lol
you know you keep attacking me on this thread... maybe you'd secretly like to kill me?
I'm actually asking a question not giving a statement!
geez!

You insinuated I would want to kill you.
That is not a joking matter.
I see nothing "lol" or about killing or joking as you say you did.
Not funny nor very spiritually enlightened.
No
not funny at all.
Yet YOU found it funny?

I'd like to know where the "fire-breathing" part was.....

I guess you moderators all sleep in the same bed so no point me really even discussing this with the 2 of you.
Dang, she sussed us!!
Yep, we mods are all in bed together, plotting on how to best annoy innocent posters..... positioned at each of the 4 sacred directions, sometimes looking askance, sometimes even agreeing.....

Blessings to you Lara, and GoodJourney ~

Or...out looking for Schrödinger's cat as usual.

pps. "Good Journey" is welcomed, if only l was going somewhere lol
maybe Aliens will abduct me overnight and convince me that killing in self-defense is the right way

Lexx - chill. My LOL started my post as l was laughing at your taking my previous post 'out of context' before l even starting typing the damn post.

you know what, go ahead and think i'm a sicko... make-up whatever you want about me cos i'm getting impatient with this picking every damn post of mine apart!!!

Go question why Zala has only 4 cats in her bed when there are a dozen moderators or something, purrrrrrlease!

Naaaah, Killer’s not under my bed, he’s on his kitty-tree, methodically planning his next commando mission to take out one of my legs if I don’t give him the good catfood

Lara,

"This attack sounds like a direct response to his childhood problems, don't you think?"

This question is a little suggestive, don`t you think?
Maybe that is what stirred up things a bit.

I agree with LEXX here, but in a way I also agree with you.

Yes, I think what he did might be a direct response to his childhood. For what he has suffered I had and still have great compassion. He really suffered a horrible childhood. Still even though it may partly EXPLAIN things, it doesn´t EXCUSE them.
He committed a crime, the most horrible crime there is. That`s just a fact.

Also, he could have chosen differently. Others with the same childhood problems have NOT gone down that road.

But his situation is completely different to one of those people, who protect their family from a deadly attack.
And what I wanted to say actually, is that I don`t know what I would have done if he had attacked my brother and I had been there. I just don`t know.
I probably wouldn`t have killed him, but to protect my brother I would have accepted his accidental death as a possibility.
I would NOT have gone to act out revenge (at least I think I wouldn`t), but if I was in that situation, and had to protect my brother, I would have. No matter what.
And honestly I think I wouldn`t be able to calculate coldblooded just how much I have to beat him with the shovel (you almost never have the weapon of your choice at hand in such situations, but have to put up with whatever there is), so that he will stop AND not die himself.

But honestly, I don`t know what I would do. It`s all theory. And as long as we haven`t been in such a situation, that is all we can say about it. Theoretical thoughts how we think we might act. But noone really knows.

I am happy I never have been in such a situation and had to make a choice like this. And I pray I never will.

Lara, when I said getting even, I meant putting them I jail in solitary confinement for the rest of their lives. Putting someone to death is the easy way out for them. They dont suffer any.
