It's not for me to say what you should think, Aquaguy.

Your life experience is your own, and you make decisions that are right for you.

@Ellyn

The expression "kiddo" made me laugh.

@aquaguy

Until you test drive a positive attitude, you'll never know for sure what it can or can't do for your life.

But I will say something...for me, I have to eat well to have a positive attitude. Super healthy, raw food seems to have happiness as an ingredient. I eat raw for a few days and I glow. There is no "attitude" at all, per say, it's just automatic optimism.

In Ayurveda, most raw live food is called "sattvic" and that's exactly the effect they say it will have: lifting up the mind and spirits. In my experience, this cause and effect relationship is very clear.

I'll bet just a few microwaved tv dinners can kill attitudes that are already weak.

So yeah, eating dandelions, drinking fresh goat milk...these things can be central to a well-lived life. IMHO (as usual.)

Does anyone else think of Heidi as soon as "goat milk" comes up?

I had an Angora Goat named Swanleigh.

My daughter had Goat's Milk from a Half Gallon Mason Jar, once I quit feeding her myself.

So healthy...have you read this one?

To be honest, goat milk is sort of gross to me, but I love the idea of it. And I've read excerpts from the above book ~ he talks about how natural sodium from goat's milk nourishes the joints and can reverse very advanced cases of arthritis.

He is not going to "hear" you Faith

Went to see Mom today, in the nursing home, wound up talking w/her roomate..and giving her a shot of Vodka..even tho the nurses would not "allow" it

No better set of eyes to be on mom then her room mate, best to offer a soft bribe so to say

Which to me, is interesting, she told me, her name is Julie, they steal things from the old folks in their care

Padre I just have a different perspective on the matter. Let me put it this way... Was watching the Mavs/Spurs playoff game tonight, was one of the best games i have seen in a long time. I am a huge mavs fan and have been for years. So its easy to understand that I was beyond thrilled when Vince Carter nailed a 3 at the buzzer to lift the mavs to a 109-108 victory over the spurs. Both teams fought equally hard and both teams were covered in sweat at the end... There were 18 lead changes during the course of the game and it was close throughout... But it all came down to luck at the end.. The mavs had the ball last and vince carter nailed a lucky 3 pointer to win the game and the arena erupted, it was luck... Simple as that.... As a basketball player myself I know how much luck factors into the game... The truth is basketball can be a very unforgiving game... Sometimes you step into the gym and make every shot you take and sometimes everything rims out and you cant buy a basket even if you are doing everything right. And wanna know something else? Everytime a basketball player shoots the ball they think it will go in, they envision it going into the basket. But guess what? Their belief that it will go into the basket doesnt mean it will... Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesnt... Thats just how it works.. Why is this important? Because it demonstrates that attitude has nothing to do with success or failure... And you know what? Life is just like the game of basketball in that way! You win some you lose some and you make some and miss some... Sometimes you are red hot and cant miss and other times you are ice cold and cant even convert on a simple layup. My point? Life happens and it has little respect for your positivity or lack thereof... All you can do is try your best and work your a** off and hope you hoist the trophy at the end of the day, but there are no guarantees! Basically I see positivity as a desirable mindset but nothing more.. What really matters is hardwork, and you dont need to be positive or sunshine and rainbows to do that.

It's nice to revisit those places once in a while, isn't it?
I don't miss living in the town I grew up in (that's for sure), but I do love my grandma's house and her property (now divided between my mom, aunt, and uncle). There were a lot of happy memories there for me, and I love driving down the rural back roads when I go home to visit.

I also love the town we live in now, which is about 40 minutes from the city, in the mountains a bit. I saw some deer crossing the street from our forest area the other day, some hawks flying in the sky, and a little humming bird.
But it's so expensive to live here...I guess that's why people move to places like Missouri to buy land, haha. It's affordable, at least.
