My apologies to Mr Mangum. I am far to old to know who the underground bands are these days. My club-hopping days ended when I was about your age. No, I don't think he was being "wantonly different". It sounds like self-inflicted misery to me. A concept with which I am all too familiar. But I'm willing to give the poor b*stard the benefit of the doubt.

So you think I'm being judgemental? Hmmm. I'm going to counter that with my firm belief that there is a world of difference between being judgemental and having an opinion. There are many paths up the Mountain and various phases a soul must pass through. Who am I to judge the journey? Maybe "disappointed" would have been a more accurate assessment. I've known so many ... how should I say ... outwardly weird types. You know the sort I mean. Rarely did their insides match the outer exterior. The truly interesting ones often seem perfectly normal from the outside. I often wonder why someone would feel the need to look like an outsider when they're really not. Why the false advertisment? I guess they're just experimenting to see what fits.

HSC you're the coolest for sharing all this - God knows I'd be too much of a coward to share my problems - which is probably why I'll die young
Emotionally, I've been through what you're going through right now, but mine ( thanks to my s*** luck ) started when I was really young - this meant that the pressures of school just made it ten times worst. I think I'm just getting over my teens but there's still a dark aftertaste - if you know what I mean. I agree you should get out there, more than you're doing now. You'll feel much better

Oh and we're all different - just that some choose to show it and some don't that's all.

And the thing you said about eye contact,

I thought it was a Scorpio thing - you don't like it? I love it - I think it's cool I can sometimes out stare the Scorps I know "Pisces water runs deep" Hope you soon start to feel better.

Just off the highway to Rochester, Minnesota,

Once, while hiking in Maine, my husband and I accidentally came upon a few horses playing in a small fenced in area. Right there in the middle of the forest. Odd. And Magical. I sometimes wonder if I dreamt it and I ask my husband if he remembers it too - just so I know I'm not insane. It's a good memory I often come back too. One of those Deleriously Happy Moments

Heart-Shaped Cross, you sound fabulous. Listen, I can totally relate to you and thats why it is with love that I say Enough. Enough of the drama, already.

You are fine. You are healthy and have all your limbs. You are intelligent and articulate and not afraid to own your emotions. It could very well be circumstantial, where you havent met anybody or being in an environment that you.

In the words of the late great Aaliyah, 'If at first you dont suceed, dust yourself of and try again'.

I really dont mean to belittle anything thats been said but I dont believe in overanalysing things. Where do you stop? You just get lost. I just want to shake you and yell 'Get over yourself'. Ok, there are all these 'challenges' in your life the main challenge being you. Accept the challenges for what they are and try and enjoy them cos ultimately nothing is ever that bad.
