am seeing also as well. My last supervisor was a capricorn too. I am constantly surrounded by them.

Okay so he is a cap with moon in virgo and venus in scorpio so he is definitely shy and venus in scorpio is very guarded and often prefers to take it slow, very slow hahaha or they go tooooo fast and fall in love very fast hahaha.

You have to create an in for him. Like the current guy I am seeing, we met at a training and at the end of the training I was giving someone my number and he approached us bc we both speak spanish and he then started speaking to me in spanish and saying his spanish is not that great and then I told him you should practice speaking spanish with me and the next thing you know he is asking for my number ect..

Is still odd he talks a lot about himself with all those placements though. My dad is a Capricorn with moon in virgo and is modest and reserved, great listener.

I would say that capricorn in combo with scorpio often results in a strong desire to feel in control which can translate into been guarded and afraid of getting attached so a bit of an avoidant style of attachment.

PREACH.
I'll destroy somethin' if I don't soon.
Question is, if you mount the Fish, will the Goat run away?

Hypathia238:

Thanks for the insights!
Reckon you’ve nailed it with the innate interplay of Cap and Scorp.

Several “ins” were needed indeed. He goes through most of them (almost as if it was HIS idea) and then boom, we are back again to ‘homies’. Two steps forward, three back.

Exhausting, mysterious, occasionally even boring for me. But Gosh, he is a beautiful one (inside and out).

I don’t want to deal with a persona, I want to deal with the person.

Fiercely resists romantic interaction.
Contacts me 24/7.
When I'm around, doesn't wanna part.

Face palm.

that sounds so familiar! hahahaha the cappy I am seeing now has venus in scorpio...but yes beautiful soul and a cutie so worth sticking it out however everyone has limits...

Good point about Mars in pisces, they don't tend to go after what they want at all, VERY passive!

Sun in Cappy is giving. I would say it is more Mars in Pisces and Moon in Virgo.

Moon in Virgo is giving! they show love through acts of service, doing things for you like making you a meal. In Esoteric astrology the moon is at home in virgo actually.

Lol. Cap Sun is cardinal. Its mostly very focused on self-actualization.All cardinal signs ime are self-involved.

Cap excels in matters of business or things that require structure.Emotional intensity tends to stomp them considerably-this especially when we consider Moon in Cap/ Virgo. As the latter mentioned energy positions tend to sponsor emotionally "structured" responses that borders on impassivity many times.

The added Venus in Scorpio suggests that relationships are approached with fear, excitement & trepidation( all at once). And this complements the careful approach that Moon in Virgo is all about.

One is self protective, suspicious, has intense feelings that may engulf and disturb the native so much so, that they suppress them.Maybe even up to a point where they may "appear" indifferent(but they are not).

He is heavy going imo(unless you want to experince that). As I often feel that if he really likes you, he would leave no space for doubt-even if he is cautious. He would do his best to let you know where his head is at.

There is a push/pull dynamic with that Moon/Mars in opposite signs(especially if in aspect). Mars in Pisces is a romantic position and will often be "forward" in romantic pursuits on one hand. They dream of happy endings.

But with Moon in Virgo, the inevitable "pull back" follows that Mars enthusiasm.Often coming across as someone who blows hot/cold because of self doubt and fear of being heartbroken.

First establish if he even likes you like that.To me it doesn't seem so. But Good Luck!

Perhaps I see what you mean but my dad has sun in cap square neptune with moon in virgo and he is not like that at all but maybe the square to neptune is why, I never felt criticized by him ever which is mind blowing actually, I have never felt judged or criticized by him, I feel this is mind blowing bc people have a tendency to judge and criticize. He is so careful with his body language, affect and words.

Mars in Pisces can stop being passive, when faced with a side-stepping Mars in Cancer. Personal experience here. I also have fire in me, though. I didn't appreciate the game-playing, and wanted to be the girl, not having to ask, "Are we going to do this, or not?" And this was when *I* was all sweet and shy.

Oh, you're a Mars in Cancer? LOL. This guy had Mars conjunct Saturn in Cancer. Things didn't get off the ground, for a few reasons.

Yes Aries23 there is no doubt he likes me, he took me on wonderful first date, was nervous, wanted everything to be perfect and we make out and kiss a lot and he has expressed he likes me inside and out but he has mars in capricorn conjunct sun and her guy has mars in pisces which can be trickier.

Mars in Pisces can spill all kinds of things, when we're emotional enough. At least I can. If I'm really happy, really sad, or just in the right mood, the emotions will be there. I used to be much more reserved, I wasn't much for arguing, but if you shocked me into it, I would let loose, crying the whole time.

Then there are the times when you're just feeling grateful, or thoughtful: I texted a friend of mine (male) last night, and just thanked him for being a decent man, and a good friend.

@teasal

Mars in Pisces are usually very charming and attractive, I just feel they don't tend to pursue, they need to be pursued.

Aspects to the planets always count.Your Cap Sun guy is all about clarity. Mars on his Sun will push forward for a more "direct" approach. This even with a cautious Moon/Venus there.

There's a tendency for Mars to just "take over" & assert oneself in courtship-this especially if Mars is in 5th,in aspect to Sun,Mars in Leo,Mars in 7th, Mars in Libra or Mars in aspect to Venus(this especially the conjunction)

I did make a case for Mars in Pisces because Pisces DO have a tendency to want to re-create the beauty of falling inlove and can pursue romantic endeavors ardently.

The approach here may be more "behind the scenes" though(Pisces) i.e The friend who is there for you(but you never notice) or the co-worker who does small favours for you with a smile(but you don't always acknowledge them) etc.

There is something strongly unobtrusive about Mars in Pisces.

this observations!

Its funny bc when he approached me a Mars in Libra guy was getting my number (as friends) and then he came in and started to talking in spanish and then I was like you should practice speaking spanish with me and then he got my number lol

Yes I can say mars in libra takes action in these matters..my dad has mars in libra too.

Just wanted to clarify if this was a response to Hypathia or I?

If for me: I assumed the same at some point (he just doesn't like me - ok cool). Accepted it as platonic friendship with some chemistry on the side and let it go.

But here we are, almost a year later. I am not exaggerating, he texts all day. ALL. DAY. When we hang, he never flippin' wants to leave. Holds my hand. Hugs me. Plays 'couple' pretend.

Could just be games, but I feel like he's playing house.

I am trying to be without agenda, but dude...

hypatia had mentioned that she is also dating a Cap. But his Mars is in Cap conjunct Sun.

In your case Mars is in Pisces & judging by what he is doing, I do understand the confusion.

My advice is to not let him think he can get just come in & out without asserting what he wants. Make it clear to him what you want & then step back.

If he wants you,he will have to do more to assure you about what is going on between you two.
