No... I hadn't read this. Just read it now. I just had the impulse to finally write something. Something was holding me back until then.

Life.

God.

I will hold you, baby.
It's ok.

MIXED BAG!

It makes me feel like an alien. BUT I'm proud of it.
I always LOVED the song 'I will' by the Beatles because it contains the words....

"And when at last I find you, your song will fill the air.
Sing it loud so I can hear you, make it easy to be near you.
For the things you do endear me to you,
Oh you know, I will"

What that means to me is to be who you are loud and clear without doubt without fear.
Be unique and sing your song so there's no doubt who you belong to.

Good choice

When the rain
Is blowing in your face
And the whole world
Is on your case
I could offer you
A warm embrace
To make you feel my love

When the evening shadows
And the stars appear
And there is no one there
To dry your tears
I could hold you
For a million years
To make you feel my love

I know you
Haven't made
Your mind up yet
But I would never
Do you wrong
I've known it
From the moment
That we met
No doubt in my mind
Where you belong

I'd go hungry
I'd go black and blue
I'd go crawling
Down the avenue
No, there's nothing
That I wouldn't do
To make you feel my love

The storms are raging
On the rolling sea
And on the highway of regret
Though winds of change
Are throwing wild and free
You ain't seen nothing
Like me yet

I could make you happy
Make your dreams come true
Nothing that I wouldn't do
Go to the ends
Of the Earth for you
To make you feel my love

I really like that Cat Stevens song

Ramble On ~ Led Zeppelin

Leaves are falling all around,
Its time I was on my way.
Thanks to you, Im much obliged
For such a pleasant stay.

But now its time for me to go,
The autumn moon lights my way.
For now I smell the rain,
And with it pain,
And its headed my way.
Ah, sometimes I grow so tired,
But I know Ive got one thing I got to do,

Ramble on,
And nows the time, the time is now
To sing my song.
Im goin round the world,
I got to find my girl, on my way.
Ive been this way ten years to the day, ramble on,
Gotta find the queen of all my dreams.

Got no time to for spreadin roots,
The time has come to be gone.
And tho our health we drank a thousand times,
Its time to ramble on.

Ramble on,
And nows the time, the time is now
To sing my song.
Im goin round the world,
I got to find my girl, on my way.
Ive been this way ten years to the day, ramble on,
Gotta find the queen of all my dreams.

I aint tellin no lie.

Mines a tale that cant be told,
My freedom I hold dear;
How years ago in days of old
When magic filled the air,
Twas in the darkest depths of mordor
I met a girl so fair,
But gollum, and the evil one crept up
And slipped away with her.
Her, her....yea.
Aint nothing I can do, no.

Ramble on,
And nows the time, the time is now
To sing my song.
Im goin round the world,
I got to find my girl, on my way.
Ive been this way ten years to the day, ramble on,
Gotta find the queen of all my dreams.

Gonna ramble on, sing my song
Gotta keep-a-searchin for my baby...
Gonna work my way, round the world
I cant stop this feelin in my heart
Gotta keep searchin for my baby
I cant find my bluebird!
Id listen to my bluebird sing but I cant find my blue bird
A-keep-a ramblin baby...

Another one you might hear God singing:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c1wQYZwWMPU

What I feel, I cant say
But my love is there for you anytime of day
But if its not love that you need
Then Ill try my best to make everything succeed

Tell me, what is my life without your love
Tell me, who am I without you, by my side

What I know, I can do
If I give my love now to everyone like you
But if its not love that you need
Then Ill try my best to make evrything succeed

Tell me, what is my life without your love
Tell me, who am I without you, by my side
Tell me, what is my life without your love
Tell me, who am I without you, by my side

What I feel, I cant say
But my love is there for you any time of day
But if its not love that you need
Then Ill try my best to make everything succeed

Tell me, what is my life without your love
Tell me, who am I without you, by my side
Oh tell me, what is my life without your love
Tell me, who am I without you, by my side

What is my life without your love
Tell me, who am I without you, by my side

(fade
Oh tell me, what is my life without your love
Tell me who am I without you by my side

Tomorrow Is A Long Time
If today was not an endless highway,
If tonight was not a crooked trail,
If tomorrow wasn't such a long time,
Then lonesome would mean nothing to you at all.
Yes, and only if my own true love was waitin',
Yes, and if I could hear her heart a-softly poundin',
Only if she was lyin' by me,
Then I'd lie in my bed once again.

I can't see my reflection in the waters,
I can't speak the sounds that show no pain,
I can't hear the echo of my footsteps,
Or can't remember the sound of my own name.
Yes, and only if my own true love was waitin',
Yes, and if I could hear her heart a-softly poundin',
Only if she was lyin' by me,
Then I'd lie in my bed once again.

There's beauty in the silver, singin' river,
There's beauty in the sunrise in the sky,
But none of these and nothing else can touch the beauty
That I remember in my true love's eyes.
Yes, and only if my own true love was waitin',
Yes, and if I could hear her heart a-softly poundin',
Only if she was lyin' by me,
Then I'd lie in my bed once again.

Hey.

I haven't talked to you in a while. However, I've been observing what appears to be a subtle, yet pervasive transformation.

I was reading your words in Astro 2.0-- about God. I liked this:

quote:
Most athiests think they are refuting God, when they are merely refuting other people's definitions of God.

Likewise... those who hold said definitions like to call the "others" atheists.

I don't consider myself anything at all (atheist, Christian, etc.) I believe God just "is," just as all we are, and all anyone is simply "is." I feel strongly that all things in our universe are interconnected and God is the force behind that.

Thank you, Quinnie!
Beautiful lyrics.

Hey Future,

Nice to see you.

You are always free to consider yourself whatever you like,
or not to consider yourself anything at all, if you like,
but, the definition you have given is of a standard brand of Theism.
To apply the word "God" to anything that you believe exists,
even if existence and interconnective force are its only attributes,
is to proclaim yourself a theist, in the language of our time.
So, if its all the same to you, I will consider you a theist.

I also call myself a theist, as I also use the word "God" to refer to a univeral spirit, or binding univeral order.
Beyond that, I can only speculate, and assert different things at different times about the nature of "God".
I believe speculation is an appropriate environment for theology since the mind can only imagine what the unconscious presents to it;
the mind perceives God even as it creates idols of God, and the ego is undermined by its own projections (onto the godhead).

The mind is a sense, like any other, and perceives reality like any other.
Thoughts and images encountered by the mind are independent and actual realities.
But, the nature of reality is to simultaneously reveal and veil itself.
While superficial observation of the material world yeilds superficial theories and conclusions,
similarly, superficial contemplation of the metaphysical world will yeild superficial theories and conclusions.
What we think about God is a signpost; something to be interpreted, and left behind.
What is unfortuneate is that we enshrine the signposts that line the path, and make our devotions to them.
If we just read the sign we would not worship and adorn it or try to make it the center of all roads, but follow its directions.

Something like that. I know you know.

Very cool reply. Just today I was pondering these things over a sink full of dishes... I should never get a dishwasher, if for this reason alone. Anyway, I keep getting the "atheist" thing tossed at me, and it just doesn't make sense. I thought to myself, I'm a "theist," but I had never heard of such a thing.

Not that the label matters at all. However, I tend to like labels, as they give me a point of reference from which to come and go as I please. I find it's the easiest way for me to get an overview, if you will.

I don't intend that to sound ignorant, and I don't use such things as labels and categories with a closed mind.

Thanks for your response. I enjoyed your words.

I'm sorry I offended you...

I realized how f---d up my tone was after i posted,
and i meant to come back and edit my post,
but then i got sidetracked and forgot.

So, yeah...
I dont have the energy to explain everything,
... but I apologize and I'm happy for you.

Sounds like your earthbound wisdom has alchemized and become self-reflective.

I did some thinking about you last night. I think I understand some of this:

quote:
So, yeah...
I dont have the energy to explain everything

You nailed it, though... I was a bit hurt by the tone. I can see where part of it came from; in my excitement to address the part that had been swimming in my head, I failed to acknowledge the thought that went into the rest of it. I'm sorry if I offended you in that way.
